What Does it Mean to Close Your Circle of Friends?
Today we dive deep into the topic of friendship. We touch on all things good, bad, easy, toxic, confusing, healthy, and more on this topic, but we round it out by sharing the concept of the inner circle and outer circle of friends, and what it REALLY means to "close your circle of friends", or, "close in on" your friendships. Great friends can be difficult to come by nowadays, so it's important to know how to identify great friends vs. good ones vs. bad ones, and how to maintain healthy friendships. We talk about how to choose who goes in the inner circle vs the outer one, and knock down misconceptions about family in friend groups as well. Overall, we think everyone struggles with friends at some point in life, so we are confident in saying this episode really is for YOU.  Until next time, Beth and Ayla

How to Connect with Vendors
I used to think that all you had to do to be successful in business was just advertise hard enough. But it turns out that the age-old saying is actually true: "It's not what you know, it's who you know." Honestly, you can go far with great advertising, but you will never unlock your true potential without connecting to people and fellow vendors in your industry. It's just a fact.  If the thought of connecting with other vendors confuses or scares you, well, that's why we made this episode! We will talk about how we learned the importance of vendor connections, and the actual steps we take to build relationships with people in our industry. If you aren't fully sold on this concept, we also talk about the benefits of having these connections.  Let us know what you think after you listen!  Your hosts, Beth and Ayla

Overcoming Fears to Pursue A Life You Love
We all know that our bodies are designed to protect us, and emotions like fear and nervousness can help keep us safe. What we wanted to talk about today is that, while those are very real feelings, the fact that there are many areas in life where we may need to push past our physical reaction of fear, in order to enrich our lives, and progress them in a way we never thought possible. From hanging out in crowded places, to solo travel, to skiing or cliff jumping, we talk about times in our own lives where we pushed past fear, and came out the other side with a new sense of growth and accomplishment. Do you feel like fear, feeling uncomfortable, or anxiety is stopping you from something you really want to do? Well, we hope this episode is the right place for you. See you next week! xo - Beth and Ayla

When Does a Hobby Turn Into Escapism? - Episode 64
Okay folks, we got a bit heavier than we expected on the show today, but it's a topic that is near and dear to our hearts. Both of us have personal experience in this topic, and we want to know if you did too.  Have you ever had a favorite hobby or pastime, whether it's TV, movies, books, video games, exercise, literally anything, take a little too much control of your life? Have you ever gone through a time in your life where something is wrong, and you cover it up by isolating, or escaping into a hobby? We're been there, and we think this is a niche, yet important subject to get out into the open. What is the line between engaging in a fun hobby, and using it to isolate from the world around you? We get open and honest about some of our past experiences in this episode, and with that, we want to remind you that we are two human beings behind the microphones here at AOI, and we care about each and every one of you listening. If anything in this episode resonated with you, and you would like to continue the conversation, or confide in someone about what you're going through, then you are welcomes to reach out to us @artofintentionpodcast on Instagram, or you can email us at artofintentionpodcast@gmail.com We post every Tuesday, so we'll see you again next week! xo - Beth and Ayla

Our Thoughts Behind the Anti-Aging Industry
We all probably have thoughts about the beauty industry in North America, and the effects its had on women over the years. This topic could be unpacked in many episodes, but today, we tackled the anti-aging industry specifically, and shared our (maybe hot) takes on skincare, plastic surgery, and specialty beauty treatments. We think there's many ways the anti-aging industry preys on women of all ages, and perpetuates insecurities around aging. Curious for where we landed on the topic? Then you won't want to miss this episode! Young Kids Just Don't Wanna Work These Days - Episode 58
We've all heard that phrase at one point or another, and every generation probably says is about the generation below them, but have you noticed a severe change in work ethic in the last few years? Whether you're an employer trying to hire the best people possible, or you're in the workforce and struggling with a younger generation, we argue that you're not alone. We're two Gen Z girls who have not only noticed a huge shift in work ethic, we also share what we think is the source of it. We dive into what we have been seeing in the workforce the past few years, what we think is causing it, and practical ways to combat it, and we also encourage our generation, and the generation to follow, that they are capable of AMAZING things if they're willing to put in the work. Beth and Ayla IN PERSON! - Beth's Recent Visit to Canada and Our Schenanigans
You heard (read) that right, we have been IN PERSON this last week, and we straight up could not be more stoked to be here. Beth made her way from warm and sunny Hawaii to join Ayla in early spring (so, still cold) Canada. We, of course, had the BEST time, and we can't wait to share all of the adventures we had and the content we were able to grab for the show.  We were in full sleepover mode for today's episode, which definitely included snacks, pj's, facemasks, AND us laughing and chatting about Beth's time in the Great White North. We went out on the down, went for work dates, had movie nights, and truly lived our best lives, and we NEEDED to share the week with you. We recommend pairing today's episode with a fun drink, some snacks of your own, and your comfiest clothes. Come hang out with us as we chat about Beth's time in Canada.

