This week's episode features Katrina Bell, founder of The Copper Bell. Katrina is creating one funny label at a time as she powers through as an ‘accidental’ business owner. Katrina followed the traditional route of post secondary, landing different jobs as she evolved through the corporate world and starting her family. Then the pandemic hit and she became a statistic along with many others by losing her job.
Luckily and really unknowingly, Katrina already had a back up plan – making candles with amazing smells and very humorous labels. This reflects Katrina’s personality to a T. She is funny, doesn’t take herself or life too seriously and has a sense for scents!
In April of 2020 she said – ‘well let’s give this candle thing a go and see what happens.’ Prior to this her candles were being made for friends, family and herself as she found she was sensitive to scents and often would get headaches from them. She continually receives reviews, compliments and comments about how scent-sensitive people can enjoy candles again thanks to The Copper Bell.

This week's episode features Samantha Patil is the Co-Founder and CEO of Well Traveled -- A members-only travel platform that is filled with like-minded people who have the hook up to a perfect trip.
This is a place where people can go to get recommendations, plan trips, and get little discounts along the way. Samantha is on a mission to change the way people travel. She is highlighting the perks that make taking a trip memorable, exciting, and full of adventure. Where work remote is inevitable, she has created a platform where people can stop creating excuses and start living in the now.
“Travel has been part of my life since I was very young (I took my first international flight at just six months old!) and it's something I am truly passionate about sharing with others. My mom built her career as a travel agent and my dad traveled three weeks out of the month for work so you could say travel is truly in my DNA. I love exploring new places but always hated wasting hours researching and never being able to find recommendations for the types of things I wanted to do, from people I could relate to. The idea for Well Traveled was born. So if you're someone who prefers to travel more like a local and less like a tourist, Well Traveled is for you. Now I may be just a little bit biased, but I think you're going to love it.” -Samantha

As a fashion and lifestyle blogger, Emma share's everything from fashion trends to try each season to content creation tips. She loves sharing posing ideas, Instagrammable places, as well as her journey as a content creator.
Emma also co-hosts the Content Creatives Podcast with her friend and fellow Seattle content creator Maddy from @madcrayy. Together they share how aspiring influencers and small businesses can discover, grow, and own their brand.
Prior to taking her creative career full-time, Emma worked in the aerospace industry for 6 years. She supported the 787 program, Airplane on the Ground (AOG), as well as Everett Site Operations in project management and business operations roles. She also worked in the consumer packaged goods industry for a year after undergrad.
We discuss how Emma first got into the influencer industry, when she knew she wanted to make this her full-time career, organically growing her following on social media, creating her courses & multiple streams of income, and much more!
