How ADHD and Autism overlap
In this episode I will be talking to my guest and client Rachel, who was officially diagnosed with ADHD. We'll talk about how ADHD and Autism overlap, what shared traits there are, which difficulties both provide regarding executive functioning, sensory processing and intense interests. We'll also talk about the social challenges and the difficulties and solutions around regulating emotions. The overlapping of ADHD and Autism is a relatively new area of research, and research findings are therefore limited. The American DSM did not allow the dual diagnosis until 2013. There's also a new term for this, it's AuDHD, and we will use this in our episode today.

Prayer can help to stop the inner spinning, and it's one of the most powerful tools to regulate the nervous system.

Why true happiness requires healing your inner child
Almost everbody in this world has a wounded inner child and this does not necessarily mean that your parents did not treat you well. The reason why almost everybody has a more or less wounded inner child is that unconditional love does not exist in our world. A child almost always is confronted with conditions, for example: If I behave, my parents love me. If I misbehave, they will tell me off, and as a child I interpret this as a temporary lack of love. So love is tied to a condition and it's not the parent's fault, it's simply the consequence of what we call education. And education is important, otherwise we will not be able to function as a society.
