It is time to learn where the elves came from and how they ended up in the world of the two moons. Upon landing, the elves are reminded of how dangerous humans can be. Adya ended up dead by the hands of a grunting human. It is time for the firstcomers to learn the way of this new world and its songs. But there is one who refuses to adapt and decides to fight with the bones of the dead elves as armor. Haken starts to slaughter the humans outside the palace. Timmain forced Haken back into the palace. Within the palace, Haken takes the rest of the humans outside the palace as slaces who can protect the palace for him. The rest of the elves see how fast Timmain is adapting to this world and want her to teach them, while Haken believes she is power-hungry. A fight breaks out between Timmain and Haken, where Timmain bites off Hakens arm and he runs away. Even though Ember is no longer part of the tribe, she sees it as her responsibility to seek out and save Mender. To make sure no one learns she is there she lock sends to Mender to notify him that help is here, but Scouter sends for Mender at the same time. Scouter realizes Ember is there and gets annoyed since he already feels that the tribe is starting to doubt him. Teir uses his power to turn Lehrigens dog against him and Ember gets her chance to talk to Lehrigen.  Lehrigen is forced to fight with the Wolfriders when Rowb and his men attack. When Lehrigen gets stabbed in his leg and Mender tries to heal him, Scouter is ready to shoot him. Ember has lost her chief's lock, and Scouter is the new chief of the Wolfriders. This is the way, you can challenge for the chiefs position. Scouter will do everything to get his family back, even sacrificing one pack mate in a trade with Lerighen. When Ember wakes up after the fight and realizes she has lost she knows she has to save Mender. She knows Scouter has traded him for his own blood. Instead of following the tribe and the new chief, Teir resides to follow his heart and goes to find Ember. Leringhen is ready to attack Rowb and his men since he fully believes they are behind the poisonous firewood that killed one of his men. Rowb's men don't stand a chance and Rowb is the only one still standing when Leringhen shows his face. Some of the elves are watching it all unfold hidden in the trees. They are amused that some humans are dead and they don't have to do anything. But while Leringhen is busy talking to Rowb, Mender dismantles Leringhen's men's legs. Leringhen now has to hunt the elves alone, which he wanted to do from the beginning anyway.  Humans the elves can befriend do not come around often, but Ember sees an opportunity with Leringhen and wants to get him on her side. He already knows so much about them that she decides to talk to him. The meeting did not go as smoothly as Ember hoped. Several wolves are killed, and even more are injured. Teir's wolf friend is one of the dead wolves, killed by Leringhen's ner-wolf.  Pool is very upset that Teir lost his wolf friend, he wants revenge for the wolf, but Teir disagrees. Teir tries to talk to Pool about the way, but Pool does not listen, he decides to take matters into his own hands. Too young and too naive Pool ends up in Leringhens hands, which leads to Dewshine also being captured by Leringhen. The Wolfriders are not made to sit underground in the troll caverns, they want to be outside to be free, to be in fresh air. Therefore, Scouter is allowed a trip outside and ventures out through the pig stealing hole in the human village. Lehrigens dog sniffs out Scouter and Scrabble and the animals start fighting, not to be fought by humans Souter and Scrabble must get down to the troll caverns again, but they are now badly injured. While the rest of the Wolfriders try to help, they notice some grey powder entering the tunnel. It is going to explode. To save themselves they have to leave Scrabble behind.  Flem is mad that the wolfroders have ruined one of her tunnels, and orders them to leave her kingdom as soon as Scouter can manage. They think they find a safe spot out, but they are wrong. Both Lehrigen's men and Rowb's men are waiting by the forest to attack them upon arriving.  Teir is using his powers to make a horse stamped. Many humans are injured and dead, which gives the elves time to flee into the forest and hide. After Lehrigens and his men have rested up and tended to their injured Lehrigen carefully chooses four men to go with into the forest. Rowb disagrees with Lehrigens ways, he decides to take a couple of men himself into the forest. He thinks he can outshine Lehrigen, but the elves have different plans for the humans and turn them against each other. Angrif, the new Djun, is annoyed that his father's armor is too big and heavy for him to wear. He is eager to be a better Djun than his father ever was. All armored up Angrif and his men are going towards Howling Rock to kidnap a healer. Angrif and his men are outnumbering the elves by many so the elves need to find a way to flee Howling Rock without being noticed. Their only way out and sanctuary is to seek help from Drub and her troll kingdom.  