    06. How to Make a Good First Impression

We always say "don't judge a book by its cover" but that is exactly what we do. Whenever we meet someone new for the first time, we innately categorise them in our brains before they even get the chance to open up their mouth.

Is this a bad trait or is this something that everyone does?

In today's episode, we discuss if first impressions TRULY matter, how to make a better first impression, the one small change we can all make to guarantee a connection can be made, and the importance of non-verbal communication.

    05. Elijah Soto - How losing a loved one can be an impetus for change

The first guest on the Life's Teachers Podcast for 2025 is Elijah Soto who resides in Southern California, USA. I know I probably say this after every episode but this episode is genuinely up there with one of the most impactful episodes I have filmed.

Elijah completed a Biology degree in college and was working in the job force where he begged the question "is this really what I want to do for the rest of my life? "We talk about what lead him to quit his well paying full time job to follow his own path, the impact of losing a loved one, the importance of having an open mind, finding your reason for being on this earth and the importance of living your life as your authentic self.

If you are someone struggling to find their place in the world and are afraid to chase your dreams, doubting your abilities then Elijah's story is definitely one that you want to listen too.

Elijah has recently started his own podcast called the “Cause to Become Podcast” which you can check out in the link below:

    04. What constitutes a good friend and how to cultivate deeper relationships

I truly believe that it is extremely hard after high school to develop strong friendships with new people, let alone maintain the current friendships you have. During your adolescent years, you are used to seeing the same people 5 days in a row at school from 13-18 years old.

When you graduate high school, you often take for granted how much time you actually got to spend with your friends and the fun you had during lunch and recess at school.

After high school, everyone grows at different rates, sets off on their own trajectories and goes down different paths. One friend is married, the other is traveling around the world, one is working full time, one has a kid - you know what I mean!

This is all completely normal. However, one question I think people in their early 20s should ask themselves are "are my friends great friends?". In this episode, we learn about how friendships can make you live longer, what truly constitutes a good friend, how to cultivate deeper relationships, how to increase your “frientimacy” and how to make new friends.

If you are someone who is experiencing loneliness or is craving to connect with likeminded people, then this episode is for you.

Disclaimer - if you are struggling severely with loneliness or struggling with your mental health, then please be sure to speak to qualified health professional

    03. Why you experience FOMO and how to combat it

FOMO is something that we all experience. You are scrolling on social media, looking at your friends Instagram stories and you see that it seems like everybody but you is at this one party or everybody but you is on a holiday.

Give me a break - are you serious?

How can I be the only one missing out?

FOMO ties deeply into our human fear of being socially excluded. On this episode, I debunk what is FOMO, why you experience it as well as provide you with 2 key strategies to help overcome it.

    Life's Teachers
Your 20s is a weird time. No one knows what they are doing. There are so many different options you can take but it can be so overwhelming. Its a bit of a nuisance when you speak to people older than you and they repeatedly say “your 20s are the best years of your life”. It puts a constant pressure on us that if we are not living our 20s to the fullest, then we are wasting this decade. Well, this is why I started the LifesTeachers podcast where I help you to navigate your 20s. This podcast aims to educate you on people's valuable experiences as well as improve your self esteem and skill set t
