Dear Friend!
If you're reading this, from the bottom of my heart Thank you! You have helped me achieve a goal I set for myself which was to record 52 podcasts in 52 weeks. Your support has helped me record late into the night, even after a 12-hour workday, gym and meal prep I kept the promise to myself (and to you) that I would do as I say and regularly produce quality content week in week out.
So tonight, as write up my description for the last time potentially on Squeezing The Plums I wanted to show what I have in store for the year ahead.
Developing my personal brand has been a big focus of mine in the weeks gone by, realising how important it is if I wish to grow a business or another podcast in the future.
And so, with that in mind, I share a high-level overview of what I intend to implement as key fundamentals when going for the target of trying to grow a personal brand in 2025 as well as what topics am I going to lean into and leverage.
So, sit back, tune in and hear me out as I look forward to sharing what I will do next. And like a great saying I once heard"If you can see it, and have the courage to speak it, it will happen."
Many dream of turning their passion into a profitable business, but few truly understand how to make it happen. How do you transform creativity into a career? How do content creators and social media personalities actually make money?
Expect to learn why authenticity is key to monetisation, how to build trust with your audience before selling anything, the biggest mistakes creators make when launching merch, why brand deals aren't as lucrative as people assume, and how a strong mailing list can be a game-changer.
But most importantly we get a real insight into how Ross navigated the dark side of being a creator, dealing with negativity in the social media space and the importance of staying true to your voice.
I sat down with Ricky Flow to explore his journey from corporate beginnings to spiritual entrepreneurship. What begins as a reflection on following his brother’s footsteps into accounting at KPMG evolves into a deeper exploration of how a Tony Robbins event at 19 inspired him to quit his job and pursue a more meaningful path.
Discover how witnessing a colleague’s eBay success planted the seed for entrepreneurship, why balancing security with passion is key during major life transitions, and how Ricky reconciled his practical upbringing in a Catholic, private school environment with his aspirational, creative side.
This conversation reveals the man behind the entrepreneur—someone who has sold multiple businesses, embarked on a three-year spiritual journey, and now integrates business acumen with spiritual wisdom through writing, speaking, and singing. It’s a thought-provoking discussion about personal growth, decision-making, and how to pursue dreams without losing your foundation.
I sit down with Alex, the artist behind Kundalini Project, to explore the connection between ancestral heritage and artistic expression. What starts as a casual meeting in South Melbourne turns into a deep discussion on how personal trauma can heal through music.
Learn how a CD from a Kellogg’s cereal box sparked a 20-year journey in electronic music, why understanding ancestral roots is key to authentic creativity, how music became a therapeutic outlet after losing a parent to suicide, and why sober dance experiences are more transformative than traditional clubbing.
This conversation reveals the person behind the artist who blends South American, Middle Eastern, and Indian traditional music with contemporary electronic sounds, showing how personal challenges can fuel creative abundance and help us better understand who we are.
Its been exactly 2 years to the day since my last cluster headache. On the 28th of December 2022 I experienced the worst pain possible on a 40 degree day in Sorrento.
I was there for a friends birthday and started to get nervous that fatigue from the end of the work year, alcohol and heat would be a recipe for disaster. And sure enough it was.
However the scariest thing about cluster headaches, was once you suffered one, the risk of experiencing a wave of clusters over the coming days and months (hence the term cluster headache) significantly increased. I very nearly have never just suffered one in isolation.
Yet 2 years later and I have had no repeat thankgod. So what did i do and what was the internal dialogue?
I go through what i mean by the phrase surrender, but don't give up. It's something that for me has allowed me to get through all stressful events full and well knowing there are always bright moments ahead if i choose to look after myself.
After every year i do this one activity. I call it charting the wheel of life. The 7 key areas of my life and the lives of many are discussed in this episode and what you can do to figure out how your time and energy has been spent.
I have always found this exercise is enlightening for me. Having a framework to literally pick apart my life has allowed me to reduce the stress i have on certain areas of my life and manage my own expectations.
In saying that, it also shows where i'm wasting my energy and what parts of my life i'm dominating in.
Enjoy Episode 47, it's one that if you do it well, can literally change your life forever.
Almost 2 years ago I was addicted to coffee! I needed it for work, life and the prevention of my diagnosed cluster headaches. I effectively treated it as a tasty medicine that I felt was a necessity for function and performance.
But when does it become too much? Well 5 long blacks a day including a quick visit to 7/11 on the way to the gym. An espresso at the gym. A double shot long black before work and of course a coffee for any meetings or lunches scheduled in were all ways in which i rationalised consuming coffee.
SO HOW DID I STOP IT?
Well besides a bit of old fashioned stubbornness and grit i used the science behind habit making to give me a hand. I learnt that willpower and discipline can only take you so far until you add in stress and a poor routine around your habits.
And once i figured that out, i became unbeatable.
Tune in today to learn about what the key 4 things you need to do to make your NY resolution stick.
Trauma Dumping is a common phrase used when someone decides to overshare intimate details of their trauma or stress on to you!
It happens especially during this time of the year as the polarity of joy and misery heightens during the Christmas period.
And so how do you prevent someone draining you of your energy? What is the tool you can use to put the handbrake on a sad story that has nothing to do with you?
And finally if you're the person who trauma dumps what is the biggest risk of you doing so and how do you over come it?
These are all the things we go through. SO TUNE IN for Episode 45 of Squeezing the Plums.

Today has been crazy to say the least!
After Donald Trump's landslide win for the republican party, we've seen every potential emotion come out.
From people thinking the world is now going to be ruined by a fascist to people celebrating that finally we have someone with the capabilities to end wars, reduce the impact of big pharmaceutical companies and protect freedom of speech.
Every person has an opinion.
BUT...just like Covid-19. People with an opinion that was outside the norm of the society they lived in were criticised, ostracised and condemned for their points of view.
Today I take you through what my beliefs are around the way we should navigate the news of Donald Trump's election win and how we should be willing to hear both sides of people's opinions in order to serve ourselves better and remove ourselves from echo chambers of the same happy or sad set of stories.
Have you ever had an idea or concept that you wanted to turn into your own creation?
