Uros and I discuss the power of connection, connecting to others, We share stories about we have and need to connect with our fathers, and discuss why it is important to connect. We also share a few example of how we connect, and we reflect and agree that connecting with others is more important now that it has ever been
After a long absence, I have joined my very good friend Dr Theo Soutzos. The topic today is taking responsibility, which means putting your head above the parapet. It also means that you need strong communication skills to navigate your way around your political environment. However we all need to confirm to fit in within society. We look at it from a few different angles. I hope you enjoy our conversation.
This was the last episode I recorded with my good friend and mention Dr Soutzos live in the UK.
We discussed the journey we all go on, and how the pandemic really made the final penny drop for me - and made me realise what its about.
This podcast is shorter than normal, but I had a lovely conversation with my friend Theo, and I hope you enjoy it too.
The definition of career has always intrigued me. Is it old fashioned, is it being conditioned from our upbringing. Theo and I discuss what we think it means, what it evokes, and leading us to what we think is really important.
How many of us take a step back on a regular basis in our daily lives and at work?
This episode was inspired by a whatsapp conversation I had with Uros the other day, about regaining the right perspective and keeping things simple.
Sometime we are a slave to our daily routine, and sometimes taking a step back can make a real difference
This was a rare episode with my two friends Dr Soutzos and Andy. This was a simultaneous podcast with Reasons For Now. We looked at the last year to see if any lessons had been learnt a year on. And as often happens when the 3 of us are together, we went off on a few interesting tangents. This was recorded in our favourite coffee bar in Ealing, West London.
Dr Theo Soutzos and I discussed what Identity really is, what are the symptoms and consequences of not having an identity, and how you can find and work on your identity. Its always interesting to talk to Dr Soutzos because of his past experience has a top psychiatric, as well as being a good friend.
A few weeks ago my dog died. I held him in my arms a few minutes after he passed away. From one minute to the next I started crying infront of my two kids and my wife. This made me think about men showing vulnrability today - in the 21st century. I had the pleasure of having this conversation not only with my regular guest Theo ( Dr Soutzos), but also with our friend Andy. We discussed if men of my age are showing their vulnerable side, and is it a strength or weakness. As usual we digressed a little, but again we really enjoyed our conversation together - I hope you do too.
It was an honor to have an interesting conversation with my regular guest, Dr The Soutzos. We did a A week ago the UK home secretary - a senior minister in the UK Government was considering changing the Uk maritime law, to force the immigrants sailing from France to the Uk to be forced to return back to France. It seems that this was not thought through at all, and has strained diplomatic relations between the UK and France. We attempted to define what diplomacy is, and why it is important in all aspects of life - on an international level down to societal level.
The other day I met a successful and happy business man. It made me ask the question; What is success? How do you define success? Dr Soutzos and I tried to define success. There is the modern day definition, our take on the definition, as well as looking back in history to help us define success. Our discussion also digressed and covered happiness and identity. I hope you enjoy it us much as we enjoyed recording it.
This topic is close to my heart as you will discover when you listen to this episode. It is a story that starts 37 years ago, and together with my very good friend Dr Soutzos we unravel the story and try to understand what happened and why.
Dr Soutzos and I discuss the meaning and importance of identity, especially when you link this with happiness.
We also continue were we left off with fantasy and reality.....
I hope you enjoy the conversation.
I am privileged to record another podcast with my great friend Dr Soutzos - in our favorite coffee bar, over a delicious croissant and coffee. We discuss goals vs living in the moment, and trying to clarify what reality actually means. We also discuss the flip side; fantasy, what it means and why.
My good friend Carlisle and I discussed what it is important to be true to your self, and finding out who you really are. We shared experiences on how we started that journey to discover yourself and get to know yourself, and ultimately being happy in your own company.
We also discussed the power of words. Words are a very powerful communication tool, and once words are out, ' you can't hoover them back in.'
Words can also have a profound affect on the people closest to you, and sometimes taking a little more time to think before we speak really makes a difference.
I had a great conversation with my good friend Lukas, and our topic was relationships. We discussed all aspects of what a relationship is, mainly in a business context. We tried to define what a relationship is , why have a relationship, as well as the key benefits. We shared our own stories in this great free flowing conversation. I hope you enjoy it as much as we enjoyed recording it. Thank you, Alexis
It was privilege for my good friend Dr Soutzos to accompany me on this podcast. Leadership has always been a topic that I find fascinating. Theo and I look at all what makes a good Leader, are Leaders born, what are the key traits of a good leader, and what are benefits when there is a great leader at the helm of a company. I hope you enjoy our conversation, and thank you for listening.
Happiness is one of those words that is often used but rarely spoken about in any detail.
My good friend Dr Soutzos and I look at happiness from a few different angles. In our conversation we try to define happiness, discuss why people are unhappy, and more importantly what makes people happy.
Dr Soutzos also provides a few highlights from a few credible happiness studies that have been carried out - together with their conclusions.
I hope you enjoy our conversation, and thank you for listening.
It would be great if you can hit the subscribe button, and don't forget you can find us on all the well known podcast platforms including Spotify and Apple Podcasts.
I had an interesting discussion with Dr Soutzos - who has many years experience as a top Psychiatrist.
The topic Isolation came out from the consequences of all these lockdowns over the past year.
How is isolation affecting different types of people, what are the knock on effects to your daily life and work.
Has this new isolation brought up new challenges?
We discuss real life situations and talk from our own experiences as to how this has affected us and others.
It is always better to look forward. But with the year we have just had, we look back on the last unique 12 months, and use some of that as inspiration to plan and look forward for the coming year ahead.
It was my pleasure to invite back Thomas from the US to get his perspective, from an intelligent, interesting and mature man who is in his early 20's.
I am very proud that my friend Philip Holt was able to join me on this podcast. I first met him at a conference a few years ago in Amsterdam. The conference was focused around Operational Excellence and Philip was one of the key speakers. We elaborated on these words and shared examples on how they apply in the commercial world.