Life Lessons I Learned From Mom
A few weeks ago, we started talking about some way to do a Moms appreciation episode here on the show, and we actually voice messaged back and forth a TON just talking about our Moms, and how much we appreciate them, even if we didn't realize that growing up. It just so happens that we just celebrated Mother's Day this week, so in honor of that, but also just to say it, today's episode is, well, exactly what you read in the title!  We share our favorite lessons or stories we learned from our moms, either by direct teaching or by example. We had LOTS to cover in this one, and we could probably even make a part 2, but for today, sit back with us as we take some times to appreciate our moms today. When you're done with the episode, if you havn't yet for Mother's day, make sure you give your mom a call, give her a hug, and let her know you appreciate her.  See you there! Xo -Beth and Ayla

We Take A Personality Test! - Episode 52
We thought this Tuesday needed a little something fun, and that fun came in the form of Beth and Ayla taking the 16 Personalities Test live on the show today! We're sure lots of you have either heard of 16 Personalities, or are familiar with personality tests in general, and how fun it can be to get a new insight on who you are and how you see the world. We were pretty surprised by our results today, and we definitely laughed a lot, so we invite you to come hang out with us, maybe even take the test alongside us, and just have a good time.  Xo - Beth and Ayla

Dealing with Difficult Clients
If you are a business owner / entrepreneur, odds are you will encounter at least one customer dispute. This can be something simple that you need to choose to overlook and move on from, or something that causes you to end the contract with that client, or something extreme that leads to a legal dispute (although that last one is extremely rare and we are going to talk today about how to avoid it). In today's episode, we go over each of those three scenarios, give examples, and what to do for each type of dispute. We encourage any small business owner to give this episode a listen and to educate themselves on the topic of contracts and client disputes! As always, if you have any questions, we are always happy to answer them! Just send them to artofintentionpodcast@gmail.com, or DM us on Instagram @artofintentionpodcast See you next week! Let's Talk About Money Trauma - Episode 50
Alright, let's get right down to the brass tax. Money is hard, and talking about money is hard. I think a lot of us can relate to the idea of feeling very "out of control" regarding our money. Now, we are NOT money gurus (not at all, actually), but we wanted to talk today about our upbringings regarding money, and how our education regarding money as children and teenagers, manifested in adulthood. Not gonna lie, this episode made us get VULNERABLE. Beth opens up about how she developed a shopping addiction in her college years, after feeling like the money she made in her childhood wasn't "hers", whereas Ayla grew up as a "Serial Saver," and how she had to work through the stress of not always having a "comfortable" savings account. We dive into our personal stories, but we also share the practical steps we took to better ourselves when it came to being good stewards of money. Our goal for this episode is to shed some light on the mindset of, "just save all your money," that we learn at home and in school, and to help those of you out there who relate to some of our struggles to not feel alone. EVERYONE struggles with money at one point or another, so we're here to share ours, and to encourage you to FACE yours. You've got this, and we've got you. xo - Beth and Ayla

Little Life Lessons
Get ready for our most fun (and definitely most chaotic) episode yet. We sat down this week with the intention of sharing a few of our favorite life lessons we've picked up in life so far. We expected to think up maybe 5-6 each, but once we sat to write them down, the inspiration started flowing, and we ended up thinking of lesson after lesson that has impacted us individually over the course of our lives, and we almost couldn't wait to sit down and record them. We share the funny lessons, the hard ones, the lessons for the entrepreneurs and for the married folks, we pull from the Bible, and we pull from our own experiences. That's really all there is to it today, so get cozy and come hang out with us while we rapid fire through what we think are the most important lessons we have learned in life so far. When you're done with this episode, head to our instagram, and drop 1 or 2 or 10 of YOUR best life advice in the comments! We want to hear from you, and keep the conversation going!
