Happy winter solstice! This is probably one of my favorite days of the year, it's the shortest day of the year if you're in the northern hemisphere, and it's the longest night of the year. I love this day because there are so many beautiful moments of reflection. And as we're leaning into the new year, it's a great moment to pause and reflect. In this episode, I share some key insights and reflections as we look at dark moments and explore the light we want to call into our lives. I also share 3 journal prompts that may help you examine the themes of darkness and light. If you want to take a deeper dive into some reflections for 2023, download my free My Year In Review Workbook.

As we approach the new year, I want to share a different perspective on preparation, one that doesn't revolve solely around setting goals.
In this episode I share 5 things that I've been doing that have helped me to close out 2023 with more clarity and less stress, while also setting me up for success in 2024.
1. Declutter your physical space, including clothes, physical items, emails, apps on your phone, voicemails, text messages, and photos.
2. Throw away expired items in your medicine cabinet, pantry, fridge, skincare, and makeup.
3. Book dentist, doctor, therapy, and eye doctor appointments, as well as other necessary check-ups.
4. Make time for your relationships by prioritizing spending time with loved ones and deepening your relationship with yourself.
5. Lean into self-care by prioritizing hydration, rest, boundaries, and nourishing foods.
Also, the doors are open for my 10 week group coaching program - NOURISHED - which will be a great experience for you if you want more guidance, support, and accountability to the goals and desires that you seek for yourself in 2024 to be healthier, happier, and fulfilled. It's December 2023 and I want to shift our focus from the conventional hustle to finishing the year aligned with our values. Through this episode, I'll share my journey of navigating through times when I felt completely out of alignment, and the profound impact this had on my overall well-being.
We often chase goals and milestones, thinking that's what success looks like. But what if the real success lies in harmony with our values?
In this episode, I talk about the importance of recognizing when something doesn't feel right and how making conscious choices to prioritize alignment can drastically reduce stress, enhance our relationships, and lead to better decision-making.
One of the most moving moments of my life was at a retreat where I had the opportunity to identify my core values. This experience brought me to tears, as I realized these values were not something I'd previously given much importance to. Yet, they were the keys to unlocking a more authentic, fulfilling way of thinking, behaving, and being.
If you want to dive deeper into your values and how to live a more nourished life, join me for my NOURISHED 10-Week Group coaching program - click here.
Over the past five weeks, my commitment to practicing yoga at least five days a week has not only sculpted my body but has also profoundly reshaped my soul.
The physical benefits, including weight loss and increased strength, have been evident. However, it's the emotional and spiritual renewal that has left an indelible mark on my life. Navigating through a tumultuous period, yoga has become my sanctuary, teaching me to find solace in discomfort. Whether I am contorting into a challenging pose or confronting the ebbs and flows of life, this practice has transformed me into a more grounded, resilient individual, less swayed by external chaos.
As I delve deeper into self-awareness, I've come to a profound realization - I am not broken. I am in a continuous state of healing. Recognizing and acknowledging the areas that need mending has been liberating. The strength I've cultivated—mentally, emotionally, and spiritually—through yoga has given me the courage to sit with my most trying emotions without feeling inundated.
Opening up further, I share a recent discovery: my battle with high-functioning depression. A cloud that loomed over me for two years, making me feel detached from my essence. Yet, yoga has been that beacon, guiding me toward confronting my discomforts and seizing opportunities for growth and healing.
When faced with moments of unease, breathe through it. Trust in the process.
Burnout is more than just a product of a packed schedule; it's a manifestation of the beliefs we hold about ourselves. By addressing these beliefs and using tools like the EDA Model, we can navigate our way out of burnout, leading lives that are fulfilling, balanced, and aligned with our true selves. Remember, it's not about doing more; it's about doing what truly matters.

In the hustle and bustle of our fast-paced lives, it's all too common for women to find themselves continually neglecting their own needs and well-being, often at the expense of their physical and mental health. As a Wellness Coach, I am passionate about shedding light on the detrimental effects of neglecting oneself and providing actionable steps to break free from this cycle of self-sacrifice.

