In this episode, I’m talking about something simple yet powerful: creating a happy list for yourself.
This idea came from a sweet little moment with my son Freddie, and it reminded me how often we forget what makes us feel calm, lit-up or grounded especially when we are in the thick of motherhood.
When we get a moment to ourselves, it can feel impossible to choose something that actually refuels us because we’re so used to either giving our time away, or going blank when the moment finally arrives.
In this episode, you’ll learn:
- What a happy list is and why it’s so helpful for mums
- How to prep your brain ahead of time so you’re not frozen when you get a moment to yourself
- Why “making it tangible” is so important when it comes to lightening the mental load
- What to include on your list (and how to build it in a way that works)
- How I’m using this tool right now in my own life
Press play and start building your happy list with me.

In this episode, I’m walking you through the process of welcoming an au pair into our family. I talk about what led to the decision, how we made it work, and the big (often unexpected) lessons I’ve learned along the way.
It’s not just about childcare. This season has brought up big things around capacity, communication, asking for support, and what it means to be resourceful *and* honest about your limits as a mum.
In this episode, you’ll learn:
- What pushed us to seek more support and why it wasn’t optional
- How I knew I had to communicate my needs more clearly (even when it felt uncomfortable)
- What I learned about receiving help and being open to community
- Why capable doesn’t have to mean silent, and how I practised being both
- What I’ll carry forward from this season, even beyond having an au pair
Whether you’re thinking about extra help or just need permission to say “this is too much,” this one is full of real talk and hard earned lessons and sharing the whole process with you.
Pop it in your ears now. I’m so glad we get to have these chats.

In this episode, I dig into the perfectionism that keeps so many of us in the cycle of waiting, hoping, and building up the longing for the perfect moment… only to freeze when the moment finally arrives.
You know that thing you’ve been dreaming about doing (the quiet solo coffee, that creative project, the time to just be?) This episode explores why it can feel easier to long for it than to actually do it.
And I share why disappointment doesn’t mean you’ve failed, it’s just part of the process.
This is something that has come up with a lot of my clients recently, so this is how I’ve coached them through it, and I hope it helps you too.
In this episode, you’ll learn:
- Why your brain keeps you stuck in the “if only…” loop
- What’s really underneath the pressure you put on solo time or hobbies
- How to spot if perfectionism is stopping you from taking action
- What to do when fear of disappointment holds you back
- A gentler, more sustainable way to get what you’re longing for
So if that is you and you find yourself sitting in the longing cycle and you find yourself stopping from taking action, just recognise that maybe just, maybe it is your brain keeping you safe, because it feels easier to sit in the longing than it does to feel the disappointment or the discouragement of taking action and it not being.

This episode is about the best way to be kinder to yourself and how it has nothing to do with bubble baths or slowing down.
I talk about the power of giving yourself credit (genuinely, not just as a throwaway) and how to retrain your brain to actually see the good you do each day.
I share how this shift is possible for anyone, even if your default right now is self-doubt, harsh inner talk, or constantly focusing on what’s not working.
In this episode, you’ll learn:
- Why your brain overlooks the good stuff (and how to change that)
- How to know if your default thoughts are holding you back
- What language and tone you actually want to hear in your head
- How to start teaching your brain a new, kinder inner dialogue
- Simple ways to make self-kindness feel more concrete and natural
If you’ve ever wanted to be a bit nicer to yourself but didn’t know how to make it stick, this one will show you what that really looks like in everyday motherhood.

This episode is about a little phrase that gets thrown around a lot… “it is what it is.”
I’m talking about the impact this has on how we view our lives, how we settle for things that don’t feel good, and why that matters more than we often realise.
This episode is part soapbox, part pep talk and a whole lot of encouragement to question the stories we’ve been handed about how life has to feel.
If you’ve ever caught yourself thinking “maybe this is just how it is now,” I want you to listen to this one.
In this episode, you’ll learn:
- Why “it is what it is” can keep you stuck without even realising it
- What I’ve noticed when this phrase shows up in motherhood and adult life
- How I catch myself before settling into stress as the default
- What to do when your belief in possibility starts to feel shaky
- How to hold on to your own way of thinking (even when others don’t get it)
This episode will remind you that it’s okay to want it, and you’re allowed to go after it.

In this episode, I’m diving into one of my absolute favourite mindset tools.
Journaling is something I’ve used for years to help unjumble my thoughts, find clarity, and stay connected to myself through the everyday chaos of motherhood.
Lately, I’ve had so many mums tell me they want to journal but feel unsure how to start or what it’s meant to look like.
So I’m keeping this episode short and simple, walking you through how I personally journal (no rules, no pressure), what it actually gives me, and a few other ways you can get the same outcome without picking up a pen.
In this episode, you’ll learn:
- Why journaling is one of my go to mindset tools
- What to focus on when you’re just starting
- How I use it to shift thoughts that aren’t helping me
- What to do if journaling isn’t your thing but you still want the benefits
- How to make it a habit without needing perfect conditions
If your head is feeling full and you’re craving a bit of space to think more clearly, this episode is for you.

