The Rush to Fail podcast took a year hiatus but I felt the overwhelming urge to come on and talk about what I witnessed and the impressions that I had within 72 hours of the tragic shooting of Charlie Kirk on the UVU campus.
In this episode, I reflect on the shocking shooting of Charlie Kirk and why it marks another monumental moment in history—the kind where we’ll always remember where we were when we heard the news. I dive into the dangers of echo chambers on social media that isolate us, preventing honest conversations and deepening division in our society.
I also share a personal experience from my visit to Memphis at the site where Martin Luther King Jr. was assassinated, and how it shaped my appreciation for those who risk their comfort, reputation, and even safety to engage in hard conversations in the face of opposition. Their courage reminds us that progress happens when we step into places where disagreement lives and voices need to be heard.
These are my raw and unedited thoughts about history, courage, and the call for us to break through the walls of isolation to connect as humans and continuing to have the difficult conversations in order to keep America as the land of the free and home of the brave.

It has been a LONG time since my last podcast and a LOT has happened.
Today in this solo podcast I discussed some of the latest blog posts over the past 2 months starting with why FACTS trump FEELINGS.
Today’s society is far too concerned with feelings. Just look at the most heated debates in politics. When feelings supersede and overwhelm facts, society suffers.
We talk about the dangers of placing feelings above facts and then I discuss VALUE and how to get ahead by leading with value.
To finish things up I discuss how good things come to those that wait and why I named the podcast RUSH to FAIL.
It is good to be back on the mic!

We are a few weeks shy of our one year mark living in Tennessee as a family! So I decided to have my wife Alexis on the show today to recap our rollercoaster year. By the way, we took the name of this show from one of our favorite rides from Dollywood and the idea of naming our first year after a rollercoaster ride seems very fitting given the way our life has seen the ups and downs and unexpected twists and turns. We have packed a lot of chaos and change in 11 short months. If you want to hear about our journey so far in Tennessee as a family, we lay it all out there for everyone to laugh at and enjoy. We are excited to see what happens next year. Hopefully the title in one year is named after the lazy river. We are ready for a nap people!

Christmas came early when the fed announced they were DONE with fed hikes and can start talking about cuts!
Compared to last year at this time, it is night and day difference. The market withstood the blows from the fed and is poised to have a big year in 2024. So what does this mean for everyone considering purchasing a home? 7% interest rates are your best friends right now...Marry the home and date the rate...This applies more than ever.
We could be at the doorstep of another incredibly competitive and tight seller's market with bidding wars and price increases. Only time will tell but it appears mortgage rates are heading one direction and it's the direction we all like to see!

Today I had the pleasure of interviewing Scott Bowen from Roswell, GA https://www.linkedin.com/in/scott-bowen-re/
Scott is that millionaire next door that you would never know due to his quiet and humble demeanor and servant mindset. But make no mistake about it, Scott has spent close to 2 full decades investing in real estate mainly in the Southeast markets of Alabama & Georgia and he has learned a thing or two over the years of consistently buying every single year that has enabled him to enjoy the fruits of dollar cost averaging & compound interest.
Scott shared his love for the people of Uganda and he has been serving them ever since visiting years ago. Funny enough, he is now the second person from this area who has ties to Uganda. I think I need to travel there with him next time to see what the fuss is about!
If you would like to be coached by someone who will help you get into real estate and buy your first deal, I highly recommend reaching out to him. He is an amazing guy, and I was fortunate to spend some time getting to know more about Scott and his story. Enjoy the show.