Are you choosing your vision and the life that you want or the goal that you want, or the experience that you desire? OR are you gonna choose to listen to the story that's telling you that you don't deserve it and that you can't have it, and that it's not available to you for whatever reason? You have a choice. If you wanna change, you have to change your story.
In this bonus episode, I share an IG Live replay that focuses on the importance of changing the stories that are holding you back.
Here are the key takeaways:
1. Identifying Stagnation Patterns: The three common ways people become stuck in life – self-neglect, self-sacrifice, and self-sabotage. Recognizing these patterns is crucial for breaking free and pursuing our true desires.
2. Power of Stories and Beliefs: Our personal stories and beliefs shape our behavior and success. Sharing their own experience, they highlight the transformative impact of rewriting a story to align with ease and flow, fostering greater fulfillment and impact.
3. Mindset's Role in Action: A shift in mindset is portrayed as a catalyst for action and goal achievement. By challenging negative beliefs, upgrading stories, and embracing a positive perspective, listeners are empowered to take charge of their narratives and pursue personal growth and success.
If you want more support with rewriting your story, check out a free preview of my latest audio coaching course - Unlock Your Nourished Life. In this episode, I want to talk to you about something we all struggle with - self-love and self-care. It can be tough, even when we know what we should be doing. But here's the thing: it's crucial that we give ourselves permission to accept where we are in our journey. We need to get curious about why we feel the way we do. The practice of self-love, compassion, and care starts with actively tending to our needs.
We must check in with ourselves, listen to what we truly need, and then have the courage to act on it, even if it feels uncomfortable or goes against popular opinion. It's about having our own backs and showing up for ourselves every single day. Remember, you deserve love and care, so don't hesitate to give yourself what you need.
Here are 3 practices that you can start to incorporate into your day to lean into feeling and embodying more self care, love, and compassion:
Set intentions every morning and align behaviors throughout the day accordingly.
Engage in mirror work, focusing on self-love and speaking words of affirmation.
Engage in activities that bring feelings of love, support, vitality, fulfillment, and happiness without fixating on specific goals or milestones.
Give these practices a try and feel free to connect with me for further exploration of your own self-care and compassion needs.

In today's episode, I delve into a topic that's close to the hearts of many successful women out there - self-care. As high achievers, we often struggle to prioritize our own well-being amidst our demanding roles, responsibilities, and relationships. But here's the key: self-care is not a time management issue; it's a priority management one. In this episode, I guide you through the art of incorporating self-care into your busy schedule by creating micro-moments throughout the day.
Here are the key takeaways:
Micro-moments of self-care can help us experience the benefits of self-care even when we're busy.
Savoring the first three sips of a morning beverage is a simple micro-moment of self-care that can help us slow down and connect with our senses.
Taking three deep breaths before getting out of the shower is another easy micro-moment of self-care.
Putting the fork down between bites of food can help us appreciate our food more and support our digestive process.
The goal of self-care isn't to add more stress but to create practices that are beneficial for us.
Micro moments of self-care can be simple and accessible, and they can add up over time.

Do you intentionally put yourself on your To Do List? If not, chances are that you are neglecting your needs. I've seen many women struggle with making time for themselves because they fail to create the necessary conditions for it to happen.
That's why I suggest intentionally creating space in your day, every day, to tend to your own needs. By consistently dedicating time to yourself, you build a sense of safety around asking yourself what you need and then proactively tending to those needs, rather than waiting until you're burnt out or sick to react.

Recently, I was on a call with a group of women to plan an upcoming retreat that we will be co-hosting in St. Lucia in October. We got on the topic of Self Care and one woman brought up the need for "Soul Care" and my ears perked up!
What hit me was that Soul Care is really about nourishing our nervous system in order to create the conditions to be more grounded and have more balance, ease, and peace in our lives.
There is nothing wrong with traditional self-care practices, but in this episode, I encourage you to also include more Soul Care into your daily routine and I provide a few examples.