In this episode, I’m talking about something that shows up for every single mum I work with…resourcing yourself.
I’ve been in a season lately where I’ve felt really under resourced (read: depleted, stretched, frazzled, low on joy).
And I’m walking you through what that looks like in real life, how it shows up in sneaky ways, and how I’m choosing to shift back into a more supported, sustainable place, without waiting for the stars to align.
I share how I know when I’m sliding into that under resourced zone, what I do to gently bring myself back, and why imperfect action always wins.
In this episode, you’ll learn:
- What feeling under resourced actually looks and sounds like in everyday motherhood
- How to notice your own early warning signs before things boil over
- Why waiting for the “perfect time” to feel better isn’t helping you
- Simple shifts I’m making (that don’t require overhauling your life)
- What communication has to do with resourcing and how to do it well
This episode is your reminder that you are allowed to prioritise your needs and that when you do, it ripples out to everyone around you.

This is one to tuck away for the next time you feel unsupported, frustrated, or like you’re doing it all.
In this episode, I share a pretty stressy moment from my own life.
It’s based on a recent (stressy) life admin moment that totally unravelled in our house. I walk you through how I found myself on the edge of disconnecting (big time), and what shifted when I chose to lean into connection instead.
I share how I coached myself in real time, what changed when I decided to move towards connection instead of away from it, and why it changed everything about how we got through it together.
If you’ve ever felt like you’ve got to fix the mess and manage the emotions too… this one will hit home.
In this episode, you’ll learn:
- What it looks like to choose connection in a moment of high stress
- Why disconnection can feel easier (but adds more emotional load)
- How to coach yourself when all you want to do is blame or shut down
- What to say or do when you feel unsupported
- How to build resilience in your relationships, especially when things go wrong
If you’ve ever thought, “Why is it always me who has to fix this?”, please listen to this one.

This episode is the final pep talk in my little four-part series to celebrate A Mother’s Mind Membership becoming a self-paced course (which means you can now join anytime that works for you!)
Today I’m chatting about something I know every mum has felt at one time or another … guilt.
That heavy, annoying, quiet (or sometimes loud) companion that seems to show up uninvited, especially when we’re doing something for ourselves.
But what if zero guilt wasn’t the goal?
In this pep talk, I walk you through a totally different way of looking at guilt. One that gives you more space, more ease, and a whole lot more self-trust.
Pop this in your ears if guilt has been creeping in lately. This short episode will help you shift the weight of it, without piling on more.

This episode is the third pep talk in a little series I’m sharing to celebrate A Mother’s Mind Membership now being a self-paced course you can join anytime.
In this one, I talk about something I see all the time in my coaching… when we expect our people to just know what we need, how we’re feeling, or what’s going on in our head.
I share how that usually plays out (hello, silent resentment) and a few things you can try instead to feel more seen, heard and supported.
Short, practical and packed with love. Pop it in your ears when you need a reminder that you’re not alone.

We’ve hit week two of the pep talk series, and this one is for you if everything lately just feels… rushed.
This episode is a short and powerful reminder that the rush isn’t always about what’s happening around you but also about what your brain is telling you.
In this pep talk you will learn:
- Why rushing doesn’t come from your to-do list (but from what you’re *thinking*)
- How to use feeling rushed as your cue to slow down
- A calming moment to come back to yourself, even if the kids are yelling and the laundry’s not done
- Why slowing down is actually the key to *doing less*, not more
This one’s less than 10 minutes and will leave you breathing slower and thinking clearer.

- A powerful reframe for when your brain won’t switch off

In this episode, I’m sharing why I believe it is possible to learn the skill of switching your brain off (even if it’s just for a moment) and why that belief has been one of the most important mindset shifts in my own motherhood journey.
There’s a deeply ingrained story in our culture, that a “good mum” always has a million tabs open in her mind.
Always on. Always thinking. Always holding it all.
But what if that didn’t have to be true?
In this episode, you will learn:
- The invisible rules we’ve absorbed about being a ‘switched on’ mum
- Why “mental load” doesn’t have to mean mental exhaustion
- How belief is the first (and most overlooked) step to change
- The difference between action and undercurrent belief
- How I started rewiring this belief in my own life (and how you can too)
This one might feel a bit stretchy, but it’s one I want you to hear, because this shift has changed how I show up in my day to day life in huge ways. And I believe it’s possible for you, too.

