Navigating body image within a weight class sport - M.illieLifts
For this episode I was joined by Millie, and we wanted to delve into the topic of body image within a weight class sport. Often people will say their favourite thing within powerlifting is the fact that the focus is on what our bodies can do, rather than how they look, but at the same time, I've found from both my work as a coach but also just through speaking to friends in the sport, that often having these weight classes forces us to be more aware of our bodies and thus, our body image. This was a great discussion, and I hope it was helpful to listen to!

Millie and I have both been experiencing burnout and navigating it in our own ways, and as two people who absolutely love this sport, we felt it was quite an important topic to discuss publicly, so that anyone going through similar can see that it is a normal part of any sport and won't last forever.
