The Vulnerability Project Podcast
Stop Looking. I’m Not Your Secret Anymore.

In this episode, Kass Gomez opens up about the moment she stopped protecting the man who broke her and finally started protecting herself.
After years of silence, betrayal, and self-blame, she’s reclaiming her voice — not to expose anyone, but to free herself from the weight of secrets she never deserved to carry.

It’s not about revenge. It’s about regulation.
It’s about learning the difference between love and surveillance.
And it’s about remembering that closure doesn’t always come through a conversation — sometimes, it’s a boundary.

Listen as Kass shares her story of betrayal, boundaries, and becoming the woman who will never again be anyone’s secret.

She reflects on what it means to be watched instead of loved, to protect others while abandoning yourself, and to finally say, “Enough.”

This conversation explores:
• Emotional boundaries after betrayal
• Nervous system regulation and codependency
• Turning pain into personal power
• The freedom of choosing truth over image

Because sometimes closure isn’t found in their apology — it’s found in your own voice.

Take a deep breath. Inhale truth. Exhale pain. You’re notalone in this. You’re growing. You’re becoming. And every time someone tries to break you — remember, it’s only shaping you into your higher self.

The Vulnerability Project Podcast
The Unbroken Conversations: Closure Comes From You

In this raw, unfiltered episode of The Vulnerability Project Podcast, I bring back Letters to Kass—your questions about love, heartbreak, and the truths we ignore when we want someone to change. I share what it was like to find an old 2019 blog post about “The Situationship,” the gut-punch realization that I saw the signs back then, and why closure rarely comes from the other person—it comes from awareness, self-forgiveness, and ritual.

We talk attachment styles, avoidance, emotional abuse, honesty, boundaries, nervous-system regulation, and grief. I answer a few of your questions: what emotions still linger, what I’d do differently now, and how I practice healing as a daily practice (gym, journaling, cacao, oracle pulls, and yes—making my bed every morning). If you’re ready to stop rereading the same chapter, this one’s for you.

The Vulnerability Project Podcast
Betrayal, Boundaries & Becoming Her: Healing Through Integrity and Karma

When life starts revealing what you didn’t want to see —about people you trusted, loved, or believed in — the only thing left to do is speak your truth.

In this deeply personal episode, Kass opens up about betrayal, loss, and the painful but powerful lessons that come with standing integrity. From the 11-year “situationship” that taught her about emotional trauma to the friend who mirrored the same patterns of deceit, Kass reflects on how life will keep sending you the same test until you stop betraying yourself.

She dives into: - The emotional toll of betrayal and how it lives in the body - The importance of moral compass, accountability, and personal boundaries - Why honest communication — even when it hurts — is the truest act of love - How karma, intuition, and spiritual alignment always reveal the truth in time - The becoming — stepping into the woman who no longer needs to be chosen to know her worth

This is an episode about choosing integrity over comfort, honesty over convenience, and peace over pretending. Because doing the right thing — even when you’re the one who gets hurt — is what sets you free.

Take a deep breath. Inhale truth. Exhale pain. You’re not alone in this. You’re growing. You’re becoming. And every time someone tries to break you — remember, it’s only shaping you into your higher self.

The Vulnerability Project Podcast
The Language of Healing: Learning to Communicate Through the Pain

In this episode, I open up about a feeling that’s been sitting in my chest — the ache of letting go of what I thought I had with my situationship, and the uncomfortable truth that it was never what I believed it to be.

While visiting my best friend in Chicago, I found myself reflecting on connection — what it means, how it breaks, and how it heals. And then, out of nowhere, a guy I hadn’t talked to in years slid into my DMs. Old me might’ve used that as a distraction. But this time, it became something deeper — a mirror for how much I’ve grown.

We talk, we flirt, we disagree on things (hello, Florida politics), and yet I noticed something powerful: I wasn’t shrinking myself to be liked anymore. I was showing up as me — honest, grounded, and aware of what I value.

This conversation became less about him and more about how communication reveals who we’ve become.
How honesty — with ourselves and others — builds the foundation for trust.
How the way we listen, speak, and hold boundaries shapes every connection we have.

If you’ve ever found yourself replaying old conversations, wondering what you could’ve said differently — or trying to unlearn the habit of silencing yourself just to keep the peace — this episode is for you.

Let’s talk about verbal, emotional, and conscious communication — and what it really means to show up for yourself and others with truth, compassion, and courage.

