Ro: Frunzele cădeau peste tot în parcarea centrului de votare.
En: The leaves were falling all over the parking lot of the voting center.
Ro: Aerul era rece, tipic toamnei, iar culoarea aurie a copacilor transforma totul într-un tablou plin de viață.
En: The air was cold, typical of autumn, and the golden color of the trees turned everything into a lively painting.
Ro: În interiorul sălii de sport, așteptam în rând, simțind agitația oamenilor care discutau despre alegeri.
En: Inside the gymnasium, I waited in line, feeling the bustle of people discussing the elections.
Ro: Era Ziua Alegerilor și simțeam un fior de mândrie că pot vota.
En: It was Election Day, and I felt a sense of pride that I could vote.
Ro: Stăteam acolo, printre alți cetățeni, așteptând răbdător.
En: I stood there, among other citizens, patiently waiting.

En: Suddenly, I felt dizzy.

En: Elena, a young volunteer and nurse, noticed me.
Ro: „Domnule, sunteți bine?” m-a întrebat.
En: “Sir, are you okay?” she asked.
Ro: Fața ei era plină de grijă.
En: Her face was full of concern.
Ro: „Da, sigur, sunt bine”, am spus, încercând să par convingător.
En: “Yes, of course, I’m fine,” I said, trying to sound convincing.
Ro: Dar adevărul era că mă simțeam slăbit.
En: But the truth was, I felt weak.
Ro: Elena a insistat: „Poate ar trebui să vă așezați puțin.”
En: Elena insisted: “Maybe you should sit down for a bit.”
Ro: Am dat din cap, refuzând.
En: I shook my head, refusing.
Ro: Rândul avansa încet.
En: The line moved slowly.
Ro: Cu fiecare pas, simțeam cum amețeala se intensifică.
En: With each step, I felt the dizziness intensify.

En: The people around me talked about the country’s politics.

En: But to me, every word became a distant echo.

En: It was hard for me to accept help, but I had no choice.

En: I was afraid to let health control my life.
Ro: Elena mi-a zâmbit.
En: Elena smiled at me.
Ro: „A vota este important, dar și să aveți grijă de dumneavoastră.
En: “Voting is important, but so is taking care of yourself.
