*The language in this episode is fully clean. I marked it 'explicit' just in relation to a word used in the episode. A little warning in case there are little ears close by!
In today's solo episode of The Tuned In Podcast I answer your question on the topic of negative self-talk. How exactly do we talk to ourselves negatively without even noticing. And how we can overcome it so to change our mindset on a long-term basis.
Negative self-talk is just like any other habit. Through practice and repetition you learn the task at hand. But the thing is, we don't want talking to ourselves negatively so why is it then we find it so easy to get caught up in negative talk on a regular basis?
That right there is what we discuss in today's episode.

For my 40th birthday, I created what I called 'My 40s List'. The idea behind this list was to create 40 things I wanted to do, see, purchase etc. One of the things I wanted to have included on the list was a special episode of The Tuned In Podcast dedicated to this wonderful milestone in my life.
Just before my birthday, I had put together some thoughts in my journal. These thoughts I scribbled on paper were in fact what I believed to be lessons that I have learned from living life to date.
These 5 lessons are what I believe to be true from life so far. I feel incredibly fortunate to feel the way I do with regards to each of these 'lessons'.
And maybe by me talking you through these thoughts, and what they mean to me, you may gain a new insight to carry forward in your life.

Today's episode of The Tuned In Podcast came about from something new I learned just this past week or so ago because of my Moments to Remember journal.
I began noting my successes January of 2022 and what I didn't realise is how this journal would serve me so well one year later.
Take a listen. It is a story worth tuning into.
Today's episode of The Tuned In Podcast is for any of my listeners who are struggling with their own journal practice at the moment.
I believe that one of the main struggles within a journal practice is in relation to our deeper form of journaling, what I call emotional release.
In this episode I talk you through how you can go about building a long-lasting journal practice. The little tricks that worked for me on my own journal experience.
In this episode of The Tuned In Podcast I talk you through one particular Mindfulness exercise, the VAKGO exercise. This exercise helps you, along with the guidance of your five senses, to step out of autopilot back into the present moment.
What people may not know is that our senses hand us our experiences in life. When we give ourselves the opportunity to awaken each of our senses, each sense is inviting us to step into the present moment.
When we pause and reflect on a moment, our senses are sending us information that allows us to truly discover and experience that particular moment differently. With greater meaning.
This exercise is one small part of your Mindfulness practice but yet it is an effective part to your practice.
Take a listen to today's episode and try out the exercise for yourself.
