Episode 33. Creating a Life You Won’t Give Up On with Dan Brodsky-Chenfeld
In this episode, I sit down with legendary skydiver, author, and speaker Dan Brodsky-Chenfeld, whose name has echoed in the skydiving world for decades. From watching his TED talk as a brand-new student in 2011 to jumping with him in 2013 and now finally sitting with him in this full-circle moment, this conversation felt incredibly special.
Dan shares the extraordinary story of how he followed a childhood dream of human flight into a life of skydiving, championship competition, and ultimately—resilience in the face of unimaginable tragedy. After surviving a devastating plane crash that claimed 16 lives, left him in a coma, with substantial injuries, Dan made the seemingly impossible decision to heal, return, and continue living the dream he had fought so hard to create.
We talk about the mental strength it takes to leap into the unknown, the profound lessons skydiving has offered him (and all of us who’ve flown beside him), and the true meaning of success - doing what you love with your whole heart.
If you’ve ever wondered what it takes to chase something wildly meaningful—despite fear, obstacles, or the odds—this conversation is for you.

Episode 32. Behind the Kitchen Doors with Darius Waters
In this episode, I sit down with my friend and longtime Shambhala neighbour, Darius Waters, for a really honest, down-to-earth conversation about his journey through addiction, burnout, and ultimately, healing.
Darius shares what it was like working in the high-pressure world of fine dining as a chef—where long hours, heavy drinking, and drugs were just part of the culture. It wasn’t until the world slowed down during the pandemic that he finally saw his drinking for what it was: a problem that was taking over his life.
We talk about the moment he knew he needed help, his experience walking into his first AA meeting, and how hard it was to get sober—not just physically, but emotionally. He’s now nearly three years sober, studying to become a youth counsellor, and mentoring kids through a powerful long-term program that supports youth for 12 years, no matter what.
Darius is full of heart and humility. This episode is a reminder that healing is possible, that people can and do change, and that sometimes, rock bottom is what opens the door to a completely new way of living.

Episode 17. Koa’s Warrior Spirit with Troy Pegler
In this heart-touching episode, we hear the extraordinary story of Troy Pegler and his 3.5-year-old son, Koa—a name that means "Brave" in Maori. Koa was born with CHARGE syndrome and faced many severe health challenges from before his first breath. Troy and his wife spent the first year of Koa's life living in hospital accommodations, enduring multiple major surgeries and countless moments of uncertainty.
Troy opens up about the emotional toll this journey took on him, leading him to some of the darkest places he didn’t think he’d escape from. Leaning on alcohol to numb the pain, it was Koa's warrior spirit that kept him going. Through holistic practices like breathwork, meditation, and inner work, Troy found the strength to overcome these challenges.

Episode 15. Reconnecting with Self through Art, Men’s work and Gut Health with Hayden Williams
In this powerful episode, we sit down with Hayden Williams a tattoo artist from the Sunshine Coast in Queensland, Australia. Hayden shares how his early years of trauma and the unprocessed grief of losing his father led him to some harmful habits and a strong disconnection from himself that threatened his life. His passion for art began with street art and tattooing, but his true healing began when he uprooted his life to the center of Australia, starting fresh without a community or even a cell phone. It was there that he reconnected with the land and rediscovered himself.
Hayden’s path to healing has been multifaceted, involving men’s work, breathwork, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, yoga, and somatic practices. These elements have been crucial in his journey towards a happier and more fulfilled life. He speaks to the importance of gut health, explaining how addressing it brought all aspects of his healing journey together, leading to a more holistic sense of well-being.
