I had to get ill to get me rested.
I’ve had to get ill to get me rested. DATE: Tuesday, October 12th 2021 I feel ill. This has wiped me out completely today from everything. My body hasn’t been fully rested for a long time. Question: Are you resting, recovering and rejuvenating or burning the candle at both ends? What action are you taking today to rejuvenate yourself? Lesson: I made the commitment to myself that a monthly massage is a necessity and also working on increasing my sleep. I knew that I had gone too long without this level of self care. There had also been an opportunity to catch up on my sleep this week and I felt amazing for it. I’m also taking a week off with my family. I was called the skinny kid, it knocked my confidence.
At school I was often referred to as a skinny kid. What many people didn’t realise is that this knocked the hell out of my confidence. It did also give me the drive to look after my fitness and build myself. I have a history of asthma and epilepsy and had been advised by my doctor to jump into a regular exercise regime of some kind as a teenager. Time has passed now and I have built on that trigger from years ago. In fact recently a lingerie shop in my local area that also stocks men’s boxers asked me to model for them. My wife fully encouraged me to do this. It’s all about body confidence. Question: What experiences have you had that have made you the person you are today? #28 “Pepperoni Pizza Meltdown! Stop asking me questions all the time!”
My son chose to have a meltdown over pepperoni pizza as it had “green bits” on it, also known as peppers... ...there was the usual child rant of crocodile tears, sitting on the floor and just generally been whiney and all logic goes out the window. Added to that was him saying: Stop asking me questions all the time.” Eventually after he calmed down, we had a cuddle and began to reason. I continued asking him questions mainly about his hungry tummy. After realising he must come downstairs in order to take away the hunger valley Happy was happy valley once more. Question: 1.
