Don’t let the pain of change outweigh the pain of remaining the same
It’s fascinating how we will only make a decision to change, (that being a positive decision) because the pain of remaining how we are right now is more painful than what it would be if we actually decided to make a change. I talk about my father. He had tried to give up smoking for 20+ years without success but the moment he went to the doctors and the GP told him you either give up smoking or smoking will kill you, It was at that moment that he never smoked again. This is the perfect example of the pain of change is less than the pain remaining the same, and unfortunately this is where a lot of us have to get to, before we implement change in our lives that is good for us.

Now have a look at the two lists and see what kind of balance you have between the positive things that you and the negative things that you do. It’s that simple, Now just check how out of balance your list really is, and now objectively we need to get our list to balance. Either remove some of the negative aspects of your life and replace them with more positive influences that make a difference. The goal is to create balance and if you must over balance, make sure it’s towards the positive side.
