17 – Being Honest With Donato Helbling
For most of his life, Donato Helbling believed it was his destiny to be an engineer. It wasn’t until he relocated to the United States from Argentina for college that he realized that studying engineering didn’t bring him any joy. After experimenting with other avenues, Donato ultimately found his true calling: the practice of martial arts, intentional breathing, meditation, and teaching. In today’s episode, host Dominic and Donato sit down to discuss his journey to self-realization.    According to Donato, when we place ourselves in boxes of who we think we should be, we lose the opportunity to discover ourselves. For him, it was the pressure to be an engineer that prevented him from finding his purpose in life for so long. Even though coming to the realization that he was on the wrong path was difficult, the best thing Donato ever did was get honest with himself. On his path to getting honest, Donato explored and got certified in the Wim Hof Breathing Method and trained to get a black belt in the mixed martial arts practice of Budokon as well as becoming an accomplished meditation teacher.   Tune into this week’s episode of Healerology to learn more about the importance of meditation, being present, and trusting the process, so you can find healing and live honestly.    Quotes • “The inflection point for me to start looking inside was when I put myself in a box of having to be an engineer even though I didn't fit in it. It just was very uncomfortable, I was not happy and I was hitting a wall that I hated.” (07:40-08:00) • “I was losing the opportunity to discover myself by only using a small part of my existence.” (12:23-12:30) • “Martial Arts gave me a sense of self-reliance, security, and trust that I didn't have.” (13:29-13:39) • “In martial arts school, part of the system is to check in regularly on how your life is doing. Everyone was encouraged to have their own identity, personality, desires, and their own goals and we would all support each other in it.” (21:33-21:48) • “If you're present and you act honestly, you're going to be happy and you're going to heal.” (29:42-29:46) • “You may be a lot more capable of what you're giving yourself credit for, but you're just not experiencing enough of life to use your essence for different things.” (56:11-56:23) • “We're here to experience everything, the sad and happy, the blissful and the painful. All of that is within our capability. So if you just show up and just experience bliss, you’ve lived a blissful life  but you didn't live a full life.” (57:14-57:30)   Links   https://donatohelbling.com/ https://donatohelbling.com/pages/contact https://www.miamiiceclub.com/ https://www.instagram.com/donatohelbling/   DISCLAIMER: THIS WEBSITE AND PODCAST DO NOT PROVIDE MEDICAL ADVICE. 16 - Join the Evolve Community with Jen Todd
As a business consultant, Jen Todd has focused a lot of her career teaching high-stress workplaces the importance of mindfulness. Even though there are many healers available, Jen realized that finding the best practitioners isn’t always easy. To bridge the gap between healers and the community, Jen co-founded Evolve, a virtual platform that supports personal development by connecting users with the top wellness leaders around the world.    According to Jen, one of the most fundamental aspects of healing is the human connection. While people often relate their healing needs to other aspects of their life, Jen explains that healing our relationships with others is oftentimes what people need the most. To increase collective consciousness, Evolve is dedicated to spreading awareness about alternative healing modalities. When we work on strengthening our connections with others, we can begin to find alignment physically, mentally, and spiritually.    Tune into this week’s episode of Healerology to learn more about the power of coaching, the importance of human connection, and how to use Evolve to connect with the spiritual healer that is best for you.   Quotes • “Whatever we want to do, we can do. It's just about setting our minds to it and then it can become a reality.” (11:15-11:23)  • “What we're doing is taking the stress of things like payment and scheduling off of the healers. Our goal is to make it a very robust system they can rely on and they can do their work.” (25:51- • “If the leaders and healers have everything that they need to help people, then the world will become a better place.” (26:40-26:47) • “We feel so strongly about the healers and the leaders feeling supported because I think some of them are doing very well, but some of them could be doing so much better.” (27:13-27:27) • “The human connection is so important to us because Irina, my co-founder, and I have basically healed ourselves by speaking with people.” (39:01-39:12) • “When I started surrounding myself with the folks from the mindfulness and meditation circles, my romantic relationships began to change.” (46:18-46:28)    Links   https://www.8evolve.com   https://www.instagram.com/8evolveapp   https://apps.apple.com/us/app/8evolve/id1532687927   DISCLAIMER: THIS WEBSITE AND PODCAST DO NOT PROVIDE MEDICAL ADVICE. 15 – Acupuncture with Dr. Christina Casado
