At 46 years old, Leanne shares how through the Food Freedom Approach, she's been able to learn to love herself in the most genuine way - no measurements attached.

Welcome back to the show!! We've had a bit of a hiatus but I'm so excited to be behind the mic again with a very real, raw, and vulnerable episode.
I recently had the incredible opportunity to attend, and present at, Inspire and Awaken - a 2 day wellness summit that was themed "Embracing Authenticity".
This event has impacted me in SO many ways - some of which I share in today's episode. But it has also inspired me to be seen.
In the episode, we chat about:

This one is really juicy (and really real) so buckle up! Also, TW for those who may be really struggling with food as I do share some intimate parts of my ED journey.

Can you relate:
You're constantly thinking about what you're going to eat, how much, at what time, whether or not it's the "right" thing, too much, how it's going to impact your weight.
You're always doing math in your head about how many calories, carbs, protein, etc. is in your food.
You feel bad if you eat "junk food" and immediately go to work planning how you'll get back "on track"
The list of food noise experiences goes on. But these are a few of the most common.
Food noise is no stranger in my life, and it's taken me time and lots of intention to quiet it, but I want you to know that it is possible to not have food run the show.

Jaime Morgan joins me today to share about a new layer of healing untouched on the LYN podcast - healing from the loss of interpersonal romantic relationships.
Jaime and I met at a networking event where we connected over our histories of struggling with food. I was so curious to hear more about her line of work, and how certain challenges (particularly control) manifest in both romantic relationships and relationships with food.
We chat about:
So often we think of our relationships with others as independent from our relationships with ourselves, but the healing goes hand-in-hand and looks very similar so for those of you on any healing journey - body image, food, self-love, divorce, etc. - this episode will feel like such a warm hug!

Leslie came to me in September when she was feeling rock bottomed in her dieting pursuits, but still having a desire to lose 70 lbs. Today, Leslie is a COMPLETELY different woman. Listen to find out how!
Leslie will also be a member of group coaching starting this February! To join the February cohort and start your food freedom transformation, you can apply here! Stay tuned for updates from her next 12 weeks.

Merry Christmas!! I hope you all had the most magical holiday season. I know this time of year tends to be tricky for many, as it is filled with challenging family dynamics, glutinous food and often feelings of guilt for over indulging.
I want to remind you that food is more than just fuel. Food is emotion, and memories, and enjoyment. It is okay if you allowed it to serve that purpose for you.
As we approach 2024, I would invite you to reflect on your relationship with food, and how long you may have been trying to figure it out on your own. One of the most beautiful gifts you could give yourself this season is the gift of healing.
The next cohort for my group coaching program - Food Freedom Collective - is coming January 2024!
This program was designed to teach you healthy nutrition habits, help you transform your food mindset, heal your relationship with food, and improve your body image.
In the 12 weeks, you will learn how to eat without food rules, guilt, obsession, or fear of losing control.
The doors to the public will be opening soon, and spots will fill fast! Join the waitlist now to get priority enrollment!
I have loads of questions all the time about how to improve body image, self-esteem, confidence...all the things body! There is no denying that the holiday season tends to be a major trigger for this.
Living with an eating disorder and disordered eating for over a decade made it incredibly difficult to overcome the feelings of resentment I felt towards my body when it would change. It also made it difficult to not feel like a failure if I wasn't "seeing progress".
If you resonate with any of this, you will want to tune in!

This episode is brought to you by the feelings of frustration that accompany weight cycling, no being able to look at oreos without gaining weight, and failure that is associated with struggling to see results or keep results when you're following a plan.
I want you to know that whatever discipline or willpower you think you're lacking, is actually just diet culture trying to steer you farther away from your set point - which is where we can live at peace with food and allow our body to keep our weight stable, without having to jump in and control.
In today's episode, we chat about
If you allow it, this information will be incredibly liberating for your food freedom journey!
