EPI 046 [TEE TALK] Fall-ing for Sleep, Rest, + Recovery
I have a short + sweet episode for everyone today.

We are FALL-ing into a new season now that fall is here, and I want to talk about something extremely important–rest, sleep, + recovery. Now, you might be thinking “This isn’t the first time she’s talked about this” and you’re right! It’s not! And, it’s not going to be my last, either!

Everyone is looking for that quick fix to feel better, and we often look for it in the wrong places. I’m here to tell you (and many others who are WAY more qualified to talk about this than me) that your answer is REST + SLEEP. This is literally the best and only way your body can recover.

Key Takeaways:
  • Happy Fall!
  • What is Rest?
  • Traditional vs. Non-Traditional Self-Care
  • The Importance of Sleep

Then, I’m ending the episode by asking you: “What is one goal you have for the fall when it comes to your rest or your sleep habits?”

Remember–rest + recovery should RETURN your energy, not continue to drain energy from you.

If you’re interested in the RISE Sleep app, check it out here.

EPI 041 [TEE TALK] Dealing with Change, Anxiety, and Trust
First things first: I NEED YOUR HELP!

The one-year anniversary of the show is coming up in November, and I’m already starting to plan something BIG! As a result, I need your help to answer this one question for me: what is one thing you are really struggling with in your work/life balance? DM me on IG to share your answer!

Now - into today’s episode! I’m here this week with a Tee Talk as we reach the end of August and bring on September. For a lot of people, the month of September typically brings about a lot of change, whether in your career, your schedule, with kids going back to school, and the seasons changing.

That’s why I’m bringing forward some unfiltered honesty and advice–when it comes to change, it’s better to ride the wave down than to swim upstream. Then, we talk about anxiety vs. change based on a quote I saw recently on Instagram by @wordsarevibrations.

Key Takeaways:
  • I need your help!
  • Change is Constant
  • Swimming Upstream
  • Perspective is Everything
  • Anxiety vs. Trust

About Kristine Munro:

Kristine Munro is the Founder and Intuitive Community Builder of The Illume Collective and the host of the Pivot to Passion podcast. Her journey started 15 years ago in Finance & Real Estate. She built a 7-Figure, award-winning business and though she had outward success and recognition, she felt unaligned, knowing deep down she was meant for more. Despite her fear, she left it all to start from scratch following her own heart and purpose. On her path of self-discovery, Kristine leaned into mind, body, and soul practices to tap into her own intuition which led her to find her passion for building a community for female entrepreneurs to connect on a deeper level, easy access to mentors and all the support they need to pursue their big dreams. Kristine is a certified Reiki Practitioner, and Life/Business Coach, mentoring women entrepreneurs to illuminate the fire within themselves and live out what they were meant to do. Kristine is a proud wife and mom of two. Her top priority is being a role model for them to show them that there are no limits to what they can achieve.

EPI 039 [TEE TALK] Taking Advantage of August + Your Inner Wisdom
If you wish to solve all of your problems all at once, this episode is for you. This conversation has really come up often in my conversations with guests, loved ones, and friends recently, so I thought it was time to address it!

I wish I could snap my fingers and everything would be resolved and I would be “happy.” But, unfortunately, it just doesn’t work that way. Instead, maybe the REAL solution is shifting our perspectives to listen to the inner wisdom trying to guide us one step at a time–and we discuss what this looks like in this episode.

Key Takeaways:
  • August Intentions
  • Solving problems all at once
  • Listen to your inner wisdom
  • One step at a time
  • Staying in the present

If you want a copy of Brianna Wiest’s The Pivot Year, buy it here!

The passage from today’s episode is on Day 97 and it says:
  • Your inner wisdom isn’t supposed to give you every answer to your entire life, but to show you to the next right step. You are not supposed to be able to intuit every turn the road may take, because that would defeat the entire purpose of being here; that would defeat the entire purpose of being alive. Nobody–not one of us–knows everything that might unfold. Our job is not to get better at predicting, projecting, or becoming attached to uncertain possibilities, but having sincere faith that what we know needs to happen next is the key that eventually unlocks everything we’ve been waiting for, everything we’ve ever wanted to be. - Brianna Wiest, The Pivot Year

EPI 034 [TEE TALK] Life/Work Balance + The #1 Ranked Country for Balance
Happy Hump Day, gang!

Today, I’m back with another Tee Talk where I’m focusing on two topics:
  1. The idea of life/work balance (yes, you read that right)
  2. The country ranked #1 for work/life balance

The idea of life-work balance means that, maybe, we should stop putting the “work” part of work/life balance FIRST, and instead, put the “life” first! Interestinggggg - I talk about how this perspective can be game-changing for us!

Then, I talk about a brand-new study that came out recently that ranked the best countries for work/life balance. I tell you the top 10 rated countries, why it’s important, and what we can do about it.

Key Takeaways:
  • What is life/work balance?
  • Global work/life balance
  • Your perspective changes your experience
  • Your controllables
You can’t control and change the world overnight, but you can control and change YOUR life/work. I end this episode with a new challenge for you that’s going to make difference in your life bucket–will you do it?!

If you want to read the article about Remote’s study on work/life balance, you can find it here.
