I’m almost 32 weeks (!) and deep in nesting mode — fresh paint, projects everywhere, and a cozy house soundtrack courtesy of a Día de los Muertos Pandora station. We built our first ofrenda to honor our grandparents, our three spirit babies, and this little boy who’s “in between,” and I share what we left out (taco soup, orange slices, pumpkin cake, and a Diet Dr Pepper for Grandpa). We also talk third-tri insomnia & reflux (what’s actually helping me sleep), and then hop into Couples Therapy to answer: “If my partner keeps falling asleep mid-conversation… is that divorce-worthy?” Plus: a feel-good story out of Portland, a quick TV roundup (Only Murders S4 actually stuck the landing!), and the internet tea: Kat Stickler × John Mayer?
What we cover
• Nesting & bumpdate: painting the house, seasonal cozy, weekly cravings (Cheez-Its + chocolate chip cookies 😅)
• Our Día de los Muertos ofrenda: how we set it up, what we offered, and a sweet visitation dream
• Third-trimester sleep toolkit: what’s worked for me (½ Unisom, generic Pepcid, magnesium) — and listening to your body
• Couples Therapy: falling asleep mid-talk — health red flags vs. relationship red flags, and what to try first
• Good news spotlight: a Portland coffee shop rallying funds for neighbors who lost SNAP benefits
• Pop culture picks: Only Murders in the Building S4, E.T. rewatch, Kardashians, DWTS, Selling Sunset (aka my iPad-baby show), and the Kat Stickler + John Mayer dating buzz
• Words of the Week: Inspired (Adam) & Sleepy-but-Motivated (me)

This week feels like a deep exhale. We share about our blended-culture baby shower (Ojibwe, Nordic, and Mexican roots all in one celebration).
In Couples Therapy, we talk about how our communication has evolved — how we repair faster, fight softer, and sometimes just need to touch first, talk later. We also share the small changes that have made a big difference lately — from ditching the massive pregnancy pillow to finally sleeping through the night again.
We wrap with some cozy life updates: Adam’s eight-minute mile comeback, lemon-blueberry cake cravings, our new solstice traditions, and a few pop culture mentions that made us laugh (hi, Kim’s mummy mask).

We’re officially into the third trimester and feeling both protected and prepared. This week we talk about finding redemption in small traditions (hi, Breeden’s Orchard 🍎), what pregnancy weight gain really looks like and why it’s healthy, and an iron-supplement routine that’s finally working. We also unpack our different “calendar brains” (24-hour vs. weekly) and how that impacts friendships, hobbies, and making space for each other as we head into parenthood.
Plus: navigating different beliefs and holidays with kids, pop-culture check-ins, what we’re watching (from Critical Role to Only Murders in the Building), and our Words of the Week. Cozy vibes, honest talk, and a little mead by the fire pit.
Highlights
• Local shout-out: Breeden’s Orchard & a sweet full-circle moment
• Iron, vitamin C, probiotics: the morning stack that’s helping digestion

• Couples therapy topic: aligning planning styles & expectations
• Navigating different beliefs with curiosity and blended traditions

This week gets real. I open up about the wild timing between an ended friendship and finally getting pregnant with our baby boy — a piece to the story I’ve been hinting at for months. Adam and I dive into “Couples Therapy” to talk mismatched libidos (yep, we said it 😬), how pregnancy shifts intimacy, and why it’s actually okay to be honest about what works for you.
Then we wrap with the “Pop Culture Breakdown,” covering the Kardashians shocker of Rob & Caitlyn’s return, Rihanna’s baby girl (!!), and a medical breakthrough that blew our minds. Word of the week? “Creative.” Because baby prep and creative projects are officially in crunch time.

This week is a mix of nerves and magic — Adam literally heard our baby kick for the first time (!!) and we talk all about that surreal moment, plus my looming glucose test and the anxiety that comes with it. 🤰🏽✨
In Couples Therapy, we tackle one of the most relatable marriage debates: what do you do when you can’t agree on what to watch? From divvying up nights to forcing your partner into your favorite niche show, to realizing TV might not always be the answer — we share our system.
Then in Pop Culture Breakdown, Tom Holland suffers a scary on-set concussion while filming Spider-Man, Bad Bunny is officially headlining the 2026 Super Bowl halftime show (a global cultural reset incoming), and we share the sweetest positive news story — a woman who donated her entire $150k Powerball winnings to charity. 🥹
We wrap up with our Words of the Week: Adam’s is Hopeful and mine is Persevere. Two reminders we’re holding onto in this next week.

