RLC Season 2 ep.13 A chat with David smith an Inspiration
It is rarely in life when you meet someone and they really make you wonder what are you doing. David smith had that impact on me, he pulls you out of your worries and troubles. He makes you realise that you are just here for a short period of time. You can and will be needed to in moments, you will need to be there for yourself. This conversation is delicate and strong as David reveals his 6 cancer surgeries and persistent brushes with death. He feels that pressure of life and how much of things are here for us to respond to. We can live better through action and inaction but making sure we hold down values true to us. Thank you David smith.

RLC Season 2 Ep 12 What happens when you don't unlock that nutrition. A chat with Dr Nicky Keay
This conversation is a perfect follow up to the conversation on ensuring you get the right nutrients. This is all about developing a deeper understanding of what happens to our bodies when we do the correct things. The body will require support to do the things that we require it to do, it sounds simple but so many of us can sometimes not have enough fuel to complete the tasks that we require. Dr Nicky Keay specialises in helping people who find it difficult to balance their input vs their output.

RLC Season 2 Ep 11 The nutrition unlock
It is apparent from conversations that the nutritional balance and unlock is difficult, the key thing is that people will try to find the simplest solution to their nutrion. At times not even eating, this is part of modern culture. We are over run and Jeffrey and I discuss that we need to be intentional with what we do. It is difficult but possible. Jeffrey has built an online community and has a great ethos on living and eating intentionally. Please let us know what you think with a review.

RLC Season 2 Ep. 9 A chat with Jamie Campbell about purpose

In life we forget how much impact we can have on each other, this is something we need to reconsider. You can impact people in so many different ways and that is crucial. The thought about how and why we do things is important, the purpose and meaning we have is crucial. Go into every situation and work out the most important thing driving you and you can maintain the motivation and drive, even when things are not going well.

Be open to tell people you are struggling and how you can be better, find your inner ego and just like Jamie believe that your time is now. Jamie Campbell of Gumbofit gives us all licence to believe in being more.

RLC season 2 Ep 8 How to be a lifestyle architect with Brad Stulberg

In our lives we aim to be the best at our lifestyle, everything has to be perfect. We live in a way that is most of the time unsustainable, moving from one burnout or feeling to another. The best thing about what we can do in life is nurture each part of our lives. Brad presents this theory in our opening dialogue. This conversation encapsulates the psychological tools to be  athletes and human beings. We need also be aware of the ability to just be ''Wei wu wei'' the life we live can happen for us without action.

This episode is powerful and diverges on lots of different themes. It is all about the exploration of who we are and what we can achieve. Use the information in this episode and I think you can really explore more of yourself and others. Be a lifestyle Architect rather than letting life happen to you.

RLC Season 2 Running Culture and the Zero sum game with Tom Crossland

It is important for us to think about the places and spaces we navigate, it is also sometimes how we approach these environments that matters. The zero sum game denotes that there are a limited number of resources and we always need to win to ensure that someone else loses, for instance the competition we can sometimes feel when meeting a new runner. The thing here is that running is a variable sum game, at times you are doing really well, sometimes you may not be, time and fitness can be variable and you are only competing with yourself.

This episode discusses how Tom and I are understanding that we are helping each other and we may or may not win, we are sharing the time and sport. We are galvanised by each other's journey's and how we experience each run. This is about how we can nurture a culture for each other.

Let us know what you think about this episode.

RLC Season 2 Ep 6 A mutual chat around running mechanics

You may have heard about foot strike, running technique and style.

Have you ever thought about how this may impact you?

The fact is there are multiple variables and ways that the body can interact with the ground. It may sometimes feel like people say one is better or more efficient that the other but we need to know the full story. Come on a journey on this podcast. A colleague and good friend Andi and I discuss running biomechanics. Andi is currently studying biomechanics and I get to reminisce on having previously studied biomechanics. I hope it was a light enough conversation and we didn't go too deep and lose you. Leave us with a rating and let us know what you thought!

Train High & Train low RLC ep 5 with Trevor Painter one half of Keeley Hodgkinson training team
Getting better at sport can be all about getting the right information at the right time. Trevor and I discuss the need to work on variable training speeds and the ability to create consistency. We are both coach's who focus on the athlete, train the athlete rather than training someone to fit the event. We are both really forward thinking in the way we want people to approach sport and how they can engage in the biological systems.

RLC Season 2 ep 4 Jason Tuori Injury prevention a paradigm

Injury prevention, it really should be injury risk reduction. Jason a Physical therapist joins me on the RLC podcast to discuss the injury risks and what we need to consider. The inevitability of injury is something we should embrace, not if but when. What do you need to do.

This was a great chat, let me know if you have any questions and let's make sure we inform ourselves of how we can stay active and bounce back from any setbacks.
