Iâve never met anyone quite as authentic as Joey Labossiere, especially in the wellness space â and thatâs exactly what drew Denai and I to have him on the show.
In this episode, Joey gets real as he opens up about his journey from working as a corrections officer to becoming a highly sought-after hypnotherapist, accidentally blowing up on TikTok, to helping thousands of people heal from trauma, rewrite limiting beliefs, and completely transform their lives.
He shares raw stories of his past â including his struggles with addiction, the powerful life lessons that came from it, and how those challenges guided him toward his purpose of helping others heal.
To top it all off, Joey leads us through a beautiful, light guided hypnosis session at the end of the episode that you definitely donât want to miss.
Joey is one of the most grounded, genuine humans Iâve ever met, and this conversation is full of wisdom, truth, and heart.

In this weekâs Hot Johnson episode, weâre going back to the basics â the 4 fundamentals of health that truly change everything.
When Denai was in nutrition school, these were the core pillars that were taught. The truth is, if you focus on these things, you will feel so much better mentally, emotionally, and physically!
In this conversation, we break down everything nutrition â and weâre not holding back.We cover:đ„ Intermittent fasting â is it helpful or harmful?đ The truth about âwhich diet is bestâđ„ Why you crave certain foods (and how to work with your body, not against it) and so much more!
This episode is for anyone whoâs tired of the noise, ready to feel good again, and wants to understand the real foundations of health â not the trends.
We hope you laugh with us, and leave with practical tools to fuel your body and mind. If you enjoyed this episode, donât forget to like, subscribe, and share it with someone who needs a reset.

Do you feel like you often feel unsettled in your relationship and that you need a lot of reassurance that your partner wants you and loves you? Do you struggle to trust and feel safe? If so, this episode is for you.
This week on The Hot Johnson we're talking about attachment theory. If you're not familiar with this theory, it essentially talks about how our relationships with our childhood caregivers tremendously imprint the way we show up in our adulthood relationships. It is often said that many people are either running toward or away from love & this theory kinda touches on why that is.
In this episode we briefly touch on the 3 of the main attachment styles: anxious, avoidant and secure, and offer some tips on how to move from feeling anxious in our relationships, to feeling more confident and secure. We share our personal experience in how we have made this shift as both of us grew up more anxiously attached and today feel quite secure.
We always love to hear from you guys & SO appreciate your feedback!Dont hesitate to reach out on instagram  âš@thehotjohnsonâ©Â Much love, Bron & Denai xo
How much fun are you actually having in your life? And how do you know when youâve got a healthy balance between work and play?
In this episode of The Hot Johnson, Denai and I get real about our own experiencesâtimes when weâve hustled too hard, moments when weâve let loose, and how weâve learned (sometimes the hard way) to find that sweet spot between getting sh*t done and actually enjoying life.
Weâll also share some simple ways to figure out what balance looks like for you and how to bring more fun into your daily routineâwithout feeling guilty about it.
In this episode, we talk about:
âąÂ What a healthy work/play balance actually looks like
âąÂ How to recognize when youâre out of alignment
âąÂ Practical tips for making space for fun (without losing momentum)
âąÂ Why rest isnât lazinessâand why play is just as important as productivity
If youâve ever felt like youâre either grinding too hard or not doing enough, this oneâs for you.

Today on The Hot Johnson we're talking about grief & loss.
Grief can show up in many forms. Often we associate grief with death and the loss of a loved one, but grief can be felt anytime we go through major loss, whether that be the loss of a relationship, friendship, a job we loved, moving to a new city, the list goes on.
Our society doesn't really teach us much about grief, how to heal through it and how to be with our loved ones when they are going through grief. Often we dont know what to do or say when someone we know is going through a major loss, or we may say the wrong thing.
We need to learn to not only talk about grief, but how to move through it as grief is inevitable for us to experience at some point in our lives. In today's episode we offer a conversation that will hopefully bring some more tools and awareness in how to heal your own grief as well as how to best support others when they are going through it.
Much love to you friends, as always we love to hear your feedback. Please feel free to reach out in the comments or on instagram  âš@thehotjohnsonâ©Â

In today's episode of The Hot Johnson, we have Chelsey Gallou joining us. Chelsey is a counsellor in training, a mother of 3 and a military wife.
Today Chelsey shares a very vulnerable story of when she was 18 years old and found herself in an abusive relationship with a much older man. Through manipulation, gaslighting and so much more, Chelsey found herself in a very dangerous situation, that ultimately led to her contemplating ending her own life.
Chelsey is a brave, strong woman, and we hope that her story not only brings more awareness, but also encourages others in a similar situation to reach out for help.

The holidays can be a joyful timeâbut they can also bring emotional triggers, especially when family dynamics or stressful situations come into play. In this episode of The Hot Johnson, we dive deep into how to handle holiday triggers with grace, emotional intelligence, and healthy communication.
We break down a powerful four-step formula inspired by non-violent communication to help you address triggers constructively:
1. Observation â Identify and communicate what happened without blame or judgment.
2. Feelings â Express how the situation made you feel in a grounded, non-reactive way.
3. Needs â Clarify what you truly need or want in the moment.
4. Requests â Ask the other person if theyâre open to making a specific change.
This episode teaches you how to use âI statementsâ to diffuse tension, hold people accountable with compassion, and create healthier, more meaningful connectionsânot just during the holidays but in everyday life. Whether youâre navigating family gatherings or workplace conflicts, these tools will help you stay calm, present, and empowered.

We're switching things up this week...
This week we're sitting down as bro & sis and just having a real, honest convo about love.
Our intention coming into this podcast initially wasn't actually to talk about love, but rather just show up vulnerably and share what's currently most present in our individual lives. It just so happened that love was a common theme for both of us.
Bron talks about his struggles in his recent breakup and Denai shares why she hasn't really been in a serious relationship for almost a decade.
We hope you enjoy this weeks episode.
We'd love to know if you guys prefer this style of convo, or if you like the shorter more structured episodes we normally do.
