Ep 13: What does it really mean to be mindful? Debunking the buzzword with Mindfulness Expert Ryan Lainchbury

Mindfulness is a pretty big buzz word these days, and one I've felt is thrown around without much consideration to the deeper meaning.

That's why I'm so excited for this episode, I'm bringing you the truth about the meaning behind the term, what it's link to spirituality is, and what mindfulness can actually do to help us become more aware, present, and happy beings.

I'm joined by Ryan Lainchbury, a freelance corporate trainer turned mindfulness teacher who runs 8 week mindfulness courses in MBSR (mindfulness based stress reduction), runs mindfulness in the workplace workshops, and whose mission is to make mindfulness more accessible to people both in their personal and professional lives, to equip them with ways of managing stress and cultivating a greater sense of mind body being.

We sit down and discuss everything mindfulness. What is it? What is it not? How can it help us process emotions and why it's not about being peaceful all the time!

I get open about an experience where mindfulness helped me get a hold of my emotions in a difficult situation and Ryan shares his top mindfulness practises for greater awareness.

I can't wait to hear your thoughts on this one!

What is the subconscious mind?

How can it help us get what we want in life?

This week I sit down with Mindset Coach Cara Hawkins to chat everything subconscious. Cara is an NLP coach who helps women unlock the power of their minds and heal their limiting beliefs and mindset to lead more fulfilling and confident lives.

Ep 10: What your emotions are trying to tell you & how I work through negative emotions

Hello my loves! It's been a couple of weeks but I'm so excited to be back sharing a new episode with you.

This is a topic I've been exploring a lot recently- what is the purpose of our emotions? What are they here to teach us? How can we work through our emotions in a positive, supportive way and deal with big emotions when they arise?

This episode covers the process I use when I feel frustrated, angry, sad, or just feel like there's something on my chest.

I answer what's the purpose of our emotions? How can we better use them to understand ourselves and gain clarity and guidance? How do we know when it's time to sit in an emotion and when it's time to look for solutions?

I really think this episode will help those who need it, and I look forward to hearing your thoughts on it!

If you're currently going through a period where your emotions feel consuming and heavy, or things just feel a bit much, I offer free 45 minute coaching sessions which you can book through the link here:

Ep 09: Can we avoid stress? How to be less stressed at work with breathwork coach Robin Gowen

Is it possible to avoid stress? Is it an inevitable part of life? How can we learn to cope with it better? And how do you know when you're burned out or just stressed?

These are the big questions we're asking on this week's episode. I'm so excited to be joined by breathwork and life coach Robin Gowen as we discuss everything stress and burnout in today's workplace.

She shares her personal journey with stress and how her dream job turned into a living nightmare as her people pleasing turned into an inability to set boundaries and led to complete burnout.

We talk about the difference between stress and burnout, and also the difference between stress and pressure- how pressure is often mistaken as stress but is actually the meaning we're putting on a situation rather than the situation itself.

Robin outlines the effects stress has on our nervous system and how we can use breathwork and other mindfulness practises to recenter ourselves and bring ourselves back to the parasympathetic nervous system.

More about Robin:

After 9years working in a corporate job, and a lifetime of anxiety. Robin was burned out and exhausted adding to that was severe anxiety. In 2020 started her journey to heal in that she found more holistic tools to calm the nervous system, shift mindset and have better happier days with better work/life balance.

She is a certified Soul purpose coach, certified breathwork facilitator and Reiki Master who offers 1:1 coaching, wellness workshops and breathwork sessions.

Ep 08: What are values and how can they lead us to our purpose? With psychological mindset coach Kate Hurst

Are you living in line with your values?

Values are fundamental to how we live our lives, they form the foundations of our decision making, relationships, career and even financial decisions. And most people don’t even know what theirs are!

They can also be the breadcrumbs to our purpose, as a way to get closer to fulfilment and alignment with what we’re meant to do with our lives. Basically, they’re pretty important!

I had the honour of sitting down with psychological coach Kate Hurst to dive deep into what values actually are, how we can find our values, and how we can use them to live more in line with our purpose, to have more fulfilling and connected lives.

Kate shares what her journey to coaching and how understanding her values helped shape this journey. We talk about comfort zones, how to break out of them, and how sometimes taking a step back is needed in order to leap forward.

I ask her how we can find our values, what values are and what role they play in helping us find purpose.

Do we only have one set of values our whole life?

Can our values change?

How do I find out what my values are?

Where do my values come from?

This episode is packed full of wisdom and insight, and I’m so excited for you to listen.

Ep 07: How to live with more love

Welcome back gorgeous souls.

This week's episode is all about love, love love! We're not talking about relationships or just the emotion of love, we're talking about love as a STATE OF BEING.