This episode is about recognising when it’s time to let go of the expectations you’re holding onto too tightly, especially the ones that no longer match your current season of life.
I share a real and recent shift in my own expectations around work, what led me to notice something was off, and how changing that one thing has lifted my mental load in big ways.
In this episode, you’ll learn:
- Why expectations (even helpful ones) can quietly become outdated
- The signs your expectations might need a refresh
- How unspoken rules you’ve set for yourself can quietly drain you
- What happened when I finally gave myself permission to update mine
- A simple question to ask when something just feels off
This is a must listen if you’re feeling stretched, mentally tapped out, or like you’re constantly wrestling with time.

This is a short, punchy, powerful reminder of an episode that you need to hear about building confidence for yourself.
We so often remind our kids that learning takes time, that it’s okay to make mistakes, that it’s normal to feel unsure before you feel strong… but we forget to extend the same grace to ourselves.
In this episode, you’ll learn:
- Why waiting until you “feel ready” can keep you stuck
- How doing the thing (even when it’s imperfect) leads to clarity and confidence
- A permission slip to try the thing, take the step, or just have a go
You don’t need a full plan. You just need the first step.

This episode is about the smallest habit that’s changed the way I talk to myself and why it matters more than you think.
Over the years I’ve seen how easy it is for mums to fall into a pattern of harsh inner talk… especially when everything feels hard and no one else can see what you’re carrying.
In this episode, you’ll learn:
- How your internal dialogue shapes how you feel each day
- The difference between being kind to your kids vs being kind to yourself
- How your brain starts to search for what you focus on
- The real reason you need a practice that celebrates your daily wins

In this episode, I share the one rule I’ve now committed to before making any major shift and how it’s helped me find clarity without burning everything down just to get relief.
Because when you’re juggling sick kids, work, life admin, and zero breathing space, it’s very easy to want to burn it all down and start fresh.
But here’s what I’ve learnt, over and over again:
Any decision made from burnout or depletion is never going to be your highest quality choice.
In this episode you’ll learn:
- What happens when every plate in your life is spinning at once
- The conversations that reminded me what I actually want
- My go to for checking my own capacity that you can easily use for yourself too
-The rule I now stick to before I make any big decision
If you’re feeling the pull to change something big in your life, this is a powerful place to pause before you act.

This episode is about giving ourselves permission to stop chasing outcomes all the time.
If your days feel rushed, your mind is noisy, and your calendar never has room for you, I want you to listen to this.
Because I’ve been challenging my own thoughts around what it means to be ‘productive’, and I’ve seen how much more capacity and calm shows up when I stop trying to earn my rest or justify my joy.
In this episode, you’ll learn:
- Why you can often resist doing things that don’t lead to a clear outcome
- What happens when you only see value in being busy
- How identity, perfectionism and worthiness sneak into the way you spend your time
- A simple question that can help you find you, without needing a reason.
- What unstructured, ‘non-productive’ time actually gives you
- How I’ve started shifting the way I talk about my days, and why that matters
If you’ve ever said “I’d love to… but I just don’t have time”, please listen to this one.

This episode is a quick one, but a good one.
It’s for those moments where you’re stuck in indecision. Feeling vague. Swirling around in your thoughts but not actually making any progress. I’ve been there. So many of my clients have too.
So today I’m sharing one question I use again and again with myself, and with the mums I work with, that helps shift the fog and get you back into action.
Here’s what you’ll learn:
- How to catch yourself when your brain is stuck in drama or indecision
- The power of asking *just one* clarifying question
- Why your brain might resist giving you an answer (and how to gently move past it)
- What to do when you don’t feel ready to make a decision but know you can’t stay where you are
Enjoy!

This episode is about communication and how creating a more intentional “communication landscape” can help you feel more heard, supported and connected in your relationships.
Have you ever had one of those moments where you’re trying to explain how you feel… and it’s like talking to a brick wall?
It’s frustrating. And exhausting. Especially when the mental load is already sky high and you’re craving just a little bit of support.
That’s exactly what I unpacked in this week’s podcast episode. Why communication can be so hard even with the people we love most, and how to make it feel lighter, calmer and more productive.
Here’s what you’ll learn:
- Why poor communication can amplify your mental load
- The two most common (and unhelpful) ways we tend to react when communication breaks down
- What a “communication landscape” is and how to build one
- A simple mindset shift to reduce resentment and feel more supported
- Real-life examples of what this work looks like in action
- A powerful question to ask to help any conversation land better
This episode will help you rethink the way you approach communication so it becomes a tool for connection rather than conflict.
