In today's episode we talk with Ali Ellis from The Toddler Kitchen. If you have young children or are planning a family - this one is for you. Ali shows us that even though food and kids can often be tricky and sometimes frustrating - it also gets to be fun and rewarding. She walks us through how we can set our children (and us) up for success. We talk about starting the food journey with kids, picky eaters, bedtime snacks (are they really necessary or are they a stall tactic), nurturing our children's self awareness and getting them involved in everything from meal planning, shopping and preparing so that it doesn't feel like a daily struggle.
Ali is a registered dietitian and founder of The Toddler Kitchen - where she's on a mission to help make feeding kids a little easier, a little less stressful, and a lot more fun. Ali has been working with families and health for over 15 years, first on the health promotion research side, and now as a dietitian to support their nutrition. She loves supporting parents to find simple strategies that support their children to be curious and confident eaters, and to grow up with a positive relationship with food. When Ali isn't in the kitchen creating nourishing kid-friendly recipes or supporting parents with her various workshops and programs, you can find Ali out running around with her two little girls, out on the golf course, or exploring beautiful Vancouver Island.

Ah... the good ol' Shoulds. I should have known better. I should have done things differently. I should have... I should have...
Do you ever find yourself caught up in shame because you 'should have' known better or done things differently?
We are all human. Sometimes, even when we are tuned in and dialed in, we may not have the answer. It's ok to release the expectations that we put on ourselves, reach out to ask for support and then be open to receiving it.
This week Kristin gives a personal example from her health and wellness journey that has served as a reminder that we all need support sometimes :)
Let's Chat with Ellie from The Pleasure Portal
Join Kristin and Ellie as they discuss pleasure, desire, sensuality and so much more. Desire and pleasure go far beyond the bedroom and into many faucets of life. If you find yourself wanting to like mornings but they just feel SO. Dang. HARD. then this episode is for you.
Kristin wasn't always a morning person. Developing the habit and the desire for early mornings took time, practice and a lot of trial and error. In today's episode we discuss some of the key ingredients of a successful morning.
Real talk. Motherhood. Losing yourself and then rediscovering yourself. Finding what lights you up throughout all of life's joys, hardships, in betweens and everything else. Connection: with yourself and with others. Claiming what you truly want to get out of this life and then having the courage to pursue it.
Today's episode touches on so many aspects of life that we can all relate with. It's an unfiltered conversation between long time friends that goes well beyond surface level. Get comfy and enjoy!

This week we explore the importance of creating experiences for our children to explore independence, develop important life skills and grow their confidence. It starts with giving them opportunities to test, learn and grow from a young age with simple tasks which ultimately builds a strong foundation and toolset for how to navigate more complex situations as they go through life.
Sometimes we, as parents, are quick to want to step in and help out because we can do it faster and better. Today we talk about the magic that unfolds if we are able to take a step back, be quiet and take the role as the observer (there to help if needed/asked) as we give our children the opportunity to learn firsthand.

Pour your favorite beverage, press play and before the episode is over you will be adding Smart Sip to your next grocery list! This week Kristin and Ashlyn talk about Smart Sip, as well as bond over growing up in Saskatchewan and how to live your healthiest life (and how that changes as you grow and evolve).
Meet Ashlyn:
My name is Ashlyn Newlove and I am the creator and founder of Smart Sip Cream Co. I was born and raised in a small town in Saskatchewan and recently moved from the Cowichan Valley to Royal Bay in Colwood. As a nutrition coach who has helped more than 700 people reach their weight loss goals, and lost 35 pounds myself, there is nothing worse than giving up your favorite food and drinks just to try and lose weight. As a nutrition coach I saw a gap in the food & beverage industry as more than 90% of people aren't getting enough fibre, which plays a huge role in reaching their health goals. Sugary drinks that people consume leave them sluggish, struggling with their energy levels and elevating their hunger. I wanted to create a product that still gave them that delicious drink without all of the nasty side-effects. Many people don’t realize that when you have a diet rich in fiber you not only support your digestive health but you also regulate your blood sugar levels, lower cholesterol, reduce the risk of chronic disease and keep you feeling full and satisfied longer to aid in weight maintenance. For 13 months I worked with a recipe scientist to perfect a coconut oil based powdered creamer with chicory root fiber in it and launched it at the beginning of April. In the last 2 months I've started a creamer revolution and sold more than 1500 bags with plans to audition for Dragon's Den in the spring.Connect with Ashlyn:

Our life is always on a trajectory. Every decision we make is either leading us to a trajectory of health, abundance and all the goodness, or it leads us toward a life that we end up wondering how we got there.
You have more control than you realize over your life. Your health, wellness, joy, thoughts and beliefs.
Today is an invitation to take a look at how you can be more conscious of your daily decisions that lead you to where you are ultimately headed.
When you find yourself alone, do you savor the solitude or do you automatically reach for a distraction, either because you are uncomfortable being alone or you simply don't realize just how much you rely on distraction?
Solitude doesn't need to equal loneliness. It can actually be beneficial and delicious. The invitation this week is to take some time in solitude without distraction.
This week we speak with Sarah Peters (Lambert) about therapy and how we can use it as a tool as a proactive approach to living a healthy and happy life. If you find yourself curious about therapy but feel like you need to wait until 'something is wrong' to go to therapy then this is your invitation to take a listen and explore therapy as a positive outlet in your life.
Sarah Lambert is a dedicated therapist and business coach who helps women break free from perfectionism, people-pleasing, and trying to be everything to everyone. Growing up in an environment where love felt tied to achievement, Sarah struggled with self-worth, anxious attachment, and the need to always be achieving. Through her own journey of deep self-exploration and values-based growth, she discovered the freedom of embracing her authentic self, which she has evolved into aligned leadership. Today, Sarah leads a thriving group practice that offers talk therapy, somatic therapy, and art therapy, as well as coaching and community workshops. She is passionate aboutempowering women to reconnect with their emotions, reclaim their power, and create lives that are aligned with their true values.

Can you name your top three personal values?
This week Kristin talks about the importance of being able to recognize your top personal values and then reflect on your to do/priority list. Does your daily life contribute to your personal values or is there a disconnect?
Feeling truly fulfilled each day becomes much easier when we recognize what fuels us and then incorporating that into our every day life. It all starts with getting curious with ourself.