Back home again Angrif is mad he found Howling Rock empty, but he sees hope in a new mysterious man who seems to know a lot more about the elves than an average human being. Lerighen accepts the Djun's challenge to capture a healer alive and sets off to find the elves.  It is the season of the cold white, which means there is less fresh meat in the troll caverns. Ember, Mender, Teir, and Flem go out to hunt. Flem is excited to show the elves how to hunt with a hammer. They successfully kill a stag and a big bear, but before they manage to bring the fresh meat to the caverns Leringhen and his men arrive. Gifa is ambushed and left to die by her men, but before she leaves the world of two moons, the Wolfriders find her and bring her back to Howling Rock. Inside the elves' Holt, Gifa is starting to plan how to gain trust and finally kill them all.  Gifa proves her loyalty to Ember and the Wolfriders by saving Ember's life, and she earns herself a knife to carry on her own.  Angrif, Gifas twin brother is planning how to kill his father so he can become the next Djun. The Djun still knows how to rule the kingdom and knows bribery is not the way to get men on your side. He now has the information from Angrifs plan.  When Mender and Ember retrieved Gifas necklace they had no idea they brought her poison which she uses to try to kill all the Wolfriders. But Gifa does not consider Mender's healing abilities when she tries to kill the whole tribe. She runs off when the elves understand she has poisoned the carcass and is the reason for their sickness. Gifa runs into her brother on her way back home, but he is not happy to see her so he pushes her off the cliff to kill her. Back home Angrif is lying about Gifas death to win the trust of the people. Turns out his father knows better and knows that Angrif killed his sister on his way to the thrown. Angrif is so eager to prove to his father he is the next Djun, so while all the Wolfriders go for a hunt Angrif sees his moment. He sneaks into Howling Rock and takes Scouter's troll sword to bring back home as a trophy. Back at home Gifa also wants to prove herself, she wants to be more than just a housewife, she also wants to go out and fight the elves who injured her dear father. To Angrif's surprise, the Djun is unhappy to see his stolen Troll sword. He knows the elves' power and will not go to war against them again. This is when Gifa sees her moment, she wants to infiltrate the Wolfriders like Shuna did and kill them from the inside. The Djun agrees.  Sust wants to try to train Stubtail like a wolf. Stubtail will be Sust's wolf friend since Pool is mocking him for not having a wolf friend yet. The only problem is that the elves do not have the same bond with any other animal as they have with the wolves because of the wolf's blood. But Sust is trying hard, after a time of hard training Pike steps in. A wolf friend will come when he is ready for it, but he can not force it.  Krim wants Yun to have a chieftess walk just like she had with Kahvi back with the Go Backs. Ember agrees to do it, and she has to protect the necklace she got from Teir. In a weak moment, Yun manages to get her hands on the necklace, but she feels it is not a happy victory since Ember is sad about losing something so precious to her. Drub and her trolls are helping Ember and the Wolfriders dig a tunnel into the monster's den. While everyone is working hard to get to the monster before Pike is sacrificed, Flam is busy with his project. He has been working on his own invention, maybe inspired by Two Edge. Flams machine will empty the water out of the cave, to make it easier and faster for the elves to attack the monster from behind.  Meanwhile, Pike and the old hag are set to public dispute, fruits and vegetables are thrown at them, and by the end of the day, they are taken to the Redeemer to seal their fate. Inside the cave, the Wolfriders attack the Redeemer from behind to force it out of its den, while the trolls wait on the outside to attack as soon as the Redeemer escapes the cave. Trolls and elves together as a team manage to kill the Redeemer and save Pike's life, while the humans are watching it all.  