“Your body has its own repair mechanisms and it's your job to support that,” says Dr. Christina Casado, Acupuncture Practitioner. After realizing her values aligned more with eastern medicine, Dr. Christina decided to combine her passion for medicine with natural practices. In today’s episode, host Dominic is joined in conversation with Dr. Christina to discuss how she transforms patients' lives through acupuncture.  According to Dr. Christina, diseases are imbalances rooted in our autonomic nervous system. These imbalances mostly come from long exposure to stress, and they can attack any major system within the body. One of the best ways to repair your body is through acupuncture. The insertion of small needles not only targets affected areas to increase blood flow, but it works to bring the entire body back into homeostasis. It is only when we are aligned with our bodies, that we can prevent disease and increase our overall health.  Tune into this week’s episode of Healerology for an in-depth conversation about acupuncture. Learn more about the history behind the method, the physical impacts of long-term stress, and how the process of acupuncture can target your parasympathetic nervous system to alleviate symptoms and prevent disease. Quotes • “Acupuncture is the insertion of small needles into specific points of the body to increase the flow of oxygen and blood through all of the systems to bring the body to a state of balance or homeostasis.” (03:37-03:59) • “Chinese medicine is a huge classical body of evidence-based medicine that has been practiced for thousands of years.” (12:18-12:30) • “Acupuncture has an effect on the body where it uses its own natural neurological reactions to flip our neurological system and reset it.” (15:35-15:45) • “Even in western medicine, there's evidence to show that stress is the root cause of many diseases.” (21:08-21:15)  • “In most cases, flipping to parasympathetic is exactly what that patient needs for the body to start going back toward homeostasis.” (24:50-25:03) • “You're in control of your health. Your body has its own repair mechanisms, and it's your job to support that.” (25:14-25:20)  • “The five elemental system is the system through which we identify the relationship of emotions and spirit to what's physically happening in the body.” (31:29-31:37) • “There is an emotional component that cannot be separated from the process of acupuncture that allows people to access the true authentic part of themselves in order to actualize and express themselves.” (41:53-42:09) • “When you feel fulfilled and nurtured by yourself and by your environment, it's very unlikely that a lot of diseases will actually occur in your body.” (1:04:09-1:04:22)   Links https://treehouseacupuncture.com/   DISCLAIMER: THIS WEBSITE AND PODCAST DO NOT PROVIDE MEDICAL ADVICE. 13 – Manifestation with Tiffany Nicole
Do you ever feel plagued with self-doubt? Are your limiting beliefs preventing you from achieving your goals? According to Tiffany Nicole, certified manifestation coach, realities are created in our subconscious thoughts. After seeing the power of manifestation in her own life, Tiffany has helped hundreds of clients align with their higher selves and step into their truths through the process of manifestation. According to Tiffany, 97% of the beliefs we are taught as children are negative. This statistic explains why the root cause of most people’s struggles is hidden in their emotions. To attain positivity and healing, Tiffany explains that we must first heal our past traumas. It's only when you honor your God-given gifts that you can be open to receiving the positives in life.  Tune into this week’s episode of Healerology to learn more about the importance of clearing emotional trauma, how to align your subconscious and conscious thoughts, and why manifestation has the power to give you the life of your dreams.   Quotes • “So much of what my clients go through is wrapped in self-doubt which at the end of the day, lacks the confidence to do a lot of things like to speak up, be yourself, admit what you want, and show up as yourself.” (05:13-05:29) • “The foundation of who we are, and what we believe comes from parents or whoever raised us because that's who we’re looking at every single day as a baby. And unfortunately, 97% of what we're actually taking in is negative.” (06:38-06:55) • “Be patient with your manifestations. It's not on your time, it’s on the universe’s time.” (18:16-18:20) • “Whenever I find pain, serious complications, or even diseases in people’s bodies, it's always emotion.” (30:46-30:57) • “Every time you think something, you feel something, even if you're not conscious of it.” (40:39-40:44)   Links Instagram | https://www.instagram.com/tiffanynicole.co/  Website | https://www.tiffanynicole.co/theta-healing    DISCLAIMER: THIS WEBSITE AND PODCAST DO NOT PROVIDE MEDICAL ADVICE. 12 – Embodied and Untamed with Elizabeth DiAlto
