As we approach the close of the year and get ready for a new cycle, I thought it would be only fitting to talk about taking leaps of faith and beginning anew particularly in the professional realm. We ain’t just about spirituality here ya know.
Today, I have the pleasure of interviewing Jessica Yue, founder of Polaris Media. Jess is a serial entrepreneur, a key opinion leader and influencer with a strong following on Chinese social media apps such as WeChat, Little Red Book and also more western-skewed app, Instagram. She has a very successful media agency that specializes in Chinese media platforms.
In the episode, we talk all about entrepreneurship and starting a business. She gives great business advice in terms of practical more business-focused actions to take and of course, it is also about shifting your mindset.
This is a great episode to listen to if you are interested in starting your own business in the future, dabbling in a side hustle or even starting a new chapter in life.

Today, I have the pleasure of speaking with Rachel Gordon. Rachel is an actor and a psychotherapist. Her practice is called Freedom Psychotherapy with a specialty in addiction, anxiety, substance dependence, relationships, grief and loss. Her mission is to walk beside her clients in a heart centered, trauma informed, holistic way while helping them to rediscover their authentic self, find purpose and have meaningful, fulfilling relationships.
Rachel and I discuss sobriety. Rachel has been sober for 25 years and she came into my life at a time when I was considering quitting drinking but I didn’t know how or if I even could honestly since drinking is so ingrained in my life between work and social activities. And when I spoke to Rachel about it, in a way only Australians can do so beautifully, she encouraged me to give it a go and if I don’t like being sober, then just drink again and it wouldn’t matter.
So I’m sober now 6 months later (which might be a surprise to those who know me). Maybe I’ll drink again, maybe I won’t, but there is a freedom in knowing that I don’t need alcohol in my life.
This conversation is for anyone interested in sobriety, whether there is problem drinking involved or not, or even if you know someone who has gone alcohol-free or is struggling with addiction. The episode may support a shift in perspective, which is what this podcast is all about.
Inside the episode:
3:30: Introduction
6:53:Can you share a bit about your story with alcohol
12:55: Does it feel like we are missing out by not drinking?
21:38: A question Rachel asks people to assess whether or not they have a problem with alcohol
28:04: The experience of terminal uniqueness
34:26: What is addiction from a psychological point of view
35:05: How sobriety really makes you radically honest
40:00: What if someone thinks going alcohol-free will impact their closest relationships?

Today’s episode is with Charlotte and Mark from Spirit Spill the Tea podcast. This conversation is a glimpse inside their new podcast that I know you will all love. In this episode, we speak about a trip we took to India to see Sri Sakthi Amma, known as Amma, who is an esteemed spiritual leader in India. This experience in India was probably the most spiritual experience I have ever even heard of, and you know me, I’ve heard of a lot. We talk about the energy of India and Amma, we talk about surrendering, shifts that happen in life during an experience like this and integration. This whole conversation although we speak about India, it really can be applied to the lessons in life and in the every day. I hope you enjoy the episode as much as I did.

It is a real pleasure to have an episode talking about pleasure and pelvic bowl health. Today’s conversation is with Miranda Cheng, Holistic Pelvic Care practitioner and Founder of We the Femme. We talk about the importance of caring for your pelvic floor and new, maybe less traditional ways to do so. What Miranda is doing is really game-changing in the pelvic care industry. I am predicting this type of holistic health care is something that is going to blow up, especially for those pre and postnatal or vulva owners who are experiencing any challenges when it comes to anything that has to do with our cycles, uterus, all the things, which I guess we all experience.
In the episode, we talk about what a session with her is like, which can or cannot include an intravaginal massage which is exactly what it sounds like, she gives some tips for you at home for you to show a little bit more love to your pelvis. She even ends with a Pelvic bowl meditation. This is a pretty eye opening conversation.

6:41: How did she even get into a field of holistic pelvic care
13:45: What is holistic pelvic care?

The topic of today’s episode is losing in order to gain. This is a more advanced spiritual and manifestation discussion. We talk about what manifesting actually looks like. There has to be loss in order to make space in your life for the things you want to manifest. In the manifestation world, you tend to not hear about the difficulties you may experience when parts of your life fall away for you to get to the next level. We tend to not speak about the grieving of your old life when you are welcoming the new. And this is exactly what we talk about today.

On today’s show, I have Tricia Spitz who is launching her own podcast because she is passionate about the fact that anyone can transform their lives. She knows it because she’s done it. Tricia has had a previous life where she was in a domestically abusive relationship, which she left and reinvented her life some time ago. She is a strong believer that if she can come out of that and entirely transform her life into the happy life she has today, that anyone can do it. It’s about taking the leap of faith. We talk about all ways of reinvention, internally or externally, small or large, when you have to do it vs when you want to do it. Enjoy the episode.
