Welcome to the Unscripted Healing Podcast where we share unscripted stories about health and healing because everyone has a story and everyone has an Inner Child who wants to be heard. There is so much healing that can happen through real-life storytelling and this podcast creates a safe space for people to share their stories and connect the dots back to their childhood. It also creates an opportunity for YOU, the listener, to find yourself (and your Inner Child) within the stories. So before pressing play, I encourage you to tune into your body because, as you are listening, it may give you clues to your story in the form of “goosebumps,” a pit in your stomach, a lump in your throat, tears in your eyes, or shivers down your spine! Those are all ways that your Inner Child and body are trying to get your attention that there was something in that story for you! And thank you - just for being here - your Inner Child is already starting to feel seen, heard, and loved by you.

Episode #82: From Reps to Relationships: The Ripple Effect of Fitness
Jared Markiewicz’s story started long before opening up his gym, Functional Integrated Training. Growing up as an only child with an absent father working to provide, he often struggled to feel seen. After losing the “big brother” energy he once found with neighborhood friends, Jared carried the sting of abandonment. That wound shaped his mission to become the “big brother” figure he once needed, whether training at his gym, mentoring high-achieving men, or showing up daily for his daughters and the young girls on their team. For over 13 years, Jared has helped busy parents and professionals thrive through strength training, small group coaching, and mentorship. In this heartfelt conversation, Tami and Jared go beyond fitness to explore its impact on fatherhood, failure, and fulfillment. They dive into how childhood experiences shape purpose, why presence matters more than perfection, and the ripple effect of physical health on emotional well-being and relationships. Takeaways: How childhood wounds shape leadership and purpose Fitness as a foundation for emotional connection & self-worth Progress over perfection in growth, parenting, and coaching The power of validation, repair, and mentorship Why being physically healthy impacts kids’ emotional health Connect with Jared:Instagram: @coachjmarkFacebook & LinkedIn: Jared MarkiewiczFunctional Integrated TrainingFIT Legacy

Episode #81: Breaking Through Blocks You Didn’t Know Were There
In this episode of Tami Talks: Unscripted Healing, Tami takes you on a journey of breaking through invisible blocks — but not in the way you might expect. From a hike full of barriers (and bugs) that mirrored life’s obstacles, to the moment in the gym when “I’m dying” really meant “I’m alive,” these stories reveal how fear, conditioning, and old beliefs disguise themselves as protection — when in reality, they’re keeping us stuck. Through lessons in nature, community, and even her own body demanding attention, Tami unpacks what it really means to trust the unseen, lean into intuition, and let faith lead the way. If you’ve been exhausted, second-guessing yourself, or waiting for the “perfect” path to appear, this episode is your reminder that clarity comes in motion — and your path isn’t meant to look like anyone else’s. ✨ You’re not broken. You’re realigning. And sometimes the bugs, the barriers, and even the burn are proof that you’re exactly where you need to be.  Show Notes: 00:00 – Welcome to Unscripted Healing 02:22 – When the Universe Gets Your Attention 04:18 – Lessons from the F45 Community 06:02 – A Live Example of Subconscious Blocks 09:56 – Climbing Higher at Ferry Bluff – what a hike taught me  18:40 – Paving Your Own Path 22:57 – Women Supporting Women 30:47 – What Happens When You “Make It Big” 36:00 – You’re Not Dying in the Gym – 40:16 – What If You Already Knew It Would Work Out? 44:23 – Why This Episode Feels Different 52:31 – When Ego’s Fear Gets Loud 1:00:37 – Asking for Help – from my ex 1:04:00 – Closing Reflections

In this Tami Talks - Soul Talk episode, I sit down with my friend Odalo for a raw, unfiltered conversation about healing, spirituality, and the fire of personal growth. Together, we explore the deeper layers of what it means to grow beyond old patterns, reclaim our truth, and step into authenticity. This isn’t a “typical” self-help chat! Episode #75: Healing the Father Wound: How Relationships Guide Us Back to Our Inner Child
What happens when a relationship shows you the deepest parts of yourself you were previously afraid to face? Episode #70: Gangs, Grind, and the Great Awakening: A Journey from Trauma to Truth
From being jumped into a gang at age 12, to bodybuilding through emotional pain, to chasing escape through substances and NYC underground parties, Jamie’s story is anything but ordinary. In this raw and unfiltered episode of Tami Talks: Unscripted Healing, we explore what it looks like to go from a life built on survival and ego to one rooted in emotional regulation, inner child healing, and radical self-awareness and acceptance. Together, we unpack how early trauma shaped Jamie’s identity, the masks he wore to survive, why you can’t out-lift, out-hustle, or out-numb your pain, and what finally cracked him open to a new way of being where vulnerability became strength and stillness became power. Tami Talks: Stories to Heal Your Inner Child
