In this episode, I’m joined by Bec from @becsaidhealth, a gut health coach whose own journey through chronic bloating, hormonal issues, and even mould exposure led her into the world of functional gut health.
We unpack common gut conditions like SIBO, leaky gut, and parasites, how to approach testing (and when not to), and how most people skip the most important part - the foundations.
This conversation is part of my new course with Fitness Education Online - Gut Health 101 for Fitness Professionals, but it’s full of practical takeaways that anyone dealing with gut symptoms will benefit from.

In this episode, I’m joined by, fellow Naki gal, Emma Stirling who has been bravely sharing her journey with severe burnout, chronic fatigue syndrome, and leaky gut.
We chat about what chronic fatigue really feels like (it’s so much more than being “tired”), the early warning signs she brushed off, and how gut health played a huge role in her crash and recovery. Emma also shares what it’s been like to surrender into rest, set boundaries, and completely redefine what health and success mean to her.
You’ll hear us dive into:
The difference between burnout, adrenal fatigue, and chronic fatigue syndrome
Red flags that tell you it’s time to slow down
Why gut health is so tied to energy, hormones, and overall wellbeing
The healing tools Emma leans on now - from broths and journaling to meditation and creative rest
A refreshing reminder that rest isn’t a luxury, it’s a biological need

Gut health, healthy fats, brain chemistry & chronic stress.
In this solo episode, we’re continuing the conversation I wish we had growing up — the one that connects the dots between nutrition, hormones, mental health, and body composition.
This is Part 2 of “What we should’ve learnt in health ed,” and today we’re diving into four overlooked (but essential) topics that deeply impact women’s health — and yet, most of us were never taught.
Because the truth is, your mood, metabolism, and energy are not just about willpower or discipline. They’re deeply connected to your gut, your brain, your hormone health — and how safe your body feels.
In this episode, I cover:
How gut health impacts your hormones, mood, and mental clarity
The gut-brain axis explained (and what it has to do with serotonin & estrogen)
Why your brain chemistry literally changes across your cycle
The underrated role of healthy fats in hormone production (and what happens when you don’t get enough)
How chronic stress disrupts metabolism, sleep, recovery & body composition — especially belly fat
Practical ways to support your nervous system, digestion & hormone balance
Key takeaway: Your body is not working against you — it’s trying to protect you. When you learn how to support it instead of stress it out, everything shifts.

Cycle health, PMS, birth control & the truth about ovulation.
In this solo episode, I’m diving into the conversation I wish we had in school — the real education we never got about our bodies, hormones, and cycle health.
There’s so much we’re only just learning about how our body works as women — and it’s not our fault. With so little research historically done on women’s health, many of us were handed birth control at 14 without any real explanation, told PMS is normal, and taught that our period is the “main event.” But here’s the thing: it’s not.
And it’s time we reclaimed this knowledge.
This is the first of a two-part series unpacking “What we should’ve learnt in health ed.” In Part 1, I cover:
Key takeaway: Your cycle is a vital sign. Your symptoms are not random. And your body is capable of feeling so much more balanced, supported, and understood — when you start tuning in instead of pushing through.
Looking for guided support to improve your health and wellbeing? Join my membership, The Elevated Health Method — where we dive deep into food, training, and mindset that actually supports your cycle.
