How emotional avoidance impacts physical health
The role of behavioral therapy in trauma recovery
Why self-compassion is key to healing

In this inspiring episode of The F.E.E.L Podcast, we sit down with the multitalented and creative Foster Wilson, who describes herself as compassionate, creative, nerdy, and weird. Through her open-hearted conversation, Foster dives deep into how she reconnects with her “why” and filters her life decisions through her core values of connection, growth, self-expression, and freedom.
Foster shares her unique values filtration system, explaining how it helps her align decisions, projects, and relationships with what truly matters. From her creative roots as an actress turned director to her focus on authentic living and personal freedom, Foster reminds us that the key to fulfillment is living life on your own terms rather than through the expectations of others.
This episode is for anyone who feels pulled in different directions and wants to come back to what’s most important. Whether you’re a creative, an entrepreneur, or someone seeking balance, Foster’s wisdom on self-discovery, alignment, and empowerment will inspire you to live more intentionally and courageously.

With clarity and vulnerability, Marie shares her grief journey and how she found emotional resilience in the face of unimaginable heartbreak. She discusses the importance of setting clear boundaries, protecting her space and energy during a time when the outside world, although well-meaning, often didn’t respect her needs.
From being overwhelmed by unannounced visitors to managing the unrealistic expectations of constant digital connection, Marie had to learn how to prioritize mental health, teach her children about loss, and reclaim her own sense of peace.
In this episode, we explore:
Coping with the sudden loss of a partner
Parenting through grief
The role of boundaries in emotional healing
Managing unsolicited advice and emotional overload
How language and self-talk shape our recovery

💬 Ways to Engage
As Marie says, “Language can be either debilitating or nurturing.”
This week, reflect on how you use language with yourself and others. Are your words building you up or tearing you down?
How do you speak to yourself in moments of pain?
What language do you use to set boundaries?
Are you nurturing or draining your energy with your communication?
Take note. Then choose your words with intention.

Trigger Warning: This episode contains discussions of alcoholism, emotional abuse, and grief. Please listen with care.
Description:
This week’s episode is a deeply moving and empowering conversation with Gina Economopoulos, a resilient, faith-filled woman who has walked a winding road of identity, loss, and healing. Gina shares her powerful story of breaking away from toxic environments, rediscovering her faith after being emotionally abused within a religious institution, and learning how to set healthy boundaries.
As the seventh of eight siblings, Gina grew up battling health issues and self-esteem challenges, turning to alcohol to cope. Known as "the life of the party," she wore that label like armor until grief struck and forced a shift in her path. After losing her mother to cancer, she pursued God wholeheartedly, becoming a Catholic nun for over a decade, only to be removed from the convent under painful circumstances.
But Gina’s story didn’t end in despair—it evolved into a journey of self-discovery, radical self-love, and purposeful living. Now grounded in her truth, Gina uses her compassionate heart to serve others while nurturing her own peace and boundaries.
What You’ll Learn in This Episode:
How alcohol masked deeper emotional pain and insecurity
The connection between unresolved grief and identity struggles
The role of faith in recovery and personal transformation
Why setting boundaries is essential to emotional healing
How to rebuild after being emotionally abused in spiritual spaces
How to ask the empowering question: "Why not me?" instead of "Why me?"