Teir resides to show up and claim his spot in the tribe as a Wolfrider, but this creates some tension in the group. A lot of jealousy is building up while finding their way back to Howling Rock. Among the humans, we see Djun and his two offspring, one son and one daughter. The Djun is revengeful he wants to regain the power he once had, to become bigger again he sends his son, Angrif off to find him more land to rule over. It has been many years since the war in the Citadel and the return of the palace. Ember and her tribe are now hunting down and killing what's left of Winnowill's monsters. After Winnowills death and the monster battle at Howlingrock, there are still a lot of monsters wandering around. Among the humans, we can hear many different stories told about the elves, like stories from the citadel war, that they take your soul if you look them in the eyes and the old tale about the elves being demons. A young boy has to face the redeemer, one of Winnowills monsters after looking Sust (Pike's son) in the eyes. The redeemer is one of Winnowills monsters and it is the elf's job to kill it before it can kill more innocent humans and elves. When attaching the redember from the cave entrance it is only a small portion of the monster that comes out to protect itself. It is time to find a different way into the monster cave.  Pike and Yun think gathering some dream berries from the dream berry bushes inside a human courtyard is more important than killing the monster. While trying to gather some dreamberries Pike manages to get caught and imprisoned together with a human hag, will they both get faced with the redeemer? Ember and the rest of her tribe had to hurry to find another way into the monster cave. Turns out they already know someone who can help them dig a tunnel to get into the monster cave. The sacrifice of Teir did not go as the Wolfriders thought. None of the monsters was interested in him, they all went after Dewshine and her wolf. Dewshine barely made it back to safety at Howling Rock, and Teir was taken by the monster leader and Winnowill's mind powers. The monster leader is using Teirs powers against the Wolfriders and all the monsters are now attacking Howling Rock. There is no safe space for the Wolfriders, they are outnumbered and can't fight off all the monsters. The only way to save everyone is for Leetah to kill the monster leader. When the monster leader dies, all the other monsters surrounding Howling Rock die too.  When Leetah killed the monster leader Teirs mind was still connected to him and Winnowill. His mind is badly injured because of this. He needs healing, but Leetah is exhausted from all the healing she has already done and she needs some rest, Teir has to wait, after all his life is not in danger. When Ember tries to send to Teir his mind is silent, like in death. An elf's mind is never silent like this as long as they are alive. When Teir wakes up, Ember gives him the most impossible ultimatum. He can choose not to be healed and get his mind and powers back, but be able to stay with the Wolfriders. Or Leetah can heal him, but then he has to leave.  Suddenly the palace appears in front of Howling Rock, the war is won and they are all reunited. From the cliffhanger last episode we are jumping straight back into the fight with the monsters. Single-handed Skywise can kill off all the monsters surrounding them. But it turns out that he is the only one unharmed. Help is sought out and Leetah can heal them all, but where is Teir? No one has seen him in a while. Ember goes out alone to find him. Sadly Teir is not in his right mind, it seems he is possessed, Ember decides to invite him back to Howling Rock so Leetah can heal him. On their way back to Howling Rock, monsters attack them, and Ember is badly injured.  Choplicker is sent to get Leetah for help, Ember is almost joining Skot and zhantee. When The healer arrives she is not happy to see her cub in the arms of Teir. He is pushed away, and Leetah heals Ember so they can ride back, but she won't believe that Teir saved Ember. Teir does not give up, he follows them back to Howling Rock. Safe and sound at Howling Rock Teir proves himself when he turns the monsters against each other, and the Wolfriders are finally approving of him.  Sadly this is short-lived. His mind is taken by Winnowill, to put him out of his agony Leetah puts him in a coma. After a shared nightmare between Skywise and Timmain, Skywise shares his doubts about the new holt and the newcomer with Ember. He means Teir is like Winnowill and wants to get rid of him, but Ember disagrees. Ember struggles with what to do and needs some alone time to think, so Pike decides to share some of his special thinking dreamberries. The dreamberries lead Ember to have some dreamberry visions and she gets a pep talk from a previous chieftess, Skyfire. Skyfire teaches Ember about the way, and how it came to be when she became chief of the Wolfriders. Nightfall helps Ember out of her visions and tells her about the hard times her father has gone through, he is not as perfect as Ember thinks he is.  