This week we’re in full nesting mode, reflecting on eclipse season and why fighting just doesn’t work for us. 🌒 After eight years of marriage and only a handful of “big fights,” we unpack how we’ve learned to self-reflect instead of project, why trust is everything, and how some couples metabolize anger differently.
In Couples Therapy, we get into how to handle conflict without blowing up, and why holding out for the right person makes all the difference.
Then in Pop Culture Breakdown, Adam actually brings good political news (yes, you read that right): New Mexico is rolling out free childcare for families. 👏🏽 We also dive into Dancing with the Stars drama — Alix Earle, Whitney Leavitt, Robert Irwin thirst trapping, and Jen Affleck who is postpartum while being thrown around eight weeks after giving birth. Plus, Elon Musk (aka elongated muskrat 🐀) family news, and why Kim Kardashian shut down her SKKN line to double down on Skims and prison reform.
We wrap with our Words of the Week: Forward and Progress. It’s giving cozy season, nesting energy, and letting the next chapter come to us. ✨

Welcome baaaaaack!
On 9/9 we did a fire ritual where we wrote down nine things we were ready to release and literally watched them burn. 🔥 It was equal parts clarifying, exhausting, and freeing — which sums up this pregnancy week pretty well.
In Couples Therapy, we tackle one of the hardest questions: how do you make big life decisions together when you want different things? We talk about finding common ground, why you don’t always need to agree, and why we’ve always said divorce is on the table (yep, we go there). Adam also shares his simple but underrated relationship hack: go on a walk. 🚶♀️
Then in Pop Culture Breakdown, we celebrate Bachelor Nation’s chaotic resurrection with Taylor Frankie Paul as the new Bachelorette (a move we didn’t see coming but are so here for). Plus, the Harry Styles + Zoë Kravitz romance rumors — complete with Channing Tatum side chatter.
We close with our Words of the Week:Relieved and Balance. Two vibes we’re both clinging to as life finally slows down (except for my dreaded glucose test next week 😬).

This week, Adam and I are catching you up on all the things — starting with our baby shower! 💙 The theme was Heaven Is a Place on Earth and we talk about what it meant to us after everything we’ve walked through.
In Couples Therapy, we dig into a big question: what’s the best way to support your partner through a hard season? We get real about compatibility, how we’ve learned to leave space for each other, and the ways we’ve both shown up differently during our toughest moments — from miscarriages to everyday stress.
Then in Pop Culture Breakdown, Adam brings the wildest political headline of the week (Trump declaring “war” on Chicago 😳) and I share Justin Bieber’s Swag 2 (44 tracks of pure chaos, and honestly, I kind of love it).
We close out with our Words of the Week: Alignment and Ease.
It’s a mix of heartfelt, hilarious, and a little unhinged — aka classic us.
This week, I share the wild dream that convinced me this December baby was always meant to be — bruises, shots, and all. 🌈💉 It’s one of those full-circle pregnancy stories that still gives me chills.
In Couples Therapy, Adam and I get real about why you should always take photos of your partner, and how to keep romance alive when life is crazy busy (hint: quickies on the couch aren’t just for teenagers). 🐇🔥
For Pop Culture Breakdown, we spiral into Trump facelift conspiracies, Guillermo del Toro’s Frankenstein revival, and the sad chaos of Lil Nas X’s recent arrest.
We wrap up with our Words of the Week: mine is Grind (because I’m locking in before our baby shower), and Adam’s is Refresh.
It’s raw, funny, and maybe a little too honest… but that’s La La La. 💫
This week’s episode is a ride — we start with a story about the “three clouds” prophecy I was once told and how it strangely tied into my miscarriages and this rainbow pregnancy. 🌈 It’s wild to look back now and connect the dots.
In Couples Therapy, Adam and I dive into the small stuff that can snowball into big arguments — you know, the socks on the floor, the dishes in the sink. We get real about why nitpicking happens, how to stop fighting over nothing, and why saying thank you for the little things is basically a relationship cheat code. 💌
Then it’s time for Pop Culture Breakdown: Britney Spears is back on the timeline (this time posting naked pics in knee-high boots with a rose emoji 🍑🌹), and we unpack why the internet still doesn’t know how to handle her. Plus, the new horror movie Good Boy went viral after everyone demanded to know one thing — does the dog survive? (Spoiler: yes, the dog lives 🐶).
We close out with our Words of the Week: Present and Restorative. Two vibes we’re carrying into our babymoon, birthday celebrations, and this whole new chapter of life.
It’s heartfelt, a little unhinged, and totally us. Tune out the noise and tune into La La La. 💫
We’re back, babes — and we couldn’t stay away if we tried. In our very first (okay, technically 0.5) episode of La La La, Adam and I sit down to shake off the podcast rust, laugh through the awkward intros, and share some huge life news: we’re having a baby boy! 💙
We catch you up on where we’ve been, what it felt like to pause after walking through loss, and how it feels to finally be over halfway in this pregnancy — yes, the little kicks are here and they’re everything. 🍼✨
In our first Speed Round, we get into what we’re listening to (spoiler: Adam may or may not have a slight obsession with fictional drama podcasts and way too many MGK/Megan Fox details), plus what’s on our podcast queue (Good Guys and Pursuit of Wellness).
For our debut Couples Therapy segment, we talk about the whole “lesbian relationship” meme and what it means to challenge outdated gender roles in marriage — with plenty of laughs, hot takes, and a few nerd cluster shoutouts along the way.
And in the Pop Culture Breakdown, we chat about Gavin Newsom trolling Trump on Threads, Pete Davidson’s latest headline-grabbing relationship, and the internet’s obsession with celebrity drama.
We wrap it up with our very first Word of the Week: Adam's is Fresh 🍊 (because fresh starts, fresh vibes, and yes — even fresh wounds), and mine is Innovative.
It’s messy, it’s real, it’s us — welcome to La La La. We’re so happy you’re here. 💛
