In this section, we will learn a little bit of biology to understand how this breathwork, or pranayama works. In this section, we will learn the impact of the external environment, internal environment and our karma on our prana, and thus the DNA of our cells. This will finally decide on how our body would respond to an unexpected intruder like the coronavirus or any other in the future.
Pranayama helps you disengage with our cycle of karma to be able to take a plunge into a new dimension. It is like a tangent drawn to the circle. It helps you take on a new path. It refreshes your body. It cleanses it at various levels.

In this lesson, we will discuss some practical steps for establishing a regular practice.
This video talks about solutions regarding:
• Where to meditate
• When to meditate
• Should we meditate after eating or before eating
• How long should your meditations session last?
• What are all points to consider before sitting for meditation
• How should be the space in which we meditate and others.
The first step you can take is to set a fixed time and place.
Setting a time and place would eliminate the thinking process from the equation. Do you agree?
It means that you don’t have to plan every day about what time you will meditate… where you will do it.
That can be strenuous and would put unnecessary pressure on you.
Having a specific place to meditate is good because you will also associate that place with meditation. Just like you associate your bed with sleeping, it is a very bad idea to try to meditate in your bed. You are most likely to fall asleep.
For the same reason of association, ideally you should have a set time to meditate. That way, you don’t have to decide when to meditate, and you are less likely to procrastinate.
Mediation is like a slow race. The slower you are better the chances that you win. But you have to keep moving. Even if you halt, it’s a foul. You can’t run, and you can't stop.

The most effective way to overcome both procrastination and reluctance to practicing is to just do it. While it may seem obvious, nothing works as quickly or effectively as diligence. The simple act of consistently sitting down and meditating is the essential first step from which everything else flows. Then, once seated, you must train yourself, gently and without self-judgement, to actually meditate rather than engage in some more entertaining mental activity. But remember that all this must come from a place of motivation and not force. Force, guilt, and willpower don’t create a sustainable practice because they stir up negative emotions. In this session, we discuss the challenges new meditators are likely to face when they start out on their meditation journey. He explains the key points one must keep in mind to be aptly prepared for meditating. So, preparedness is the key. Now we all have reasons why we choose to meditate.
