A note from Inspire: TW This episode discusses eating disorders.

Today's guest is a mum of 3, freelance journalist, owner of the UK's most popular homeschooling blog, business owner and hugely influenTial TikToker who is probably best known for her channel 'Hannah Home Educates'.

Hannah started off her career working in a pupil referral unit, teaching children with severe emotional and behavioural difficulties which is where her passion for gentle parenting and homeschooling began.

But how did she build this career?

From growing up in a 'normal' family and school education, Hannah developed an eating disorder aged 11 - partly due to the pressure she felt academically, which she then suffered with for 17 years up and says that despite being a single mother to three children - it is "by far the hardest thing she has ever had to recover from"

From always knowing she wanted to be a Mum, Hannah went travelling with her 3 children aged just 6, 5 and 2 - after hearing that 'your life stops when you have kids' - as she says "the fastest way to make me do something, is tell me I can't do it".

From a dream trip to Bali - somewhere she had planned to permanently relocate - to her 5 year old daughter surviving a horrific brain injury and then an earthquake - Hannah now lives in the UK with her 3 daughters.

In 2020, along with another home educating parent, she set up Curious Little Monkeys Educational Resources, a home education and fun learning resource company and uses her platform to help and inspire other parents.

EPISODE 23 | Mart Tweedy | Life TRANSFORMED through crystals & manifestation - the ultimate 'how to'

Mart Tweedy is a wellbeing and Law of Attraction practitioner, successful business owner and no1 podcast host from Newcastle upon Tyne.

Just 18 months ago, he was working for the NHS and left to launch Canny Crystals, an online "one stop shop for everything spiritual" which has been wildly successful. Just 3 months after leaving his full time job, Mart's online shop made in one month, his previous annual salary from the NHS, and most recently, the same amount in one DAY.

Mart’s passion is teaching holistic healing by way of using meditation, crystal therapies and visualisation to awaken what lies dormant in each one of us.

His number one Podcast, 'Canny Crystals: Manifestation, Mindset and Spirituality' is listened to by thousands each week and is described as a "self-help audiobook for modern day living”.

But where did it all start?

  • From humble beginnings, growing up without much money, hiding his sexuality until he was 16 and being bullied at school - Mart said he had 'no vision' for his life, and started off working on the fish counter in a supermarket because going to university was something he didn't think was possible for someone with his background.
  • From discovering the Law of Attraction back in 2016 by reading The Secret by Rhonda Byrne, Mart knew it was something he could use to change his life and decided to test the theory - but life got in the way and 3 years later he was struggling to make ends meet and decided to start using visualisation again to try and change his life...
  • From suffering with his mental health following the sudden death of someone closest to him, on one of the biggest nights of his career - Mart started using crystals to help him deal with his grief through the most serendipitous of circumstances...
  • From quitting his job in the NHS one year after launching his business, the following month, Mart received ZERO orders - the ultimate test from the universe on what was to happen next...

Mart's story from humble beginnings where he said he had 'no vision' for his life, to running a successful online business helping thousands of people each year heal through crystals is the ultimate example of how you start out doesn't have to determine your future.

Taking a leap of faith, hard work and ultimately believing in yourself can take you to places that would otherwise not have been written in your destiny.

This episode will leave you feeling hopeful, inspired and uplifted.

Listen to this episode if:

You are unsure of your life's path or don't believe your dreams are possible for you.

Todays guest is the UK's leading voice in Law of Attraction. She is an award-winning life coach, 3x bestselling author of her books Positively Wealthy and Hurt, Healing, Healed, Manifestation YouTuber, speaker and podcast host of the #1 Spirituality podcast on iTunes 'Spiritual Queen's Badass Podcast' with over 2 million downloads.

Her work helps you turn your dream life into an abundant reality using the Law of Attraction and spirituality.

But where did this profound ability to help and speak to others come from?

From growing up in a 'normal' home, as a teenager and young adult Emma experience depression and anxiety and couldn't understand why. There was nothing obvious she could pinpoint as to the explanation behind her feelings and behaviour. Until one day in therapy she uncovered trauma she had suppressed as a child revealed her childhood had not been what she perceived it to be.

From leaving school and falling into a career in banking, Emma realised that sales pressure and putting people into debt was not something she aligned with and along the way she wound up at 20 years old, moving backing her parents after a relationship breakdown where she had amassed £7,000 of her ex partners debt.

From discovering extreme couponing as a way to get herself out of debt, she was encouraged to start sharing the possibilities online by her friends - which started a journey for her in the online business space but whilst she was successful on the outside, earning 6 figures and presenting a segment on This Morning - her depression and anxiety was still at the forefront of her life.

From an emotionally abusive relationship ending, a simple google search for "how to turn a negative into a positive" Emma unknowingly discovered Louise Hay, the Law of Attraction and her spiritual awakening began...

Emma's story really is the epitome of taking trauma and the hardest things we can go through, to transforming them into your power.