“Embodiment is about getting out of your head and into your body,” says Elizabeth DiAlto, creator of Wild Soul Movement. Over the last eight years, Elizabeth has developed her business to focus on the practice of embodiment. Originally starting as a sensual healing movement, Wild Soul Movement has since evolved the scope of work to include live classes and workshops that cover all aspects of self-love and healing. Today, Elizabeth has helped over 1,500 women achieve healing by understanding the sacredness of their own bodies.  According to Elizabeth, most people are programmed to override the wisdom of the body with logic and rationale. While the mind does have the ability to analyze and understand feelings, our bodies hold wisdom regarding our emotions and how we deal with them. Elizabeth explains that you cannot embody self-love until you have learned how to breathe through painful times. This explains why it is necessary to understand your emotions and heal your past traumas.  Tune into this week’s episode of Healerology for a conversation with Elizabeth DiAlto about embodiment. Learn more about Wild Soul Movement, energy work, and how to use your body’s unique language to achieve wholeness and liberation.    Quotes • “When I talk about embodiment, one of my favorite things to say is that embodiment is about getting out of your head and into your body.” (08:38-08:43) • “The missing thing that a lot of people don't have is humility. And the reason they don't have humility is because they don't know how to process or deal with their shame.” (25:08-25:15) • “When people have unhealed or unresolved trauma that they're not even aware of, it's going to come through in their behaviors.” (30:27-30:31) •  “If you learn how to breathe through uncomfortable feelings of pain, how to move things through your body, and how to energetically release things, you can be with anything. That's how you build resiliency.” (33:09-33:23) • “Because our traumas want to heal, we will attract what we need to face.” (38:30-38:37) • “We will be drawn towards what feels familiar, even if what feels familiar is not good for us because familiarity reads as safety and comfort.” (39:43-39:53)   Links https://untameyourself.com   DISCLAIMER: THIS WEBSITE AND PODCAST DO NOT PROVIDE MEDICAL ADVICE. But really, it's just taking the time to slow down and connect back with your soul.” (02:19-02:41) • “A lot of times women tend to put their needs last just because they're wanting to get ahead in the market. 10 – El Niño Viejo (The Old Child) with Juan Pablo Carrizo
Due to his highly sensitive nature, Juan Pablo Carrizo struggled to find his identity as a child. After enduring personal struggles, Juan Pablo decided to convert his passion for people and conversations into a career. As he got closer to attaining a degree in psychology, Juan Pablo created his program, El Niño Viejo, to help people increase their levels of consciousness by healing their inner child.  According to Juan Pablo, most people’s self-identities are derived from a suffering they never learned how to overcome. Trauma build-up over the years is ultimately the cause of lower levels of consciousness and a variety of other mental health issues. In order to take control of our mental and spiritual healing, we must practice true self-care by first focussing on healing the traumas from our childhood.  Tune in to this week’s episode of Healerology to learn how to awaken your soul, harness the power of your experiences, heal your inner child, and make self-love an everyday practice.    Quotes  • “I can speak about consciousness and complex terms in a really basic language which opened a big audience of people that usually wouldn't be interested in these kinds of topics.” (05:58-06:14) • “I don't think there's anything wrong with having a low level of consciousness. I think people are doing things their own way, and learning what they need to learn. And we as facilitators need to embody that and help them in the way we can if they are willing to accept the help.” (29:36-29:53) • “When you are getting to higher levels of consciousness, you don't get more intelligent. Things just become more obvious.” (34:59-35:01) • “If you want to get through that dimension of static self-love and enter shadow transformative work, you need to grow up a little, because self love can be really painful to achieve.” (39:51-40:17)   Links https://www.instagram.com/elninoviejo/   DISCLAIMER: THIS WEBSITE AND PODCAST DO NOT PROVIDE MEDICAL ADVICE. 09 – Pranic Healing with Jasmin Nielsen