Zhantees spirit is coming to say goodbye to Leetah, and the rest of the Wolfriders are ready to reunite with the others in war. Ember must remind the others that they split so at least someone could survive the war and continue the bloodline. Instead of joining the others in the war, Ember decides it is finally time to take the ride out Skywise has wanted to do for a while. Skywise, Pike, and Dewshine ride out to see what is surrounding Howling Rock. But they did not expect to find so many of Winnowills monsters. Suddenly they find themselves in the middle of a fight, the monsters are outnumbering them. Ember doubts herself and her skills as Chief yet again. She wants to learn to fight with a troll sword, like her father did in the first war. It turns out it is not a skill for her body type and personality. But she refuses to give up, in her mind it is a chief weapon and she needs to do everything like her father. Some of the Wolfriders try to convince her to try different weapons, like a spear. Ember refuses to listen, but even the most stubborn chieftess has to admit defeat when a certain newcomer gifts her a spear. Turns out, a spare is Ember's kind of weapon when she saves Redlance from one of Winnowill's monsters.  Timmain is spending a lot of time with Teir, which means he is running out of meat and it is time to go for a hunt. When he is about to leave Timmain runs off to find Ember, she is eager for the two of them to go hunting together. After all, Ember is the one Wolfrider who trusts Teir. While out hunting Teir shows Ember his animal magic, how he can imitate them, feel them, and build trust with them. It is something new for Ember, but she realizes that Teir has so much to teach them. The Wolfriders are still searching for their new holt, but while taking a break from that Ember asks Pike for a new howl. A howl she has never heard before, Ember is curious about recognition. Pike proceeds to Howl the tale of Hummer and Buckthorn, two young Wolfriders who grow up in rivalry. Everything they do turns into a competition, this goes on until they one day recognize. They recognize during a staring competition, which has lasted for days. Hummer and Buckthorn live on as soul mates and love mates, and they get two recognized children.  Back on their wolf friends' backs, the Wolfriders are yet again hunting for their new holt. After almost starving yet again, they arrive at Howling Rock. But it turns out someone else is living there, and not everyone is happy to get to know Teir. Ember decides to get to know him more and goes off to talk with him. It's the offspring of the tuftcat the tribe killed in the last episode. While holding a council to decide if the cub gets to stay or not, some Wolfriders start to hallucinate after they get stung by insects. Moonshade thinks she sees her daughter Cresent, so she is having a heart-to-heart with her. Ember uses this situation to her advantage to find out what's on Moonshades mind. In the end, when everyone is back to their sane minds Timmain approves of the cub and it gets to stay.  It is not safe to stay around insects that make them hallucinate unless they have been eating dreamberries so the Wolfriders are on the move again. In front of them is a land with little prey. While the Wolfriders are starving it seems like the wolfs are finding food for themselves. Turns out the ground is full of mice, and it's time to hunt some small predators. Ember, the blood of eleven chiefs, is starting her journey as a chiefstess. It is hard for a young cub to find her place and style as a leader. Especially when she is one of the youngest in the tribe, and the elders are challenging her every move. Ember has to learn to lead, to count on her tribemates, and to play on all their strengths. Redlance can grow them a safe space to sleep for the night, and Monshade is a strong huntress. In the new forest, Ember can feel traces of dark magic. Magic that originates from the black snake. One of her creations is attacking the Wolfriders. They have to be quick, and can they beat this monster the same way they did Madcoil? or do they need to cum up with a new plan? This is the first of Winnowills monsters the Wolfriders meet, but it will not be the last. Shards is coming to an end. In this episode, we are tackling the last three issues in the Shards saga. Rayek is starting to run out of energy, and Winnowill is starting to get a grip on Rayek. Venka is calling on the Wolfriders, and when they arrive Venka and Strongbow take over for Rayek so he can take a break. Shuna gets the opportunity to avenge her mother. Aroree reunites with Skywise and Timmain. They make their way back to the other elves. It is time to regather all the shard pieces, but Winnowill breaks free, she fights Timmain because she wants the power of the palace.