Mental Health Awareness Month is a great time to focus on self-care practices, however, I recognize that many women face real challenges in accessing the resources and support needed to prioritize their mental health. For some, it is having unrealistic expectations at work, while others have a lack of support from loved ones in their personal lives and some do not have the financial security to take time off from work to honor their mental health.
In this episode, I share some examples from my own experience and from women that I’ve worked with to highlight the challenges and offer some solutions that may be available to women who are struggling with prioritizing their self-care needs when they don’t have the support they need from loved ones and at work.
Here are the key takeaways:
In our personal lives, it can be challenging to prioritize self-care due to a lack of support from loved ones when it comes to helping with household chores, and tasks, and taking care of others.
In our professional lives, it can be challenging to prioritize self-care due to unrealistic expectations, inflexible schedules, and a lack of mental health resources available.
Setting boundaries and having uncomfortable conversations may need to happen in order to protect your peace and create space for you to tend to your mental health.
Expectations from others and policies at work should be considerate of the current state of stress, overwhelm, and burnout that many women are faced with and offer more support, grace, flexibility, and resources.
If you are in the position to help a woman who needs support - pick up her kids after school so she can go to therapy without stressing out or talking to HR to offer mental health resources or even pay to have someone clean your friend’s home or deliver some groceries - it could make a big difference.

May is Mental Health Awareness Month and this episode is more like a candid conversation about to reduce the stigma around mental illness. I’ve had my own journey with my mental health and it has been paved with a lot of courage, vulnerability and acceptance. Not only do I share key statistics, but I also share a bit of my story, along with some ways that we can all collectively break the stigma around mental illness. Ultimately, reducing the stigma around mental illness is a collective effort from individuals, communities, and the world at large.
Here are the key takeaways:
Mental health is just as important as physical health.
The stigma around mental health and mental illness needs to be addressed before strategies can be discussed.
One in four people in the world will be affected by mental or neurological disorders at some point in their lives.
48% of respondents in the United States feel embarrassed to admit they need help with their mental health.
It's important to encourage open conversations, educate oneself and others, use inclusive language, support mental health initiatives, and seek help and support.
Reducing the stigma around mental health requires a collective effort from individuals, communities, and the world at large.
Here are 5 ways that you can help break the stigma around mental illness:

This one is for busy professional women who pour so much into their careers and into other people, but neglect to pour back into themselves.
Studies show that neglecting self-care can lead to challenges in one's physical health, mental health, relationships, mood, productivity, satisfaction in life, and success. Many women report not having enough time for self-care or feeling guilty when they do take time off.
Here are the main points of this episode:
Action items:
EDA Framework - What tasks can I Eliminate, Delegate, or Automate?
Eliminate:
Excessive social media browsing: Limit the amount of time spent scrolling through social media feeds or consider taking a break from social media altogether.
Multitasking: Focus on one task at a time instead of trying to do several things simultaneously, which can lead to inefficiency and stress.
Non-essential meetings: Decline invitations to meetings that are not necessary or not directly related to your work responsibilities.
Unnecessary email: Reduce the time spent on email by unsubscribing from newsletters and marketing emails that are not useful or relevant.
Unproductive commuting: Use commuting time effectively by listening to audiobooks, podcasts or taking advantage of public transportation to read or plan your day.
Delegate:
Administrative work: Hire an administrative assistant or outsource administrative tasks such as data entry, scheduling, and email management.
Housework: Hire a housekeeper or cleaning service to handle household chores such as cleaning, laundry, and grocery shopping.
Childcare: Hire a nanny, babysitter, or enroll children in childcare to take care of childcare responsibilities while you focus on work or self-care.
Errands: Hire a personal assistant or use on-demand services such as TaskRabbit to delegate errands such as picking up dry cleaning, grocery shopping, or running other errands.

Making time in your day to put joy first can be a game-changer! I've had many conversations with people who prioritize work and responsibilities over their own joy and happiness and this can lead to burnout and stress.

In this episode, I share why and how I started to prioritize joy in my life, plus I share some tips to help you make a case for creating more space in your life for joy.
If you are struggling to prioritize joy in your life, ask yourself these 3 questions to get some clarity on how to incorporate more joy into your life:

Last weekend, I had a meltdown because I realized she was neglecting my relationship with myself. I went on a drive to the beach and sat on a log watching the ocean and birds while reflecting on how important it is to pour into ourselves every day. While it may seem like we don't have the time or we convince ourselves that we will find time later, the truth of the matter is...if we don't make the time, we are sabotaging ourselves.
The best way to prioritize your relationship with yourself is to schedule solo time in your calendar as you would any other appointment or meeting because what we prioritize we make an effort to do.
Here are three steps to start nourishing your relationship with yourself:
Let me know how it goes and how you lean into your relationship!
When we tend to prioritize everything else before our own physical and mental health, we put ourselves on the fast track to burnout and other health issues.
In this episode, I share three things that sabotage our wellbeing.