After the premature death of her father, Pranic Healer Jasmin Nielsen actively searched for a way to cope with her grief. After experimenting with multiple healing modalities and experiencing no results, Jasmin almost gave up on her quest for healing. 08 – Meditation, Mindfulness and Finding Yourself with Natalie Thomas
Natalie Thomas, Yoga and Meditation Coach, was first introduced to mindfulness as an athlete by implementing visualization techniques to help her improve her performance. While the practice of mindfulness was valuable to her athletic career, Natalie didn’t apply the same concepts to her everyday life. After experiencing a severe case of burnout, Natalie introduced meditation and mindfulness into her daily routine. Natalie’s dedication to these practices allowed her to improve her mental well-being and reconnect with her inner self. Today, Natalie works with clients on both an individual and corporate level to reduce stress by establishing a presence of mindfulness in the workplace.  When it comes to healing, we tend to grab onto physical things that only bring temporary relief. According to Natalie, genuine healing is a lot more complicated than it appears. It requires you to let go of the physical world and tap into your soul to dig up parts of yourself that you shun or have made unacceptable. Although the process is often uncomfortable, Natalie explains that healing our past traumas increases our vibration and integrates the mind, body, and spirit.  Tune into this week’s episode of Healerology to learn how to master the art of meditation, balance masculine and feminine energies, and put your well-being first, so you can live a life that’s aligned with you!    Quotes • “While I did have a taste of mindfulness when I was diving, it really embodied me in 2012 when I had an awakening. Then all of a sudden, I drew interest into all things, spirituality, mindfulness, wellness, and metaphysical.” (05:20-05:33) • “When we work all the time, and we don't focus on self-care, creative pursuits and what really makes us happy, we start to feel ungrounded.” (08:43-08:56) • “If work is that demanding, where can we incorporate mental health and wellness into our everyday life?” (09:41-09:47) • “We're infinite beings, and once we recognize that and tap into it, it's really amazing what we can accomplish.” (20:47-20:53) • “Once we start to change on the inside, our surrounding environment starts to change.” (24:48-24:52)   Links https://www.instagram.com/thenowwithnat   https://www.thenowwithnat.com    DISCLAIMER: THIS WEBSITE AND PODCAST DO NOT PROVIDE MEDICAL ADVICE. 07 – Adopting a Self-Love Mindset with Mio Santana
“I know from my own work that self-love is the foundation to everything,” says Mio Santana, Self-Love Mindset Coach. For over 20 years, Mio battled a cycle of negative self-talk, unstable employment, and failed relationships. After hitting rock bottom, Mio took it upon herself to dig deep into her inner child and heal the parts of her soul that had been broken. Today, she empowers others to rewrite their stories like she rewrote her own. Mio explains that most of us are practicing self-care and not self-love. While it is good to treat yourself every now and then to a weekend getaway or a day at the spa, the reality is that these things are only surface level, and they won’t permanently repair your pain. The only way to break through the barriers of trauma is by delving deep into your history to mend any suffering you experienced as a child. Once you free yourself from the shackles of your past, you can begin to transform your life for the better.  Change doesn’t happen overnight, but that doesn’t mean it’s impossible. 06 – Life Balance with Carolyn Crews
“When we return to ourselves, that's when the magic starts to happen in the life we want to live and are here to create,” says Carolyn Crews, Transformative Life Coach and Reiki Master Teacher. Carolyn has been on a mental and physical journey to find the form of energy healing that works for her. Despite studying Western medicine for over 15 years, Carolyn ultimately realized that traditional routes weren’t what was best for her. She instead turned to guided meditation and yoga practices and engulfed herself in less traditional methods of energy healing. She also began her own holistic business, building off of her newfound passion for energy healing. Carolyn supports her clients by leading them through different methods of energy healing, meditation and overcoming powerful emotions within themselves. Carolyn expresses the pure joy she feels when there is a noticeable change in her clients’ healing journeys.  Today’s episode recounts personal stories of Carolyn’s healing journey. She candidly speaks on her struggles with anxiety and depression and how non traditional methods of healing ultimately boosted her happiness and overall well-being. Carolyn’s story is one of revitalization and self-exploration. Tune into this week’s episode of Healerology to hear more about Carolyn’s impressive healing journey and the businesses she has built around it.   