So... I Finally Moved Out For The First Time 🥹
Okay, no one told me how chaotic moving out actually is. My drainage stopped working, the lights decided to give up on me, and don’t even get me started on the WiFi — it was basically a decorative item at that point 😭
Looking back, there were so many things I wish someone had told me before I signed that rental agreement. So I figured... if I had to go through it the hard way, at least I can help you avoid the same mistakes 🫶
In this episode, I’m sharing all the DOs and DON'Ts of moving out for the very first time — from red flags to look out for, to little tips that’ll make your space actually feel like home. 💖
If you’re thinking about moving out soon (or just daydreaming about it), this one’s for you ✨

So... building a good credit score may not be that hard? You always hear that having a good credit score is important and difficult to maintain — but no one really tells you how to actually build one, especially when you're just starting out. We kept seeing this question pop up in our DMs and comments, so we decided to compile all your burning finance questions and answer them in this QnA episode of Figuring It Out 🔍With the help of finance pros Peter Yong and Frankie Lim, we learned that one of the easiest ways to build your credit score is by simply placing your recurring bills — like phone or Spotify — on your credit card and paying them off consistently 📱✅. It automates your credit usage, keeps your score active, and most importantly, it builds a healthy credit habit — as long as you treat your credit card like a debit card and only spend what you already have in cash 💸Want more tips like this? So… We Might Never Get to Retire 😳I used to think retirement was just something that happens when you turn 60 — you stop working, withdraw your EPF, and finally relax. But the reality? Most people finish their EPF savings within just 5 years of retiring 😨.Is it poor planning? Instant gratification? So… I Gave It My All and Still Almost Failed 😮💨Growing up, we were always told that if you just work hard, everything will work out. But what happens when you do give it your all… and it still doesn’t go the way you hoped? In this new segment called Yap & Chill, we’re slowing things down and chatting about some of the lessons we’ve learned in our early 20s — the good, the bad, and the brutally honest. So… Are We Really Weaker Than Our Parents’ Generation? 🤔Is it true that the older generation is more tahan lasak than us? Or are we just wired differently because we’ve grown up with more comfort and opportunity? 🧠💭 This was one of the many thought-provoking questions we answered in this career Q&A episode — where we tackled your DMs, comments, and late-night overthinking. From employer POVs to employee struggles, we did our best to give both sides of the story — even if the answers weren’t so straightforward. So...Apparently You Can Ask For a Pay Raise Just 3 Months In?! 😳💸Nobody really teaches you how to ask for a raise. And let’s be honest — just thinking about asking your boss for more money is nerve-wracking enough 😵💫. I always assumed you had to wait like... a year or two?? When I started working full-time, I thought I could handle it all — career, social life, love life… easy, right? So... I Almost Blew My Entire First Paycheck 😵💸
If you're a fresh grad who just started working, you probably know the rush of seeing your very first paycheck come in 💸. I was so excited, that I didn’t even realise how quickly I was spending it…but between spontaneous splurges, weekend plans, and treating myself a little too much… I didn’t realise how fast it was all disappearing 😮💨.
It hit me hard by the end of the month — and that’s when I knew I needed a system. A paycheck routine.
In this episode of Figuring It Out, Peter and I talk about how to build money habits that actually stick, how your lifestyle and spending should go hand-in-hand, and why budgeting isn’t just about saving, it’s about being intentional 🧠💸.