The Vulnerability Project Podcast
You Are Not Your Attachment Style: IFS, Healing, and Hard Truths

In this heartfelt episode, Kass dives deep into the world of attachment styles through the lens of Internal Family Systems (IFS). She shares why attachment isn’t who you are—it’s simply how your nervous system learned to survive love, loss, and connection.

Kass also gets real about the debate on whether dismissive traits can cause emotional harm, why labeling without accountability is dangerous, and how repeating patterns in relationships may cross into emotional abuse when awareness meets avoidance. Through her own stories of heartbreak, healing, and honest self-reflection, she illustrates how IFS helps reframe anxious, avoidant, or dismissive behaviors not as flaws—but as protective strategies shaped by our earliest wounds.

You’ll learn:

  • Why attachment styles are maps, not identities

  • How IFS “parts” (Exiles, Managers, Firefighters) show up in relationships

  • Why accountability and communication matter more than excuses

  • How healing work creates compassion—for others and yourself

  • The power of nervous system regulation practices like breathwork, sound, and yoga

This conversation is raw, vulnerable, and full of practical wisdom to help you understand your patterns, release shame, and step into healthier ways of relating—with yourself and with others.

The Vulnerability Project Podcast
When the Work Becomes Real: Public Speaking, Announcement, Motherhood & Mental Health

In this episode, I share what it was really like to walk into that room—nerves, negative self-talk, dancing it out in the car beforehand, and all. You’ll hear how we used body scanning, breathwork, affirmations, and journaling to move through stress responses, and how vibrant touches (like flowers filling the space) made the experience even more healing. The women’s “aha” moments reminded me why I do this work: to help others untangle the “whys,” release old wounds, and reclaim their power.

I also reflect on the bigger picture—how years of personal healing, trauma therapy, and hard lessons are now showing up in ways I once only dreamed about. For so long, I imagined myself on stages sharing my story, giving people tools to survive and thrive, and now it’s happening. This is just the beginning of where Inspired Warrior Project is going: more speaking, more connection, more growth, and more healing spaces for all of society’s warriors.

Inside this episode, you’ll hear about:

  • My first workshop experience and the lessons it brought.

  • How attachment styles, core values, and love languages all connect.

  • The role of flowers, music, and movement in shifting energy and creating joy.

  • Why negative self-talk can be our biggest enemy—and how to shift it.

  • The importance of self-prioritization, boundaries, and compassion in healing.

And, a BIG announcement —The Vulnerability Project Podcast is now streaming on multiple platforms! You can now listen (and share!) on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Amazon Music, and iHeartRadio. This move means more accessibility, more community, and more opportunities to grow together.

So, whether you’re here for the attachment style series, the raw stories, or the healing tools, thank you for tuning in. This journey is about all of us—choosing ourselves, breaking cycles, and showing up as the warriors we are meant to be.

The Vulnerability Project Podcast
Attachment Styles, Core Values, & Choosing Yourself

In this raw and vulnerable episode of The Vulnerability Project Podcast, Kass Gomez opens up about her very first solo camping trip — and the life-changing realizations that came with it. Armed with a journal, a box of Cinnamon Toast Crunch, and a copy of Attached by Amir Levine and Rachel Heller, Kass reflects on how anxious, avoidant, and secure attachment styles shape the way we love and connect.

From her long-term “Situationship” to the patterns of grasping for love, Kass dives deep into the ways our upbringing, nervous system, and unhealed trauma influence how we show up in relationships. She shares personal stories of loss, heartbreak, and reactivity — and how those moments revealed her deepest needs: loyalty, respect, vulnerability, communication, and honesty.

Through the lens of core values and love languages, Kass highlights how unmet needs can lead to grasping, shutting down, or lashing out — and how awareness creates space for healing. She explores the hard truths of loving someone avoidant while being anxiously attached, and the powerful choice to stop chasing love and instead choose yourself.

This episode isn’t just about theory — it’s about lived experience. Kass invites listeners to journal on their own values, reflect on their attachment style, and consider where they may be waiting for someone else to choose them instead of stepping into self-worth.

✨ Inside this episode, you’ll learn:

  • The three main attachment styles (anxious, avoidant, secure) and how they show up in love.
  • Why your core values and love languages are essential in building healthy connections.
  • How childhood wounds and upbringing create the foundation for adult relationships.
  • The importance of choosing yourself — and why it’s not selfish, it’s sacred.
  • Practical reflection prompts to begin your own journey of healing.