How can we consciously cultivate love in our everyday experience?

Why is it important to live with more love? What is there to be gained?

How can we raise our vibration to be more in tune with love?

Love is more than something we feel for things, places and people. It's a frequency we can tap into, and it can be so powerful for the collective conscious of the planet. Love is a powerful source, and I hope this episode leaves you feeling more connected to the part of yourself that's inherently loving.

Some follow-up journal prompts:

  • What makes me feel loved in my life?
  • How can I show myself more love?
  • In what ways do I show my love to others?
  • What do I LOVE about my life?
  • In what areas of my life am I not showing love for myself?
  • How could I show myself more love in those areas?

For the girls ready to enter their glow era… I’ve just launched GLOW sessions!

Ep 06: Redefining self-love with women's NLP coach Sophie French

Ever found self-love to be a bit.... fluffy? Me too. Let's de-fluff self-love and get tangible about what it actually means to practise self-love, both in the physical body and our mind, and how a self-love journey can also be the path to self-trust, and lead to us being more connected to our purpose, our choices and values.

This week I'm joined by the ray of sunshine that is Sophie French, a women's coach and creative mentor who supports women to find their soul gifts and share them with the world. She loves working with quietly defiant creatives, artists and biz owners to create a life of freedom and abundance.

In this episode we discuss everything RADICAL self-love. Sophie get vulnerable and shares her personal journey in this department, how her relationship to herself was so severely damaged by her adolescent experiences that she began mentally self-destructing, and how she managed to reclaim and define her damaged self-esteem and confidence to a place where she feels completely in tune, connected to, trusting and LOVING of her body and mind.

We also get controversial about body neutrality and our personal thoughts on whether the idea of body neutrality is a helpful idea, or whether it can lead to avoidance and numbness when it comes to our connection to our bodies.

Sophie also some of her favourite self-love practises that help keep her in tune and EMBODIED in her physical being, and how her journey began through tackling her self-destruction in the mind and ended in an embodied and powerful naked photoshoot in Bali!

This episode is for anyone who is ready to reclaim their identity, and nurture their relationship to themselves.

I hope you enjoy.

Ep 05: Mindfulness vs. spirituality & what it means to accept the present

Welcome back my loves!!

This week's episode is a bit of a different one, it's brought to you in a field and it's a much more chilled and chatty one. I discuss my thoughts on embodiment, and what it means to actually embark on a spiritual path vs. how modern media dresses it up.

I also chat about the differences I see between mindfulness and spirituality, what accepting the present moment actually means, and how we can both accept something, and still want to change it.

We also get clear on what it looks like to commit to a self-development / healing journey, how it's a commitment to showing up for yourself, and what you can learn about from your interactions with the outside world- essentially how spirituality is more than just meditating! I open up about some of my triggers, and how they've led shed a light on my areas for growth.

I'm excited for you to listen to this one, it's vulnerable, open and honest.

Thank you for being here, and don't forget to review if you loved 🤍

Ep 04: What is NLP and how can it transform your life?

What in the world is NLP and how can it help me?!

There's one question people ask when they hear I'm an NLP coach… what the hell is that?! Well today you’re gonna find out….

In this week’s episode I’m joined by Nick Reed Robbins, a master trainer and NLP coach from Reed Robbins Performance Solutions, a breakthrough NLP coaching and training academy, and we sit down to answer allll your questions about NLP!

We discuss what it stands for, who is was developed by and what it is at it’s core. We dive deep into the ways it helped Nick heal a 20 year sleep issue that almost ended his life, and how he went from being the victim in his life with little to no confidence or self-esteem, to an award-winning coach, master trainer of NLP, business owner and speaker.

We discuss how NLP is related to spirituality, and how it can be provide a practical toolkit for connecting better to your inner child, healing ancestral trauma, and helping you become more present in your day to day.

It was an honour to sit down with someone who has had such an impact on my own healing journey. NLP was the turning point for me, before training in it I understood a lot of spiritual concepts but had no idea how to actually implement them into my life to live better. NLP gave me that the tools to start transforming, which is why I’m so excited to be bringing you this episode, because I genuinely think it can help so many in living with more presence, contentment and fulfillment.

Nick Reed-Robbins comprises half of Reed-Robbins Performance Solutions alongside his partner Jess and together they teach NLP to others through their foundation, practitioner and master practitioner trainings.

If you’ve heard of inner child healing but have never really known what it is and how to do it, this episode’s for you!

This week I’m joined by my fellow DCI graduate Megan Waldron, she’s a soul purpose and spiritual life coach, starseed and leader for the next generation of consciousness, and is on a mission to help people reconnect to their inner child, unlock their full potential and step into their purpose.

Be prepared to connect with your inner child in this juicy ep.
