Another episode with my good friend and fellow coach Greg Pignataro. We cover a lot of stuff including Greg's recent explorations with having a makeshift AI therapist and how that's opened his mind to professional endeavors.

Welcome to the first Grahamble. Which ironically was how the podcast started. I'll be doing more of these.
I've been thinking alot about nutrition recently and making some changes to how I eat. Normally I stay away from the topic because it's so dogmatic. But I wanted to get this out.
I've been doing a fruit based diet by day and animal based diet at night. Which is basically one big meal at night with fruit or smaller carb meals throughout the day. More details in the podcast. I'm down about 7-8 pounds over the last few weeks and have felt lighter all around in my training.
TO BE CLEAR - This is all my rough interpretation of what I've learned. I'm sure it's not exactly factually correct. And I probably mispronounced Bacteroids the whole time. But feel free to ignore it. If you have questions, reach out to me on Instagram @thebarefootsprinter

Brady Volmering returns to the show to discuss training and how to get the most from your efforts. He introduced an idea called Feed Forward, which is all about setting an intention.
If you missed our first episode on rehabbing injuries last year, you can find that here. It was the best performing episode of the year so it's worth the listen.

My good friend, coach, author, and BJJ coach Daniel Strauss joined me on the podcast today. He's a brilliant mind that explores movement and philosophy. We talked all about grip training and how to build an incredibly strong body. Also, birds, grappling, and mythology. And other stuff. This is an excellent conversation to listen and learn from. We get into fun stuff.
This is Daniel's book The Grappler's Guide To Grip Training. I read it and highly recommend: https://www.google.com/search?client=safari&rls=en&q=grapplers+guide+to+grip+tarining&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8

I was fortunate enough to catch Alex Kikel in this conversation for a discussion about health, specifically as it relates to pregnancy and reproduction. Alex works as a coach and consultant to help people do everything from healing disease to winning Olympic medals. And since he's on his fourth kid, he's developed a deep knowledge about how to make the pregnancy process go smoothly.
I skipped the whole intro formalities because I wanted to get into the details, but if you want to hear more about his approach and background, I enjoyed these two podcasts:

This week I had the distinct pleasure to talk with my friend and fellow coach Greg Pignataro. He's a brilliant and empathetic man while a deeply curious mind. We got into some fun territory here on how psychedelics impact the gut microbiome and how to improve your relationships. You'll enjoy this.

This episode I had the pleasure of talking to Wilma Wong. She's a high level coach for Olympic and Paralympic swimmers and a healer. This wide ranging conversation covered a lot. Specifically the eyes and how they relate to performance and focus. Enjoy!

I talked with my friend and fellow strength coach Jon Heck about all things athleticism and strength training. He's been in the industry for years and has worked at multiple professional and college football strength teams. This is a solid episode with tons of practical knowledge to level up your training.

Dr. Sobo (or Swolebo as we called him back in the day) is a special person to me. He was my first role model, mentor, and coach for becoming athletic. He taught me the essentials of athleticism and inspired me to be the coach I am today.
He's also a brilliant man, loving father, and skilled coach.
This may be my favorite episode yet. It's worth a deep listen!

I had the pleasure of chatting with my friend Mick Breen. He's a myotherapist down in Australia and a running coach. We got into the weeds of running form, how to get started, and why sitting is ruining your body. If you're a runner or want to be one, you'll love this!

Back with Richard Aceves (@rarebarracuda on Instagram) for round 3! This guy is a brilliant coach. And he's helped me understand the deep connection between our muscles and emotions more than anyone else.
If you're interested in learning more about the body and it's intricacies, you'll love this!
Also - Richard is moving to California! So if you want to hop down to Orange County for a session, he'll be there!

Trying something new here! I recently did an Ask Me Anything IG Live and stripped the audio for a podcast version.
Though some things are lost without the visual aid, I read the prompts and tried to make things clear verbally.
Let me know what you think of this!
I had the chance to talk with Caveman Daveman. He's a true male specimen from the frigid north of Canada. He's crafted a body of steel from bending foreshores, picking up heavy stuff, and reinvigorating our ancestral connection to lifting stones.
You'll love this conversation. Dave is so well spoken and very intelligent. I learned a ton from him on the history of stones and strength sports.
