In this episode I will be talking to my guest and client Rachel, who was officially diagnosed with ADHD. We'll talk about how ADHD and Autism overlap, what shared traits there are, which difficulties both provide regarding executive functioning, sensory processing and intense interests. We'll also talk about the social challenges and the difficulties and solutions around regulating emotions.
The overlapping of ADHD and Autism is a relatively new area of research, and research findings are therefore limited. The American DSM did not allow the dual diagnosis until 2013. There's also a new term for this, it's AuDHD, and we will use this in our episode today.