Quotes • “My journey to regaining my physical health was when I found yoga and began practicing meditation and breath work and all of these other modalities….Things were starting to fall into place, and I started noticing shifts. But for me, it wasn't until I discovered energy healing that the biggest shifts began to occur.” (07:56-08:22) • “I heard a beautiful analogy once that our bodies and our minds are like this dimmer switch….And in our world, currently as it is, in being so busy and active with so much going on, and we’re at high productivity levels and managing multiple roles, that the dimmer switch is turned on high, so that light is super bright as is our stress level, and as our constant level of stress is just turned up and it stays there. Even when things aren't really stressful, our bodies are so used to being in that state. But with these practices, like meditation and yoga, and all of these things, what it does is it literally turns down that dimmer switch.” (17:11- 18:00) • “We are all already perfect and whole and complete. We are born that way and that has never changed.” (47:45-47:55) • “When we return to ourselves, that's when the magic starts to happen in the life that we want to live and are here to create and how we want to feel.” (50:30-50:37)   Links https://www.instagram.com/carolynccrews/   DISCLAIMER: THIS WEBSITE AND PODCAST DO NOT PROVIDE MEDICAL ADVICE. 05 – Heal the Root Cause of Common Chronic Illnesses with Hailey Gill
“You can think you want to be healthy all you want, but if you have limiting beliefs in the subconscious, it will block you from achieving full health,” says Hailey Gill, Integrative Health Practitioner. After suffering for years from unexplained chronic illnesses, Hailey was desperate for a sense of relief. It wasn’t until she treated years of suppressed emotions and traumas that she began to alleviate her symptoms and find healing. Today, she focuses her practice on transforming the lives of patients with chronic illness by using MBSR (Mind Body Spirit Release™) to treat lingering physical pain. Everyone has experienced trauma at some point in their lives. Whether it be minor or major, these experiences stick with us until we work through them. Hailey explains that it is important to not only examine our conscious thoughts, but to also dive deep into our subconscious, as over 95% of the things we do are related to our subconscious thoughts. She spends time with her patients by first discovering what past traumas and limiting beliefs are preventing good health and then working with them to achieve a complete clearing. At the end of the day, our bodies are made to be resilient and fight off things that cause harm. This is why it is important to have a strong energy field, but it all starts with healing from within. Join us on today’s episode of Healerology to hear more about Hailey’s personal healing journey. Learn how MBSR can help identify the underlying cause of your physical symptoms, so you can begin to work towards a pain-free and joyful life.    Quotes • “The mind, body and spirit are definitely one. So when trying to just target one of those areas, you typically don't get as good of results as if you start incorporating all of them.” (01:54-02:04)  • “But if the subconscious mind, which is actually 95% of what controls our daily actions, has all of these trapped limiting beliefs, then that is what's going to be driving the results that you actually see in your outside world.” (12:00-12:19) • “You can think you want to be healthy all that you want, but if you have limiting beliefs in the subconscious, it will block you from achieving full health.” (13:58-14:06) • “I don't believe in supplementing deficiencies. I believe in detox, and detoxing the root cause that is causing the deficiency.” (32:49-32:57)   Links https://www.instagram.com/haileygillwellness   DISCLAIMER: THIS WEBSITE AND PODCAST DO NOT PROVIDE MEDICAL ADVICE. 04 – MBSR, Reiki and Wellness with Carissa