Whether you’re healing from a situationship, breaking patterns of anxious attachment, or simply learning to honor your own values, this episode will remind you that you’re not too much, your needs are valid, and you are worthy of love that aligns with who you truly are.

👉 Tune in, grab your journal, and explore what it means to stop grasping and start choosing yourself.

The Vulnerability Project Podcast
From Eviction to Awakening: My Raw Return to the Mic

After nearly a year away, Kass returns to The Vulnerability Project Podcast with raw honesty, sharing why she’s been gone and the life-altering events that shaped her absence. She opens up about the intense personal, emotional, and spiritual journey she’s been on since her last episode on Halloween, when she declared that “Medusa was stepping out” and fully embraced her Kundalini awakening — even marking it with a symbolic chest tattoo.

Over the past year, Kass navigated a whirlwind of change: the heartbreak of rehoming her dog, an eviction triggered by a friend’s actions, legal battles, the grief of losing her male best friend unexpectedly, and the emotional toll of back-to-back losses — nine deaths since 2018. She reflects on the compounded grief, the depression that followed, and how survival mode from her past in foster care resurfaced during these transitions.

Through it all, she’s found lessons in boundaries, letting go of relationships that hinder growth, embracing the unpredictable flow of life, and deepening self-awareness. She candidly discusses how grief can be scheduled, anger is often tied to sadness, and shadow work can show up through close relationships.

Now, feeling grounded again, Kass is diving back into coaching, somatic work, and upcoming episodes — including one on attachment styles, a recurring theme with her clients. She leaves listeners with a reminder: it’s okay to fall apart, as long as you rise again, and to take ownership of your part in life’s challenges.

This is a comeback steeped in vulnerability, resilience, and the unwavering commitment to personal growth — a powerful re-entry into the conversations that The Vulnerability Project is known for.

Stories of Strength about Vulnerability, Healing, and Personal Growth with Natalie Lamb

Natalie Lambs and I share our experiences and insights on approaching life's challenges with vulnerability and resilience. W speak about the importance of creating a safe space for individuals to share their stories and heal, and prioritizing personal growth through mindset work, nutrition, and movement. Vulnerability is a strength that requires courage and authenticity, and can help heal others when shared openly. We also discuss the emotional challenges of parenting and the importance of direct communication in relationships, while emphasizing the need for self-awareness and validation in personal growth.

Bio: Natalie Lamb has the vision to equip people with the power to change their lives, to teach them to choose purpose, freedom, and love. ‘It’s Your Choice’ to choose beauty or misery; love or hate; being bound or free, but nonetheless you choose. This is her purpose with each word she speaks; she speaks to give life and healing into people’s lives.

Natalie started her coaching business in 2007 called “It’s Your Choice ”. This company offers one-on-one coaching, classes, workshops, and retreats in marriage, parenting, personal and spiritual development. She also has preventive classes and seminars to instruct the public about the most dangerous people. She created Child Predator seminars, which educate adults on the manipulative skills of sexual predators and bring awareness to child sexual abuse as well as cybercrimes and sex trafficking. Natalie also teaches Dangerous Men and Women, teaching others the 8 types of men and women to stay away from. In conjunction, she created a seminar, The Disturbed, to teach the masses about those without conscience or low conscience. She also added a series called The Slavery Effect that highlights the historic beauty and the struggles of being Black in America.

After the death of her mother in 2002, in her need to grieve and heal she realized how ill-equipped we are as a society with grieving. This led her to research the grieving practices of indigenous people as well as receive a certificate in grief counseling. Natalie now holds monthly meetings for grieving hearts. Our tragedies can lead to healing for others.

At the age of 15, she was introduced to what she would finally embrace as her calling; my God-given ability to listen without judgment and offer assistance to help ease others’ pain. She attended California State University, Los Angeles. In 1996, she graduated with her Bachelors of Arts degree in Sociology with an emphasis in Children and Family. She was then certified as a Parent and Personal Development educator. For over 25 years, she has created and taught Parenting, Pre-Marital, and Marriage classes, as well as Personal and Spiritual Development classes. I am a certified Mediator and Family Mediator. Most recently, I have become a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional and certified in Traumatic Stress as well as certification as a Grief Counselor. She is always looking for opportunities to further expand her scope in how best to continue to provide informed ways in healing and care. She is a wife of  30 years and a mother of two children ages 22 and 14. These two roles are her greatest passion and fulfillment. They have simply made her better.
