Tami Talks: Stories to Heal Your Inner Child
Unscripted Healing
89 episodes
Welcome to the Unscripted Healing Podcast where we share unscripted stories about health and healing because everyone has a story and everyone has an Inner Child who wants to be heard. There is so much healing that can happen through real-life storytelling and this podcast creates a safe space for people to share their stories and connect the dots back to their childhood. It also creates an opportunity for YOU, the listener, to find yourself (and your Inner Child) within the stories. So before pressing play, I encourage you to tune into your body because, as you are listening, it may give you clues to your story in the form of “goosebumps,” a pit in your stomach, a lump in your throat, tears in your eyes, or shivers down your spine! Those are all ways that your Inner Child and body are trying to get your attention that there was something in that story for you! And thank you - just for being here - your Inner Child is already starting to feel seen, heard, and loved by you.

Episode #69: Healing Through Connection: EMDR, Trauma & the Inner Child
In this powerful episode, I sit down with EMDR therapist, trauma specialist, and creator of the Embodied Rise Method, Cassandra Quick, to explore how true healing begins with understanding our inner world. Together, we unpack the emotional layers of trauma, the impact of attachment styles, and the healing power of reconnecting with the inner child. Cassandra shares how modalities like EMDR therapy, EFT tapping, and trauma-conscious yoga can help rewire the nervous system and create a sense of safety in the body. Key Topics Covered: What “parts work” really means—and how our protective parts are trying to help Why so many women were conditioned to suppress anger, and how that shows up today How EMDR works and why it’s so effective for trauma recovery Big T vs Little t trauma—and why all trauma is valid Navigating attachment styles and emotional safety in relationships Tools for emotional regulation, energy shifts, and intuition The 3-step Illuminate Blueprint and the Embodied Rise Method for holistic healing A personal story about being triggered after a big life moment—and how to move through it with grace Whether you’re new to trauma work or deep in the healing process, this episode is a reminder that your triggers are treasures, your body is a messenger, and healing happens when you learn to connect with yourself, with others, and with your story.
