I know I’m not the only creative out there who struggles with anxiety. But I’m pretty sure we can all agree that it sucks. For a long time I felt so alone in my struggles. Like no one understood what I was feeling. I found the more I spoke up about it the more I connected with others just like myself. That’s why I’ve created this space, so you can come hang out while I chat about everything from business to relationships and all the awkward and interesting inbetweens of living a creative life. You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, and you’ll for sure cringe at an inside look of the life of an anxious creative.

Does a Digital Detox Work? I turned my phone off for 7 days
Hey friend, I did something wild—I turned my phone off for a whole seven days. No texts, no scrolling, no sneaky “I’ll just check this one thing.” And while I expected better sleep and some peaceful quiet... what actually happened caught me totally off guard. 😳 In this episode, I’m getting real about what came up in the silence, how deep my phone addiction runs, what surprised me the most, and the one truth no one warned me about. If you’ve ever felt burnt out, numb, or like you're distracting yourself from your self, you’ll want to hear this.

Navigating Anxiety, Burnout, and Avoidance: A Candid Conversation on Mental Health and Self-Care
This one’s raw, real, and honestly, a little vulnerable (aka: my favorite way to connect with you). In this episode of The Anxious Creative, I sat down with my friend Alex to dive into the messy, complex world of anxiety, burnout, avoidance, and mental health. We open up about our personal experiences — from autistic burnout, OCD, and trauma triggers, to family dynamics, boundaries, and that terrifying-but-beautiful journey of living authentically. We talk about the difference between healthy rest and avoidance, why our bodies often know things before our brains do, and how hard (but necessary) it is to give ourselves permission to feel, heal, and say no. If you’ve ever struggled with people-pleasing, perfectionism, or feeling stuck in your own head, this one’s for you. Oh — and spoiler alert: yes, I overshared (of course). Yes, we got deep. And yes, you’re totally safe here.

What does it mean to have Boundaries? Why setting healthy boundaries are essential
Grab your cozy socks and your favorite drink, because we’re getting real about something that trips up so many of us recovering people-pleasers: boundaries. In this super raw and honest episode, I’m spilling a story I’ve never fully shared before (yep, it's awkward, messy, and a little hilarious too) about my journey from not-even-knowing-what-boundaries-were to finally figuring out how to stand up for myself—without burning everything down. I open up about messy friendships, uncomfortable confrontations, and learning the hard way how to differentiate between boundaries and walls. Plus, I dive into how a simple whiteboard from my therapist forever shifted my understanding of boundaries. Spoiler: boundaries aren't about shutting people out — they’re about letting people in, safely. If you’ve ever found yourself bending over backwards, terrified of disappointing others, or caught in that exhausting cycle of people-pleasing, this episode is your permission slip to take your power back (with compassion). We’ll chat business boundaries, personal boundaries, and the sneaky ways we self-sabotage. And of course, I overshare my way through all of it, as only The Anxious Creative can.

How To Overcome Imposter Syndrome When You’re Anxious
Ever feel like a fraud? Like you're just waiting for someone to call you out? Especially when your anxiety is already through the roof? Trust me, been there. This week, I'm diving deep into the anxiety-fueled world of imposter syndrome. I'm sharing my own cringe-worthy stories of quitting my dream job in Australia because my anxiety convinced me I was a total fake. We're talking panic attacks, the urge to people-please our way through life, and that lovely feeling of wanting to hide under the covers forever. But it's not all doom and gloom, my friend. I'm also dropping some truth bombs and actionable tips on how to move through it all – without resorting to hiding, quitting, or those bathroom floor cry-fests (though, hey, no judgment if a few tears sneak out). Grab your cozy blanket and let's get real about kicking anxiety and imposter syndrome to the curb.

How to Stop Overthinking and Start Taking Action (Even When You're Struggling)
This episode’s coming at you raw—from my couch, on my phone, with puffy eyes and a heavy heart. No fancy mic. Just me being real. Life hit hard today, and honestly? I almost didn’t hit record. But I’m glad I did, because if you’ve been stuck in your head, overthinking everything and doubting yourself, I want you to know you’re not alone. In this deeply personal episode, I walk you through three powerful takeaways from Lessons for Living by Phil Stutz (aka Jonah Hill’s therapist from the Netflix doc Stutz) that helped shift something in me today. We talk about how speed, density, and a 10-minute nightly review can pull you out of a spiral and get you moving—even if you’re struggling. Especially when you're struggling. Whether you’re lying on your couch feeling paralyzed or stuck in perfectionism mode, this is your permission to show up messy and take the tiniest step forward. You ready?

Raise Your Prices, Ditch the Guilt
Ever felt a wave of guilt the moment you raised your prices? Like you needed to over-explain, over-apologize, or just shrink yourself down entirely? You’re not alone — and this episode is exactly what you need to hear. In this candid conversation, I’m pulling back the curtain on one of my own price raise horror stories (hello anonymous hate email 👋), the emotional spiral that followed, and the hard-won realizations that helped me stop shrinking and start honoring my worth. If you’ve ever caught yourself emotionally discounting, whispering your prices, or fearing the fallout of charging more — we’re diving deep into the guilt, fear, and self-worth issues at the root of it all. This episode will leave you feeling empowered, clear, and (finally) unapologetic about running your business like the boss you are. Cozy socks recommended. 💁‍♀️

Handling Tough Client Conversations
That pit in your stomach when a client questions your prices or you finally raise them by $10 and get that dreaded email? I know that feeling all too well. In this episode, I'm taking you behind the scenes to a moment in my career when a small price increase led to a nasty anonymous email that hit me hard. It wasn't just the words, but how it played into that old story I was carrying – that as "just a hairstylist," I wasn't allowed to value myself or run a real business. Today, we're talking about the shame that creeps in when clients push back on our prices, why your self-worth has absolutely nothing to do with what someone else thinks you deserve to charge, and how to handle those tough client conversations with empathy, confidence, and a whole lot of integrity. If you've ever felt like raising your prices or implementing a policy might cost you your entire career, or like standing up for yourself makes you a bad person, this one's for you.
