Not only are mushrooms nutrient-rich, but each species features compounds that may promote health and wellness in unique ways. To find out more I sat down with Julian Mitchell, co-founder of Life Cykel, a mycelium biotechnology company that engineers positive solutions to real world problems.
For decades psychedelic research has been prevented by drug laws and stigma. Thankfully research is now once again illuminating the potential benefits of psychedelics in the thera-peutic setting. At the forefront of this research is Professor David Nutt
My guest this week is Louie Schwartzberg, an award-winning pioneer in the field of time-lapse cinematography. For four decades Louie has been capturing and honouring the awe of our extraordinary planet by making what is invisible to the human eye visible to the world. Through his work he aims to inspire in us a reverence for life and a falling in love with Planet Earth. He also reveals how nature can help us heal; physically, emotionally and spiritually.

The Holistic Healing Project is back! Hello, it’s lovely to be here with you again. I’m kicking off Season 2 with a truly brilliant guest: Charles Eisenstein.
This week I’m chatting to Dr Rupy Aujila, AKA The Doctor’s Kitchen, who shares his top tips to help support your health and wellbeing during this period of lock down [and beyond]. Dr Rupy is an NHS doctor, founder of 'The Doctor's Kitchen’ and the non-profit 'Culinary Medicine UK’. He is also a podcast host and a Sunday Times Best selling author of several books including ‘Eat to Beat Illness’.
* This is the final episode of Season 1 - see you again for Season 2 very soon *
In this week’s episode I catch up with gifted musician and singer-songwriter Nick Mulvey who’s music has always spoken directly to my soul. Nick was a founding member of Mercury Prize nominated band Portico Quartet until 2011 when he left to pursue his solo career, releasing his first studio album First Mind in 2014 which earned him another Mercury Prize nomination. His 2017 album ‘Wake Up Now’ saw him shift gear and start to examine our social and political climate through his poignant and beautiful lyrics. Through his music Nick continues to examine how we are living and what it means to be truly alive. As always, he continues to spread joy and warmth around the world - something we could all do with right now.
In this week’s episode I speak with Dr. Tara Swart a neuroscientist, leadership coach,
former Psychiatrist, TEDx Speaker, and author of the brilliant book, The Source.
Nearly a decade ago I came across a viral blog post that stopped me in my tracks. The con-tent was powerful, beautiful and poignant. The author was Bronnie Ware.
We rarely explore, discuss or research “spontaneous remissions”. These cases don’t fit neatly into a box, they’re unpredictable and they’re also relatively rare. But there’s no doubt, they do occur. Whilst many doctors believe these cases are simply “fluke”, Dr. Jeffrey Rediger has spent the past 17 years collecting case histories of people who have managed to heal and recover from terminal illness. Interestingly, he has found a number of commonalities in their approaches which he has documented in his incredible new book, Cured: The Life-Changing Science of Spontaneous Healing.
This week’s episode is a deep and beautiful conversation with my inspirational friend Sophie Trew. Sophie was diagnosed with cancer in 2014 at the age of 23 and subsequently went on to found Trew Fields, the UK’s first Holistic Health and Cancer Awareness Festival. Trew Fields is a festival for anyone interested in holistic approaches to health and healing - not just for people affected by cancer. Statistically speaking, one in two of us will get cancer and prevention is ALWAYS better than cure. As well as being festival founder, Sophie also works as a coach, breathwork facilitator and motivational speaker.
This week I’m chatting with Dr Gabor Maté, a best selling author and an expert in trauma, addiction, childhood development and the relationship between stress and disease.
