Move on up

Beech, our step down service for people who have been discharged from our inpatient wards, has converted a previously unused space into a new 24 hour gym area for people staying at the site.

The equipment was funded by kind donations to Sheffield Hospitals Charity and includes a rowing machine, treadmill, air bike and boxing pads.

And the team has even more plans to help service users get moving, thanks to the £500 we raised during our collective charity marathon, or charathon, last December!

In the podcast, Ellie, Emily, Gabby and Steve discuss:

  • SHSC’s research development unit and its work
  • Lived experience involvement in research and its benefits
  • Ellie’s role as a dedicated lived experience research ambassador and the progress of lived experience involvement
