From Vision to Impact: Building Community Wellness with The WOMB Bruce County

In this episode of the Made It Happen podcast, host Sarah Haefling interviews Jessica Connor and Cassidy Radic, co-owners of The WOMB Bruce County. They share their journey of starting the business, which provides various health and wellness services, catering to a wide range of clients including new mothers.

Jessica Connor is a Fertility, Birth, and Postpartum Doula, as well as a Holistic Reproductive Practitioner, serving Bruce County and the surrounding area. Her passion for childbirth grew from a deep fascination with the human body and its incredible ability to do hard things.

Beyond her work, Jessica is a proud mom of two boys, dog-mom to three, and is supported by her husband who continually encourages her to follow her dreams. She is also the co-owner of The WOMB Bruce County, where she pours her heart into supporting and strengthening her community.

Cassidy Radic is a Registered Health & Nutrition Counsellor with over a decade of experience helping individuals and families find balance in their health and wellness. She brings clarity and simplicity to what can often feel like an overwhelming world of nutrition, guiding you to discover what truly works for you and your family.

After welcoming her first child during the early days of the pandemic, Cassidy recognized how deeply families needed support, connection, and community—sparking the creation of The WOMB Bruce County. As co-owner, she is passionate about nurturing families through every stage of their journey, while continuing to learn, grow, and navigate motherhood herself.

They discuss the initial challenges of starting a business, including finding the right location, and highlight the importance of community support and collaborative care in their growth. They also talk about the dynamics of their partnership, how they've managed to balance their personal lives while running the business, and the strategies they've implemented to streamline operations. The episode provides valuable insights for aspiring entrepreneurs on the significance of passion, community engagement, and collaboration in building a successful business.