EPISODE 19 | Nicola Elliott | How a burnt out journalist, built the UK’s no.1 wellness brand from her kitchen sink

Our guest today is the co-founder of one of the leading wellbeing brands in the UK and beyond, NEOM organics.

Having worked 60-hour weeks in her career as a journalist, Nicola Elliott came to a point where she realised the lifestyle she was living was impacting her sleep, energy and mood.

Recognising that something needed to change, she decided to take control of her wellbeing.

So how did this lead to the birth of NEOM? What were the lightbulb moments which led her to huge success in the wellbeing industry and where she is today?

From growing up as a ‘naughty’ child, pushing the boundaries and questioning everything, Nicola recognises how these traits can be used for good and believes in going for the things you are good at rather than working double as hard on things you aren’t good at.

From suffering anxiety at age 35 and going to therapy, Nicola realised that when it came to wellbeing, lots of people didn’t know where to start, which led to her wanting to create a brand which focused on the 4 pillars of health that she noticed many of her peers suffering with.

From a realisation that both herself and those around her were suffering from some kind of stress, lack of sleep, poor energy or mood imbalance, Nicola teamed up with friend Oliver Mennell to launch NEOM in 2005.

Nicola’s story and advice is subtle yet powerful, and believes that confidence isn’t about not questioning yourself, getting things wrong or not seeing your flaws, and believes “it would be crazy to think you would be perfect at anything” so knowing that you don’t have to be perfect gives you the confidence to take action.

Listen to this episode if:

  • You want to build confidence
  • You want to focus on your own wellbeing
  • You love the idea of building a brand but don’t know where to start
  • You have a side hustle and want to know the behind the scenes of what creates a successful business

EPISODE 18 | Javeno Mclean | The power of PERSPECTIVE "a bad day for us is paradise for someone else"

Today’s guest really is one in a million.

“I discovered Javeno one night whilst I was scrolling on Instagram, and instantly connected with the work he was doing because of my brother Graeme. Having grown up with a severely disabled brother, I know the importance and how special the work is that Javeno does day in day out. I probably watched nearly all of the videos he’d posted on Instagram and just knew I had to get him on Inspire. I may have discovered him slightly too late but I know my brother would have absolutely LOVED Javeno and everything he does, and know that everyone he works with will be forever impacted by his energy and influence”

Javeno Mclean started off his career as a professional cricket player, before finding his true calling on a trip to India where he stood in for the coach and realised his true passion was in giving to others.

To say this is something he has since done in abundance would be an understatement. Javeno went on to retrain as a Personal trainer, and has become a community champion and owner of the award winning J7 Health Centre in Manchester.

His story and journey is the epitome of dedication and passion, and he is best known for his inspirational, life changing personal training with the disabled, sick and elderly in his community.

From a dream written down on a piece of paper in his Mum's kitchen, to J7 health facility being born - a one floor gym where anyone could come and train and feel welcome. Javeno believes "exercise is for all" and J7's mission is clear "Every single person has the ability and potential to exercise to a somewhat challenging and enjoyable level in relation to their skill capabilities, fitness and physical attributes."

From his first exercise class where just one person showed up - a lady called Brenda - Javneo carried on showing up for 5 months with just Brenda attending, to having classes that are now attended by 140 people a week.

From building his social media to over 1.5 million followers across all platforms, Javeno's message is spreading far and wide across the globe. His unique gift is seeing the beauty in people "even if they don't see it themselves" and is on a mission to change the way we see ourselves and others.

Javeno’s story truly is remarkable, and one that we can all learn from, showing us exactly what is possible when we see the potential in others and do our best to empower them. Javeno believes energy is everything and displays this tenfold in this incredible and moving episode.

Sarah Dunning’s story is one of total transformation. She is not the same person as she was 15 years ago. Sarah’s story will INSPIRE you and show you that with unwavering belief, hard work and commitment to personal growth anything is possible.

So what did Sarah’s transformation look like?

  • With dreams of dancing professionally but her audition self talk being “I am never going to get this’, her confidence grew when she landed her first West Endmusical contract. But one chiropractor appointment later….everything changed, her career and identity as a dancer was over.
  • From saying Yes to a business opportunity and feeling excited, knowing that this ‘thing’ was going to change her life, yet 12 months in not one personbelieved in her vision. No one believed in her. So she got to work...on herself.
  • It took 4 months of hypnotherapy to be able to speak at her first public speaking event but years later when asked to speak at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas in front of 20000 people, her negative self talk was tamed, she was calm, composed and delivered trusting that, “the universe has my back”.

