In this episode I talk about the move to Colorado and what it really meant for me. On paper it’s just a move, but it was way more than that. It was proof that I wasn’t stuck, that I could actually change things. For a long time I thought I wouldn’t be able to.

I share a story about one of my clients who went after a massive goal, one that forced him to change who he was in order to reach it. Because if you don’t change, you’ll never get there. I talk about the Japanese concept of Misogi, which means creating a year-defining challenge, something so big it demands you become someone new.

In this episode I dig into three big questions: can exercise improve your metabolism, how much exercise do you really need to see results, and which is better for overall health, cardio or strength.
I start by breaking down what metabolism actually is and the different parts of total daily energy expenditure, like BMR, NEAT, TEF, and EAT. I talk about how exercise impacts skeletal muscle, why muscle mass matters for burning calories, and how both cardio and resistance training bring their own benefits on the metabolic side.
I also get into how often you should train to make progress and why it helps to reframe the way you look at exercise frequency. Instead of an all or nothing mindset, I talk about looking at how many times you train across a month and building something that is adaptable and sustainable for your schedule.
