It’s giving free therapy. It’s giving that tuff love hermana that just wants to see YOU do well. It’s giving get your note pad out, stop making excuses and make shit happen. (You've Got This!!)
This month I really wanted the month of November to represent reflection. For this podcast to carry therapeutic energy.
Why are we leaving resolutions at the end of December and having to panic and rush, what we want to achieve for the new year when we can just do it now and take pace with it.
This is a reminder that you can always start over.
What you did yesterday, last week, last month, last
year, does not define you. Every moment is a new
chance to be a better version of yourself. So whatever
wrong you felt you did or mistakes you've made that
your mind is constantly replaying causing you to suffer,
does not define the rest of vour life. It is never too late
to make new choices, to change your perspective, to try
harder, to take a risk, to be happy. Stop focusing on
what was taken away, be grateful that you have the
opportunity to learn and apply that wisdom to each
new encounter in your life.
Surviving depression whilst battling seasonal depression, fu*king hell will we ever catch a break?! As the year starts to come to a close and the weather gets gloomier, I know that a lot of us fall victim to the phenomenon we call Seasonal Depression. Days seem to become longer, and our tempers become shorter. This podcast breaks down different ways to break away the winter blues and just "GO! GO! GO!". ( Literally, You've got this! xox)
Welcome Back To HermanasClub, Leah Rodriguez is back and speaks on on the power of the mind.
Letting Go and letting God. Finding that clarity of who you are and saying No to things that just don't fulfil you anymore. The way you carry yourself is how people will perceive you some may say, but if you act like a doormat and a pussy pleaser then you will come across like a doormat and a pussy pleaser. Why are we so afraid of what strangers think of us?… stay tuned to find out more!

The Gym, the sweat box, the piccadilly line at 5pm, the congested nut sack or some may call it the anxiety box, an hour or more of working out on you. if it’s your dream body, revenge body, mental health, keeping active or for the grown adults that have no social life… a youth centre they pay monthly for (oops) This podcast speaks about gym etiquette and protecting your space and boundaries by simply saying "NO!".
Moral of the story is, Don't interrupt someone when they are in the middle of a set. I would assume this to be common sense but clearly it isn't. If you need to know how many sets someone has left, wait until they are finished to ask. Let's start there.

This is your sign to book that women's circle! I got invited down to an event hosted by the incredible The Afro Animist Podcast. A day for Black and Mixed black women to come together to heal and share stories. This podcast goes deep within my own personal emotions on PTSD and how to help others in supporting Black Mental Health and beating the stigma.
Often Black women and girls have to navigate the “Strong Black Woman Syndrome”; the idea of putting an “S” on your chest and declaring yourself a super heroine in order to manage the daily racial occurrences. However, there is a negative impact that can lead to burn out and tax on your mental health.
Historically, the media has portrayed Black females as one-dimensional, putting the needs of others before their own and showing how they can accomplish it all while pushing through the pain, but today Black females are reclaiming this damaging narrative and reimagining what it means to put your wellbeing first. That's why protecting the mental health of Black women and girls is vital and having safe, affordable, and inclusive Black wellness spaces is so important.

A man in feminine is basically an energy vampire. It’s like you’re competing with yourself. A woman, an annoying sister. A full blown girlfriend. He will drain you and he needs MOTHERING not a girlfriend. He needs help fixing and he needs direction. He’s going to put you in your masculine energy and you are going to burn out. If you are in a situation like that Leah Rodriguez highly recommends that you are single. Get single, stay single and rest up. Recuperate your energy that’s been sucked away by this parasite. If he needs mothering he can go back to his mothers left breast. While you work on your own self because baby you will get back to being you. You just need some shine, some TLC and the lack of tolerance for low effort and bullshit especially from men.
(I am currently on a mini vacation and done this podcast on the comfort of the balcony so please excuse the wind but truly missed speaking to you all and hope the wind doesn't affect your joy in listening. I felt the topic was so important to share with you all with learning the power of words, not settling for any man, healing and saying NO to things that don't better or progress you in life. Besos!) A journey of self-discovery refers to finding who you are on a deeper level from travel, pilgrimage, or series of events where a individual attempts to determine how they feel, personally, about spiritual issues or priorities, rather than following the opinions of family, friends, or peer pressure from social media. Leah Rodriguez is back and speaks on the term “ Hoe” and “ Retirement” and how the two correlates with self-discovery in this generation especially being a young woman in her 20s and having to deal with stereotypes that come with that. The standards have been set for women from just being forced to focus on finding a man, rising a child and a household. Nothing more, nothing less. Well No Thank-You!
Acknowledging who you are with the sprinkle of the positive and the negative and understanding it is totally okay to not want to participate in the stereotypical 20+-year-old wanting to get ‘hammered’ every night or having to rush yourself to grow up with the thought of having to do so. Self-discovery is the new retirement, from taking time out for yourself, booking brunches, attempting solo trips and activities and making more time to connect with what you love; family, friends and hobbies. You’ve got this!

Soft life at its core, is another way of describing easy living. To declare that you want a soft life is to say you want a life of enjoyment, comfort, no stress, and a life that allows you to put in minimal effort and get maximum comfort and results as the output but we dived into the real side of "Soft Life" (mmm mmm). Leah Rodriguez is back and speaks on societies taboo subject of what "Feminism" has truly become and as a woman if you don't agree with certain women topics it is a straight "You Are A Pick Me" a "Hater" or overall think your better than everyone else when that is truly not the case. As Leah Rodriguez mentions in the podcast "Feminism has nothing to do with you breaking your anal glad for an overpriced cocktail, teriyaki chicken with sushi on the side." Some may say city girls up or some may say get a job. Grab a cocktail or a hot brevvv and tune in babs!

Are you questioning who you are? Maybe what your purpose is, or what your values are? If so, you may be going through what some call an identity crisis. Loss of identity can result in increased levels of anxiety, low self-esteem, depression, a loss of self-confidence, social anxiety, isolation, chronic loneliness, all of which threaten our ability to connect with modern day life. While some people have a strong sense of who they are, others may be left feeling that they don't really understand their true selves after a break-up, loss of job etc. Leah Rodriguez speaks on a topic that is highly brushed under societies carpet and wants to get rid of this stigma that break-ups don't hurt and to take out this narrative that we are supposed to put out this facade of "City Girls" and "City Boys" attitude and not actually address how we truly feel.