Welcome to episode #4 of the Healerology podcast with Carissa — Mind, Body, Spirit, Release (MSBR) and Reiki “Poor health only exists at lower levels of consciousness,” says Carissa, Mind, Body, Spirit, Release (MSBR) and Reiki expert. After experiencing a traumatic event related to a pharmaceutical medication, Carissa became an advocate for her own health and wellness. She spent time experimenting with an integrative MD and holistic practitioner before stumbling upon Reiki and MBSR. She has since been driven to help others heal their bodies and elevate their levels of consciousness. As an MBSR practitioner, Carissa taps into her clients to reveal the part or parts of their body that are holding onto negative emotions. Many times this can be related to current or past traumas that have accumulated over time. The accumulation of negative emotions can present as physical symptoms such as chronic pain, anxiety and depression. Instead of treating patients with drugs, Carissa uses MBSR to reduce the amount of physical and mental challenges someone is experiencing simply by increasing their level of consciousness. According to Carissa, it is only at high levels of consciousness that a person will be able to heal and acquire good health and fortune. If Carissa can help just one person a day, she knows that she has done her job right.  Tune into this week’s episode of Healerology to hear more about Carissa’s journey with MSBR and Reiki. Learn how to elevate your consciousness, so you can achieve good health and good vibes every day! Quotes • “Shortly after I had that reaction, I was the only one self-advocating and researching: what can I do to heal my body? And I found an integrative MD, I found a holistic practitioner, they both helped me with some tests, and supplements and all that good stuff. But I turned to Reiki because I had a great experience from my friend. And I thought, ‘Why can't I help myself and help others?’” (03:33-04:06) • “If I can reach and help one person a day or if something I'm saying or talking about or sharing helps just one person, then that does it for me. It lights my fire.” (06:34-06:48) • “Poor health only exists at lower levels of consciousness.” (28:54-28:57) • “As you increase your consciousness, you are going to have less and less problems in your life to the point where you can actually not have any problems in your life, because the only thing that you are experiencing are circumstances, and results of your action. But they're not problems, they're just things that are now in your awareness.” (29:03-29:24) • “It's that in that higher consciousness I find that we are the most open and receptive to blessings, good fortune, and the universe taking care of whatever it is that we want in its own way.” (31:12-31:24)   Links https://instagram.com/missxriss   DISCLAIMER: THIS WEBSITE AND PODCAST DO NOT PROVIDE MEDICAL ADVICE. 02 – Theta Healing with Gizella Turbok
“Every illness in the body is just a misalignment,” says Gizella Turbok, a Theta Healer. When Gizella was given a 1% chance of surviving Stage 4 ovarian cancer, she turned to Theta Healing as a method of overcoming her diagnosis. Not only did Theta Healing help Gizella conquer cancer, but she has since become a specialized Theta Healing practitioner, supporting over 1,000 patients experiencing health challenges similar to her own. According to Gizella, Theta Healing brings your brain into a restful theta state, which is the state we experience just before falling asleep and waking up. When we are in this peaceful place, we are able to better connect with the Creator and enter a state of healing and growth. Gizella explains that the first step in the process is to take responsibility for your own healing by acknowledging and aligning negative energies. Once we rid ourselves of the toxic elements in our lives, we can tap into our heart space, and it is here that we can discover unlimited healing potential. The beauty of Theta Healing is that it can be used in just about any aspect of your life. Whether it be health-related, financial, spiritual, or even relationship-based, Gizella recommends this method of healing to anyone looking for meaningful change in their lives. Tune into this week’s episode of Healerology for a conversation with Gizella Turbok about the power of Theta Healing. Learn more about how Theta Healing works, how it saved Gizella’s life, and how you can utilize it to change the course of your own.    Quotes • “Every illness in the body is just a misalignment.” (05:23-05:25) • "The body has an amazing healing potential ability. If we give the body the opportunities to heal, then the body is going to heal." (09:12-09:22) • “The highest truth is that we are an infinite being. We have the capability to shift things that are misaligned.” (10:07-10:16) • “I truly believe that whatever is inside of us is reflected in the outside world. Our beliefs, feelings, emotions or energies are just projecting backwards to us.” (26:06-26:23)  • “Life is not an easy fix. Life is really getting to know yourself and committing to yourself, committing to your growth, committing to your evolvement and doing it every single day.” (29:33-29:48)   Links https://www.instagram.com/unlimitedhuman_gizella/   DISCLAIMER: THIS WEBSITE AND PODCAST DO NOT PROVIDE MEDICAL ADVICE. 01 – The Unified Theory of Healing with Dr. Paul Canali
