He is the co-founder and CEO of PROOF - an NFT ecosystem which encompasses the Proof Collective (a 1,000 members-only collective of dedicated NFT collectors and artists), Moonbirds (which is their PFP collection), Oddities (an awesome collab they did with Gremplin) and recently Mythics (an expansion of the Moonbirds world). Kevin is also a partner at TRUE VENTURES. Over the years, he has been featured on the cover of Inc. Magazine, BusinessWeek, and more. Time Magazine calls Kevin one of the "Top 25 Most Influential People on the Web," and Bloomberg lists him as a "Top 25 Angel Investor."  Kevin founded the social news site DIGG, the intermittent fasting app ZERO, and the meditation app OAK. He also served as the CEO of HODINKEE and a General Partner at GOOGLE VENTURES. Needless to say, Kevin has had quite the professional parkour. He is a genuine and passionate human being who isn’t afraid to swing for the fences. His drive to accomplish more and push the edge of what’s possible within the web3 space has inspired me in many ways so it’s a real pleasure to have him on the show. In this episode, we cover a wide range of topics. We talk collectibles, NFTs, Proof, Mythics and the recent Grails drop, but we also touch upon his meditation practice, his passion for photography and film cameras, instilling confidence in his kids and much more. I hope you enjoy this episode as much as I enjoyed recording it. Marlo Johnson – Her Creative Process, Daily Meditation Practice, Mindset and More | Martin Hyu Show Ep.26
It is a snowy Christmas Day here in Montreal Canada. I wanted to wish you happy holidays - hope you’re taking some time off to recharge and relax as we approach 2023!  Our guest today is Marlo Johnson. Marlo is a phenomenal artist and author of 2 books: Creative Alchemy: Meditations, Rituals, and Experiments to Free Your Inner Magic and Create Now!: A Systematic Guide to Artistic Audacity. Her art is an exploration of the relationship between consciousness and physicality. She creates as a reminder to bring herself back into states of positivity and she offers her art to others as a similar inspiration: a way to propagate and normalize peace, compassion, joy, and feminine power. Each painting is meant to be used as a tool for meditation and the awakening of a particular state of being. In her words: “sit with it, quiet your mind, and observe how it makes you feel.” We’re gonna touch on a lot of these points - you’re gonna notice even the tone of this talk is more serene and calming. That’s because I spent a good amount of time observing her works before the recording! You can find her works on Superrare, Foundation and OpenSea. I hope you enjoy this episode as much as I enjoyed recording it. If you can take an extra 10 to 30 seconds to share your thoughts and review the podcast, it would mean the world to me :) If you like what you hear, hit that follow button! Ian Rogers – Ledger CXO on Web3 Adoption, User Experience, Vinyl Collecting and More | Martin Hyu Show Ep.25
I just got back from Paris where I attended Ledger Open. Fantastic event and great announcement from the team with their new hardware wallet - the Ledger Stax which I just minted. I’m so happy I got to meet and chat with the CXO of the company who happens to be the guest of today’s episode - Mr Ian Rogers. Ian has had quite the parkour career-wise to say the least. He’s worked in music tech since the mid 90s and built some of the earliest music-related websites. Throughout the years, he’s worked with a wide variety of companies: some OG ones such as Winamp to behemoths like Yahoo! as well as Apple after they acquired Beats Music - where he served as chief executive. At Apple, he spearheaded the iconic brand into music streaming services by successfully launching Apple Music (you might have heard of it). Seeking a new challenge shortly after, Ian joined the LVMH group as Chief Digital Officer with the intention of developing the luxury conglomerate’s online retail presence. After 5 transformative years at LVMH, Rogers announced his new position (and current position) at Ledger as Chief Experience Officer. Ian is a real rockstar at heart. I got so much wisdom and insight talking to him. We go deep into user experience, adoption, his vision for what Ledger will bring in the coming years. True to his music background, we also talk about vinyl collecting and much more. I had such a blast recording this. Ian is a genuine, curious, passionate but most of all compassionate human being with a wealth of knowledge. I hope you enjoy this episode as much as I enjoyed recording it. If you can take an extra 10 to 30 seconds to share your thoughts and review the podcast, it would mean the world to me :) If you like what you hear, hit that follow button!
