Episode 4: Powerful combo for Perimenopause: Ayurveda & Yoga

In this episode, we explore the sister science of yoga — Ayurveda — and how it helps you understand your body’s changing rhythms through perimenopause.

So I want you to dedicate this episode to a sister or a friend who is like a sister! We all have one! :)

If yoga brings harmony to your body, mind, and breath in the moment, Ayurveda offers a roadmap to understanding your body over a lifetime. Together, they form a powerful partnership — especially during hormonal transitions.

We’ll cover:

  • 🌸 The connection between Yoga and Ayurveda

  • 🔥 The Five Elements (Panchamahabhuta) and how they shape you

  • 💫 The Three Doshas — Vata, Pitta, and Kapha — and how they influence your energy, mood, and symptoms

  • 🕊 How perimenopausal symptoms like hot flashes, fatigue, or brain fog are signs of dosha imbalances, not random chaos

  • 🌺 Why “one-size-fits-all” wellness doesn’t work — and how to listen to your body’s signals

By the end of this episode, you’ll begin to see your symptoms not as problems to fix, but as messages from your body guiding you back to balance.

Check out these prompts, to see if you can associate yourself to a particular set of symptoms.

Dosha Reflective Questions – Lifestyle & Symptom Awareness

1. Vata (Air + Space) – often linked to irregularity, dryness, anxiety

Do you notice joint/muscle stiffness?

Are you feeling anxious, restless, or having trouble sleeping especially 3:00am?

Do you feel scattered or fatigued throughout the day?

2. Pitta (Fire + Water) – often linked to heat, intensity, irritability

Do you experience extreme hot flashes, night sweats, or skin sensitivity?

Irritable, impatient, or overly critical of yourself or others?

Do start to wake up late at night around 10 when it's time to go to bed?

3. Kapha (Earth + Water) – often linked to heaviness, sluggishness, fluid retention

Do you notice weight gain, fluid retention, or slow digestion?

Are you feeling lethargic, resistant to change, or emotionally heavy?

Do your sleep patterns feel — too long, too heavy, or difficult to wake up?

These questions are practical and lifestyle-oriented, encouraging listeners to notice patterns rather than try to “diagnose” themselves.

Episode 3: Hidden Perimenopause symptoms

If you’re ready to step out of survival mode, take charge of your symptoms, and learn a truly powerful way to start feeling like yourself again — this episode is for you.”Ever noticed how one symptom never shows up alone?
A hot flash leaves you snappy.
Brain fog makes you doubt yourself at work.
Stress shows up in your jaw, your chest, your sleep.

It’s like your whole system gets hijacked.

In this episode of the Wise Body Podcast, I’ll introduce you to a framework from yoga that explains why this happens and more importantly, how you can start untangling the ripple effect.

If you’ve ever felt like your symptoms are running the show and you’re just reacting, this is your chance to understand what’s really going on beneath the surface.

Listen in to discover a fresh way of seeing your body, your symptoms, and your power to shift them, even on your busiest days.

The real transformation comes when knowledge meets practice. After this episode, join me in a Wise Body Practice where you’ll not just understand the framework, but experience it and lock its power into your body and mind.

Practice 2 : Guided Bliss

In this Wise Body Practice, you’ll be guided through a seated meditation that takes you inward, layer by layer.

As you move through each layer, you’ll begin to notice where tension, fatigue, or restlessness might be showing up and how these subtle shifts ripple into how you feel day to day. This isn’t just about awareness; it’s about experiencing balance in real time.

We’ll close with a gentle visualization, reconnecting you to a moment of pure joy and calm you’ve felt before. A reminder that bliss isn’t something you have to chase it’s already within you, waiting to be remembered.

Best practiced seated, in a quiet space where you won’t be disturbed. Switch off notifications, settle in, and let this practice bring you back to yourself.

Practice 1 : Anchor down

The Wise Body Practice One (TWBP1) - Anchor down

The Wise Body Podcast is a combination of episodes and practices.

This audio is a Practice. Best practiced seated or lying down. Find a comfortable place without distractions, switch off notifications on your mobile, and enjoy this small pause in your day.

Use it when you are feeling pulled in many directions, caught in the chaos of symptoms, or simply overwhelmed by the busyness of life.

Through this 10-minute guided practice, you’ll feel your awareness shift inward, and may feel calm and steady connected to the space that is always within you.

You may notice moments of feeling grounded, ease and clarity, or you may simply notice the busyness of your mind.

Both responses are completely normal.

Be gentle with yourself, and know that with repeated practice, your nervous system learns to return to this inner space more readily.

Keep coming back to this practice whenever you need an anchor — each session is a step toward cultivating calm amid life’s storms.

Let us know below in the comments, how you feel after the practice. This will help others use it when they are feeling a bit frazzled.

Episode 2: In Heels or In Himalayas

Episode 2: In Heels or In Himalayas: Yoga is the anchor.

What does the saffron robed yogi with dreadlocks and white ash on his face, have in common with the pencil skirt, slick hair and red lipstick wearing high performing career woman have in common and how yoga is the link. Intrigued?

In this episode of the Wise Body Podcast, I explore yoga as more than just stretching or flexibility. It's impact on bringing the body into equilibrium, and why this is vital for a (career) woman in Perimenopause.

We’ll explore:

  • Why yoga is more than poses — it’s a science of self-regulation.

  • How asana and breathwork directly impact stress, hormones, and mood.

  • Why consistency (not quick fixes) creates lasting resilience.

  • How different yoga styles can support you at different stages.

Whether you’re sitting in meditation on a mountain or leading meetings in a power suit, yoga can be your anchor.

✨ Next release: Anchor Down. A short practice you can use anytime to feel centered and supported. Releases 23rd Tuesday 11:11am NZT

Episode 1: Hot Stuff to Hot Mess - You’re Not Crazy

Don't forget to fill out the poll at the bottom to let me know what symptom episode to release first!

Have you ever woken up at 2am, heart racing, drenched in sweat, wondering what’s wrong with you? Or maybe you’ve snapped at your family for no reason, forgotten why you walked into a room, or felt waves of anxiety out of nowhere. If you’ve ever thought, “Am I going crazy?” — you’re not alone, and you’re not broken.

In this first episode of the Wise Body Podcast, I share why so many women in midlife feel overwhelmed by perimenopause, and why your body isn’t failing you — it’s simply recalibrating.

We’ll talk about:

  • What happens to the body in perimenopause

  • How hormone shifts impact sleep, mood, memory, and more

  • Why stress management is key during this transition

  • A simple practice that will give you a powerful shift in how you see your symptoms

Perimenopause is full of unknowns, but it’s also full of wisdom. Your body is speaking — the question is, can you listen?

If this episode resonates, please share it with a friend who might need encouragement on her journey.
