#48 - Your Parts Aren’t the Problem, Your Choice Is.

Hey podcast fam, in this solo I’m going deep. I’m sharing real stories, old wounds and shadowy parts I don’t usually put on the internet, to show you how I processed a big emotional trigger and a psychosomatic injury in just a few days. If you’ve been getting hooked by the same relationship triggers or watching yourself self-sabotage even when you know better, this story will reveal an alternative approach forward.

This is the first in a series I’m calling “So what are you going to choose?”.

I tell a fresh-in-the-body story from last week. How I said yes to performing a deeply emotional embodiment piece at Outspoken, dropped into an old wound onstage, and two days later my body “injured” itselfout of nowhere. That injury led me straight into a relationship trigger and straight into the exact work I teach: parts, protection, regulation and choosing from your centre.

If you’ve ever felt not enough, compared yourself to someone “more” than you, or watched yourself push love away, this one’s for you.

#47 - Rewilding the Soul & Remembering Your Place of Belonging with Tei Taiyari

If you’ve ever felt the ache of modern disconnection or longed for a more meaningful way to walk through all the change that is currently existing in this world, this convo is a must listen.

Recorded in the lush mini-jungles of Santiago, Guatemala, this episode explores the practice of threshold counselling with my good friend and legend, Tei Taiyari, founder of Coyotei Counsel.

A counsellor, death doula, writer, and edge-walker, with a background that bridges deep ecology, imagination, and rites of passage work, Tei is devoted to helping people navigate life’s transformative thresholds with meaning and courage.

Together in this conversation we unpack what it means to cross a threshold, not just as an idea, but as a lived rite of passage drawn from anthropology and ecology. Tei shares a deep, raw, and vulnerable story from his own childhood, a moment that truly highlights the power of threshold crossings and how they can shape the trajectory of our lives.

From here, we widen into themes of shame and self-worth, disconnection from land and culture, and the lingering impacts of colonisation that still impacts how we relate to ourselves and the world.

You’ll also hear about practical ways to reconnect with your inner wilderness, deepen your sensory awareness, and reclaim a sense of belonging, not only to community, but to the more than-human world. This conversation offers both grounded tools and soulful reminders that the wild wisdom you seek is already alive within you.

Hope you enjoy fam.

#46 - From Psychosis to Purpose. The Alchemy of Anger, Hip Hop & Healing with Amenti.

Amenti MoveMeant is a prolific community-based, psyche-somatic movement school and method founded by Gil ‘The Grid’ Gomes Leal. Rooted in ancient Kemetic wisdom and shaped by Gil’s background as a professional hip-hop dancer, Amenti is a transformative body-mind-spirit practice that explores what it means to be fully human through movement, psychology, shamanism, and symbolism.

They hail from Rotterdam in the Netherlands and are currently on a global tour, sharing their unique workshops & performances that blend dance, Jungian psychology, somatic practices, and communal ritual work.

Ever since witnessing their dance transmissions on stage at Boom Festival in Portugal back in 2023, I knew their work would change the world.

For me, Amenti stands for so much more than the prolific dance troupe and school they are. They’re a living example of what can happen when you choose to look at the cards you’ve been dealt in life, the dark and the light, and choose to play them in a way that takes responsibility for your highest aspirations and service to the world.

For me, Amenti stands for what is possible when you trust yourself, your tribe and spirit through life’s biggest trials and tribulations, and turn it into something beautiful.

In this conversation I’m graced with the presence of Gil, the founder, as well as Tamara, a lead facilitator who’s been there from Amenti’s origins.

Enjoy folks, this one’s an absolute banger.

With Seba being my philosophy teaching during my Yoga Teacher Training in Bali back in 2017, and subsequently being a mentor of mine, Seba has played an incredibly pivotal role in my life, helping me step into my most fearless & authentic expression. So I’m beyond stoked to bring you a slice of him today.

Seba is creative leader that travels the world teaching eastern philosophy & tantric embodiment and is the founder of ‘Heart of Tantra’; an organisation that teaches tantric wisdom to help people live a life of purpose, passion, intimacy and freedom. Hosting international retreats, mentoring 1:1 and speaking at international festivals around the globe, amongst being a part of so many creative projects, Seba is one hell of a barefoot hustler.

We dive into such things as:

-What does it actually mean to live your ultimate truth?

-Seba’s modern definition of enlightenment that connects you to the world, rather than separates you

-Seba’s story from crippling anxiety to travelling the world

living his dream

-How to harness courage in order to listen to life’s calls.

-How to take leaps of faith that will change your life

-How to prepare yourself against the challenges of growth

into the person you want to be

-How to achieve effortless action in pursuit of what you want

-The possible pitfalls of spiritual communities

-How to achieve your most fearless expression of self

#32- Finding Inner Peace through Letting Go and Deeply Forgiving with Virginia Kastilio

Hello friends and foe,

On the Barefoot Hustler menu today is a powerful conversation I had in Bali with the lovely Virginia Kastilio; a social change maker, speaker, facilitator, Inc magazine’s Top 27 Women to Change the World and founder of ‘Humans I Trust’.

Humans I Trust is a global community of investors, creators, business leaders and influencers who meet all over the world to master-heart, play, co-create and evolve together.

Or alternatively, Virginia describes herself simply as a genie that grants wishes. She helps others on a mass scale through her extraordinary network of social change makers and her super-human ability to trust what is happening around her, to let go and forgive.

In this conversation we talk about:

-How to notice if you’re dreaming small and how to change this

-How to achieve an abundant mindset independent of your external circumstances

-A live example on me of how Virginia grants wishes

-The art of surrendering to what is happening to flow more with life

-How losing everything can give you everything you wanted

-How forgiveness is the key to inner peace

-The two pivotal components of forgiveness

-‘The way of the jedi’, Virginia’s story to allow us to attune and adapt

-Rituals to let go of resistance and lessen your suffering

-Practises to cultivate more self-worth and manifest your wildest dreams

-An exploration of the limitations of the western medicine approach to mental health

-How to grant your own wishes

#31- Unlocking Unapologetic Pleasure in your Sexuality & Life with Jessica Soares

Stop and prepare yo’selves friends, cause this convo is absolute fire. It’s packed to the brim with chemistry, laughter, nugget bombs, insight and unfiltered stories from both Jess and I.

Jessica Soares is a sensuality & self-expression coach, actor, writer and founder of her pussify retreats and workshops. She helps people come to their fullest expression and creates opportunities for people to connect with themselves, each other and the divine through pleasure and play.

But more importantly, Jessica is one of the most unapologetic people I’ve ever met. Straight up confidence and bigness in the most beautiful refreshing sense.

In this convo we talk about:

-The absence of play and pleasure in today’s world

-The glorification of pain and how this limits our ability to rest and play

-How to access creative inspiration in natural or urban environments

-Jess’ three techniques (aka her ‘holy trilogy’) to connect with the divine

-How Jess’ acting career played such a significant role in her awakening journey

-The great vulnerability of being in your joy

-The prevalence of tall poppy syndrome and how this affects how we show up in the world

-How to live unapologetically and take up space no matter what

-The trap of seeking to be ‘good’

-The guilt that comes from privilege and how to manage this

-How to self-pleasure for more intimacy, connection and pleasure

-Why we struggle to use our voice and how to ask for what we want

Do yourself a favour and drink this audio juice. And then do the world a favour and send it to someone you love.