EPISODE 14 | Karl Willett | "you should walk out that house in the outfit you wish to die in"
Karl Willett is a top international stylist having worked in the fashion industry for 20 years building a vibrant portfolio of celebrity clients including Amanda Holden, Kylie Minogue, Jennifer Hudson, Paloma Faith, Nicole Scherzinger, Jessie J and Beverley Knight. He is also a happily married, family man with ‘miracle’ twin boys being born by surrogacy.Karl has the family, a career that he loves, status and recognition, friends and connections, but what did it take to get to this point? From having no styling experience but securing a 2 week internship at Selfridges and then landing his first celebrity client through a freelance contact. To styling and building Paloma Faith into a brand and fashion icon, Karl’s strategy of fake it till you make it, take risks and hustle hard paid off. Behind the illusion of seamless, “fun, glitz and glamour”, is the reality of working in a competitive industry where you don’t show weaknesses and with in-demand clients, where you assist and style rather than burden. When Karl struggled mentally and felt “nothing was good enough” he knew he had to make changes. Karl envisioned being a dad before meeting his husband but that certainty became hope as they searched the globe for a surrogate. After one failed pregnancy and 19 weeks into the second, when one of the twins' sacks ruptured, hope dwindled and despair unfolded until week 35 when both baby boys were born healthy. • From dropping out of business school because it was boring, to wanting connection rather than a sales pitch at networking events, when she started a Facebook group for mums in business and it grew to 17000 in the first few months, she knew she had identified a pain point that resonated.
  • Leona built a successful business with 300 networking events a month, then in just 4 weeks, her business, friendship and trust of some members imploded. She had to start again…

EPISODE 12 | DJ Fat Tony | Abuse, addiction and self-destruction to recovery and redemption

From a council estate in Battersea to DJ’ing for A-list celebrities and royalty, today’s guest is not short of jaw dropping stories of his eclectic life. Grateful to still be alive after 28 years of addiction, DJ Fat Tony shares all in his powerful, hilarious and eye-opening Sunday Times best selling memoir, ‘I don’t take requests’. From his first steps into Heaven nightclub at 16, his whole life changed, music “has the ability to take you wherever you want it to take you,” it really is ,“the best drug in the world”.So how did Fat Tony become the iconic British DJ that we know today?

  • From losing his childhood innocence when a youth worker groomed and sexually abused him, “because I didn’t talk about out it, I thought I had dealt with it”, to later recognising that talking about trauma allows you to process it and “that deals with it”.
  • From going through life believing his dad hated him because of his experiences in childhood, it took a court case, an ankle tag and sobriety on both parts to talk, listen and find peace. The biggest realisation being, that love for him was there all along.
  • From being open about his sexuality from a young age and socialising in iconic circles to experiencing a “pitchfork and torch” scenario when the aids pandemic took hold, causing 85% of his peers to tragically pass and his mental health to spiral.
  • From chaotic, drug fuelled behaviour being glorified and allowed because “I was making people money,” but when he started looking forward to the idea of dying an unexpected tap on the shoulder and a familiar face asking “what happened to you,” was a moment that would save his life.

DJ Fat Tony’s story is one of overcoming the odds whilst still being unapologetically himself. At 57, he is forward focused and excited about all the possibilities ahead of him powerfully sharing, “there is life after addiction”.Listen to this episode if:

  • you have struggled with addiction or considering sobriety.
  • you have a difficult relationship with a parent.

  • you are a performance type artist that experiences anxiety or nerves.

EPISODE 11 | Dr Aseem Malhotra | “it’s not safe to speak the truth, but it’s even less safe not to”

When public figures share an unpopular opinion, in recent years, it has become increasingly known to result in media smear campaigns and a culture of cancelling the person from the spotlight. On the other hand, what if this ‘unpopular opinion’ is in fact evidence based medical research written by Dr Aseem. A top British Cardiologist and published researcher in the British Medical Journal whose life’s work has been dedicated to giving back to society and helping people through medicine within the NHS.

From a top cardiologist with outstanding patient care to travelling the world sharing his message of “how can we make medicine great again”, how did Dr Aseem get to this point?

  • From investigating the issue of sugar and finding current EU guidelines to be detrimental to health, to facing major pushbacks after calling out an industry “that were profiting from lying to people”.
  • From publishing research on the overuse of Statins, advocating for lifestyle changes and eating real food to receiving a letter stating, “we have decided to cut your fellowship short”.
  • From falling victim to a slander campaign written in the Mail on Sunday when the UK health minister’s words were used out of context. Then being ‘cancelled’ from his job by text saying, “your services are no longer required”, Dr Aseem continues advocating for ethical evidence based medical practice.
  • From appearing on Good Morning Britain assuring viewers “traditional vaccines are the safest”, to seeing the evidence and alarming links between MRNA vaccines and heart disease, as well as first hand in his father’s passing, he now passionately advocates for laws to be changed.

With cancel culture and smear campaigns increasing in frequency and fear of backlash if you do speak out, a final note from Dr Aseem, “it’s not always safe to speak the truth but it’s even less safe to not speak the truth”.

Listen to this episode if:

  • you wonder why people are getting sicker despite modern medicine.
  • you value the NHS and it’s longevity.
  • you are ‘for’ speaking the truth despite possible pushbacks.
  • you’re an ordinary person wanting to lead a long healthy life.
