Welcome to the first episode of Journaling Through the Foundation of Our Faith.
This week we’re digging into Chapter 1 of 20 Basic Beliefs Every Christian Should Know by Wayne Grudem and exploring one of the most important questions we can ask—can the Bible really be trusted?
In my discipleship group, we’ve been reading this book and it’s been sparking so many good conversations. This chapter in particular lays the foundation for how we view Scripture and why it matters so much to our walk with God.
Together we’ll walk through what the Bible says about itself and reflect on four key truths
• Authority• Clarity• Necessity• Sufficiency
Journaling Questions:
What have I believed about the Bible up until now?Do I truly see it as God’s Word—or have I treated it more like a helpful book or moral guide?
How does knowing that all Scripture is “breathed out by God” shift the way I approach reading the Bible?
What does that mean for my daily life and decisions
If you’ve ever stared at a blank page wondering how to start journaling in a way that actually draws you closer to God, this episode is for you. I’m breaking down 5 biblical styles of journaling. Each practice is rooted in scripture designed to help you deepen your faith and find clarity in your walk with God.
We’ll talk about:
✨ Prayer Journaling – pouring your heart out on paper
✨ Gratitude Journaling – noticing God’s goodness in the everyday
✨ Reflection Journaling – processing life through a spiritual lens
✨ Scripture Journaling – meditating on God’s Word with intention
✨ Vision Journaling – dreaming with God about what’s next
No matter your season, there’s a journaling style that can meet you where you are, and lead you back to Him.
💭 Journal Prompt for Today:
“Which type of journaling do I feel drawn to right now, and what might God want to show me through it?”
You don’t have to be perfect at this. You just have to be present.
Sometimes the hardest part of journaling is just knowing how to begin. If you’ve ever stared at a blank page wondering, “Now what?” this episode is for you.
We’re breaking the pressure off perfection and making space for simple, sacred connection. Inside this episode, I’ll walk you through how to start journaling in a way that feels doable, not daunting, even if writing isn’t your thing.
You’ll learn:
🖊️ Why starting small can still be powerful
🖊️ How consistency beats word count every time
🖊️ The beauty of writing without judgment
🖊️ How your journaling can evolve with your seasons
This isn’t about being a writer. It’s about being real. Because journaling isn’t a performance. It’s a practice of presence with God.
💭 Journal Prompt for Today:
“God, I’m here. What’s one thing You want me to notice today?”
Start there. Trust that He’ll meet you on the page.
Hey love! In this episode, we’re diving into the real power of journaling—and why it’s so much more than a cute notebook and a pretty pen. I recently came across an article by Peachey Counselling called “The Power of Journaling for Your Mental Health,” and it confirmed what I’ve known through years of lived experience—journaling is a powerful tool for healing, clarity, and connection with God.
In this episode, I break down 5 mental health benefits of journaling shared in the article, while adding the biblical lens that makes it even more transformative. We talk about:
📝 How journaling helps you regulate emotions like David did in the Psalms
🧠 Why it reveals patterns and supports renewing your mind
🕊️ How it clears mental clutter and helps you cast your cares on God
💛 How it boosts your mood and creates space for emotional healing
📓 And how it supports goal-setting and keeps you aligned with God’s purpose for your life
If your heart’s been heavy or your thoughts feel all over the place, this might be the simple practice your soul’s been craving.
JOURNALING PROMPT: “God, here’s what’s been heavy on my heart…”
Start here. Be honest. Be messy. God’s not looking for perfection—He’s looking for connection.

