Keith Martin from T2RL
From cryptocurrencies to open banking, the way that customers expect to pay for services is undergoing a revolution. Airlines that best meet customer expectations will have a distinct advantage in the increasingly diverse marketplace. What are the steps that they should be taking as part of their OOSD transformation to ensure that they stay ahead of the curve?

Airline processes have been built on a patchwork of different systems. The move to OOSD offers an opportunity to consolidate and rationalise systems and processes. In particular there should be common product catalogues, pricing systems and offer generation across all channels. What sort of savings will this generate and how can they be achieved?
Airline online customer experience has lagged behind other industries, partly because of restrictions inherent in traditional artefacts including PNRs and tickets. OOSD has the potential to take the brakes off innovation in customer experience. What sort of transformation can we expect in the next few years?
In a wide-ranging conversation Alex Zoghlin, CEO of ATPCO, joins the T2RL team to consider the transition to OOSD. Do we have necessary and sufficient standards in place? Will truly modular solutions be feasible or will the convenience of a one-stop shop come to dominate? Can airlines start to gain value from the first steps on the road rather than waiting for some future promised land? ATPCO has opinions on these and many other questions.
With the publication of T2RL's annual report on the market for Revenue Management and Dynamic Pricing systems, Dieter Westerman and Rasih Ustun talk to Ian Tunnacliffe about where RM fits in the world of OOSD, the growing importance of AI capabilities and the possible pitfalls of Willingness to Pay modelling.
The business case for Offer-Order-Settle-Deliver depends on enhancing airline revenues. Some of that will come from the introduction and expansion of dynamic pricing but what are the other opportunities?
Hear Justin Jander, Director Product Management, PROS in conversation with Rasih Ustun, Jerry Foran and Ian Tunnacliffe, T2RL as they set the stage for one of the key themes of the conference in 2025, 22 - 24 September, London, enhancing revenue.
Ian Tunnacliffe talks to Keith Martin and Ian Luck about the movements and successes highlighted by our latest publications about OOSD and retailing.
While some airlines have gone all-in on direct distribution many will be selling through the travel trade for the foreseeable future. In advance of the T2RLEngage 2024 conference, hear Ian Luck and Emma Forrest in conversation with Ian Tunnacliffe exploring how airlines and their travel agent partners can work together to unlock the value promised by OOSD.
This is a key theme that will be addressed at T2RLEngage, 23 - 25 September in London.

Can the DCS still deliver?
If airlines are to achieve the full benefits of the move to Offers and Orders then the systems that manage the point of delivery must evolve. In this discussion we will consider whether today's DCS can evolve to meet the requirements or if we need a fresh start. Hear Shawn Richards, CEO Ink Innovation in discussion with Ian Tunnacliffe, T2RL as they explore the details.

It sounds simple to include all the information about a customer's interaction with an airline in a single retail-style Order. But 60 years of refinement to processes built on PNRs and tickets mean that there is a definite devil in the detail.
Listen to Bert Craven, Jonathan Hutchinson and Ian Tunnacliffe from T2RL in discussion with Sally Gethin, Aviation journalist & Commentator at Gethin's Inflight News discussing what Orders will look like and how they need to be managed.
As the airline industry moves towards modern retailing and distribution using OOSD the subject of payments becomes more important.
Payments experts Pascal Burg and Anna Almqvist talk to Ian Tunnacliffe about the growing importance of payment orchestration and the options that airlines have about whether to buy in solutions or to build their own.
Both Anna and Pascal will be continuing the conversation at T2RL Engage 2024 in September.

In 2023, passenger volumes closely approached pre-pandemic levels, as detailed in our latest comprehensive Global Passenger Volumes 2023 review. T2RL projections for 2024 are between 4.5 and 4.8 billion passengers boarded. This year may be pivotal for the drive to shift from EDIFACT to New Distribution Capability (NDC).
The level of awareness of NDC among sellers, distributors, and IT vendors is getting higher. In our second OOSD update in 2024 we concentrated on the IATA standards NDC and ONE Order, but over time it has become clear that these are just two aspects of a wider-ranging move to a more retail-oriented approach by the world’s airlines.
In this podcast Ian Tunnacliffe is joined by Bert Craven and Ian Luck to unpick the detail on market initiatives and developments to modernise airline sales and fulfilment technology.

IT Services in the airline industry are changing. The industry has moved from an off-line economy to a digital, always on, economy and is rapidly evolving further into an online retail economy with the transition to Offer / Order / Settle / Deliver (OOSD).
The criticality of IT being always on has never been more apparent. IT services for airlines need to be fit for business purpose. Governance through service management and effective service levels are broadening comprehensively, to cater for the modularisation that OOSD allows. In fact the significance of Service Management and Service Levels is becoming critical.
Hear Paul Heber, VP Service Management, T2RL and Sean Lynch, MD Architecture, Southwest Airlines exploring the evolving requirements with host Ian Tunnacliffe, SVP Consulting & Editor-in-Chief, T2RL.