“If you can feel it, you can heal it,” says Dr. Paul Canali, founder of Unified Therapy™. Unified Therapy™ is based on the Unified Theory, a concept in the physics world that attempts to identify an overarching connection between all particles and fundamental forces. In line with this theory, Dr. Paul has created a technique that addresses healing on a broad scale, from chronic physical pain to enduring anxiety to an individual’s search for broader self-awareness. Dr. Paul explains to our listeners that life itself is a stressor. As we grow older, we naturally accumulate traumas along the way. While some of these traumas may exist as explicit memories that we are acutely conscious of, many traumatic experiences settle into our bodies as implicit memories that exist on a subconscious, energetic level. These implicit memories can cause a wide range of health issues if they are not properly brought to the surface. Dr. Paul works with his clients to resolve the lasting trauma that often accompanies implicit memories through his unique process of righting the autonomic system. Tune into this week’s episode of Healerology for a conversation with Dr. Paul Canali about the Unified Theory of healing. Learn about the incredible impact implicit memories can have on our health, how to biohack your brain without using psychedelics, and why getting curious about the signals our body gives us is the first step towards somatic healing.   Quotes • “Implicit memory may be the single most destructive force on the entire planet….An implicit memory is a memory that exists energetically inside our body.” (7:27-8:19) • “To really biohack, you’ve got to build a new brain, you’ve got to create neurogenesis. As far as we can tell, there’s a part of the brain called the middle prefrontal cortex that gives you dominion over the fear, dominion over your past, dominion over conditioning.” (12:46-13:07) • “That’s the way we work as human organisms: we need a strong stimulus to get our butt going, to light a fire underneath us….That may start as a minor discomfort or complaint, and a person starts to be introspective and work with it and research it, or often it is unfortunately something very dramatic.” (19:38-20:00) • “Life is a stressor. Early childhood experiences are stressors. Human beings are meant to overcome the stressors, become more resilient.” (34:50-35:01) • “If you do yoga, if you do any physical practice, try to sustain attention on body-based sensations.” (58:00-58:08)   Connect with Dr. Paul Canali http://www.evolutionaryhealinginstitute.com +1-305-667-8174   DISCLAIMER: THIS WEBSITE AND PODCAST DO NOT PROVIDE MEDICAL ADVICE. 03 – Breathwork and Energy with Gina Avellan
“If you’re not successful internally, you're not successful,” says Gina Avellan, breathwork practitioner. After realizing that her life was clouded by anxiety, Gina found it challenging to experience peace and happiness within her daily life. After putting her emotional wellbeing on the back burner for many years, Gina finally decided it was time to seek the help she desperately needed. Ultimately, Gina found healing in breathwork, a somatic technique that she used to improve her mental, physical and spiritual wellness.  While methods like talk therapy and psychotherapy can have a lasting impact, they also have their limitations, and people often find themselves cycling through the same damaging emotional patterns. Gina explains that breathwork allows us to drop out of our controlling thoughts and tap into our subconscious to discover the root causes of our pain. Understanding our emotions and where they originate then allows the body to learn healthy responses for when future problems arise to pave the way for full-fledged healing.  For Gina, the best part of breathwork is the sustainability of the practice. Since it doesn’t require anything besides the ability to breathe, it is the most accessible healing practice no matter where you are. Tune into this week’s episode of Healerology to learn more about Gina’s journey in the medical field and how you can find internal success one breath at a time!    Quotes • “For many people, [exercise] puts them in a meditative state….It puts them in this state of safeness. The body feels safe right now, I can heal. Let me remove some of this energy block that doesn’t serve me. You start trusting the body. Instead of making decisions with your mind, the body knows exactly what to do.” (14:25-14:46) • “People and friends that I had were just kind of disappearing quickly because I was changing and shifting so quickly, and I didn't know what to make of it.” (36:00- 36:11)  • “If you're not successful internally, you're not successful….When you are successful internally and doing your inner work, everything externally happens naturally.” (37:05-37:23) • “With [breathwork] practice, it’s a somatic practice. You’re able to drop the mind, surface the subconscious, and allow the body to heal and release it. Because the body retains 70-75% of that emotion, that feeling.” (44:15-44:30)   Links https://www.instagram.com/ijustbreathe1/   DISCLAIMER: THIS WEBSITE AND PODCAST DO NOT PROVIDE MEDICAL ADVICE.