Have you ever felt pulled toward something—over and over again—even after trying everything else?
In this episode, I’m sharing the honest truth about what it’s looked like for me to rediscover my calling in this new season of life as a mom, a wife, and a woman growing deeper in her identity in Christ.
I’ve explored it all—YouTube, LinkedIn, Instagram, even TikTok—but nothing has felt as aligned or as peaceful as podcasting. My soul kept whispering it, and I’m finally choosing to listen.
I’ll take you behind the scenes of my heart, share a personal journal entry, and open up about the mission behind this podcast: helping women—especially moms—find clarity and balance through journaling, faith, and living in alignment with God’s purpose.
If this episode encourages you, I’d be so grateful if you rated and reviewed the show—it truly helps more women find this space.
📖 Scriptures Mentioned:
📝 Journal Prompt for You:What is one or two things you believe God is calling you to do?
In today’s episode, I’m sharing the story of how a simple road trip turned into a life-changing moment that deepened my relationship with God. What started as an ordinary journey sparked a faith transformation I never saw coming.
I’ll reflect on the powerful truth in John 15:16—"You did not choose me, but I chose you…"—and how even a line from a Katt Williams comedy routine, "You have to believe in something," led to a conversation that opened my eyes in ways I couldn’t imagine. You can check out that clip here: Katt Williams - You have to believe in something.
In this episode I’ll talk about the challenges I faced in finding my own way to God, building a personal relationship with Him, and how it shifted my mindset. No matter where you are on your journey, it’s never too late to seek God and start fresh.
Tune in to hear about how I embraced my unique spiritual path and how you can do the same!
In this video, I explore the powerful message from Rick Warren’s A Purpose Driven Life, particularly the chapter titled "It's Not About You." This chapter challenges us to shift our focus away from ourselves and toward God's greater plan. It’s a message that hits home for me as I reflect on my personal journey, especially when I launched my podcast in 2021.
Looking back, I realized that I didn’t always consult with God on what to share, often seeking approval from others instead of listening to Him. This led to discouragement and burnout. But through this chapter, I’m reminded that true purpose is not about what I want, but what God wants for me.
As I refocus my efforts on becoming who God created me to be, I'm reminded of Matthew 7:7-8, which encourages us to keep asking, seeking, and knocking. This video is about taking small steps, being obedient to God, and realizing that success and fulfilling your life purpose are not the same thing. It’s not about me—it’s about Him.
Join me as I share how I'm applying these lessons in my life and how you can do the same by focusing on what really matters.
In this week's podcast episode. I had the pleasure of chatting with Jiselle Gilliard Jegousse the creator of Mighty Emotions. Jiselle teaches us how to use our emotions as tools to get unstuck & enhance our lives. This conversation is jammed packed with so many gems about self confidence, what self trust looks like daily for us. We also shared what our emotions are trying to tell us.

The fear of success is real. If you're anything like me... You've had this vision that God has placed on your heart for a while now. When things start to actually work out. You might be waiting for the other shoe to drop. Spoiler alert... We're the ones who untie the shoelaces. When we start seeing success in our lives based on your own standards. If you aren't use to celebrating your accomplishment no matter how big or small they may seem. Your brain isn't able to keep up and in turn comes up with ways to bring us back to what were use to... even if its not what we want.
In this episode, I share why its important to be aware of the ways the fear of success can show up in our lives. The fear of success can quickly and easily sneak in to throw further away from success instead of running towards our definition of success with open arms.

My therapist asked me the following question. What's the benefit of your pain? I didn't know how to answer this question and I didn't fully understand why the question was being asked in the first place. I thought to myself...umm there's no benefits to the pain i'm experiencing. Then I realized there was actually a lot of benefits that I was choosing to hold onto. Once I learned that I was in control of holding onto old beliefs or baggage that was no longer serving me. I was able to start to process of deconditioning.

The process of letting go is so freeing once you understand the beauty on the other side. I know what it feels like to build up walls to protect yourself. But I'm here to tell you. You don't have to build up walls in order to heal. We actually need to do the complete opposite and let go of the things that trigger us. In this week's podcast episode, I'll share my current experimentation with letting go. I believe our hearts want to stay open and it's only in our awareness that we are able to decide we’re no longer going to close our hearts.
I'd love to hear your perspective on this topic! Send me a message to share what resonated with you the most.

Wow I can't believe it's been a full year since I started my podcast! In all honesty, I was very nervous about starting a podcast. I had all this doubt and self judgment which led to procrastination!
But I did it and now I get to look back and reflect on all the lessons i've learned during my first year of podcasting. It's been a transformation to say the least. I've learn so much about myself this past year and I can't wait to share my insights in this week's episode.

Last week I felt called to share what I had been reading in Joyce Meyers: How to Hear from God.
There was on specific portion of the book that touched on using our natural talents and how they are directly correlated with your purpose on this earth. For so long I tried to dim my natural talents because I had this belief that life is meant to be hard. I believe its hard when we aren't in alignment with God will.
I hope you enjoy this pre-recorded IG live.

Manifestation is in the bible... It's called Faith. I feel like there's so much judgement around this new aged way of thinking. To be honest, I've fallen into the idea of manifestation and that I was fully in control over God. I believe that's where I missed the mark in the beginning. In this week's podcast episode I share my perspective on Manifestation and how its actually already in the bible.
*I would love to grow this podcast, so if you feel led to share. Please do! The more people who listen the bigger our community can grow*
