In this episode I share the importance of acknowledging our emotions. It can be difficult to control what we're feeling in the "heat of the moment". Many of us are used to suppressing our emotions and lose control when they creep up during unexpected circumstances. An example is when a relationship ends badly or someone walks out on us with no closure. A lot of thoughts run through our mind: negative self-talk, sadness, anxiety, etc. By being aware of our emotions, can help better control our actions moving forward.

Society will judge you on the status that you hold (janitor, businessman, stay-at-home parent, educator, etc.) This limits people on speaking out and advocating for what they believe in because one does not have an educational background. Education should not limit an individual to speak out and use their voice. In this episode, I talk about how nothing in your life will ever be perfect, so embrace the person you are, and what you are given in this life.

In this episode, I talk about how it's unfair for others and yourself to be living in the past when you should be focusing on the present. This can damage future relationships, projects, and life experiences if you're always talking about how good the past was (I remember when..those were the good ol' days). It's hard thinking about the next big thing in our life when we're constantly stuck living in the past. Ask yourself, what types of conversations are you having with people? Learning to advocate for yourself goes a long way. Using your voice and being open comes with battles. It can feel lonely and discouraging when other people don't understand. In some way, we've all experienced someone who is narcissistic, this can feel like we are being attacked. Picking and choosing your battles will give you a peace of mind.
