This week, Elyse and Laurent sit down with landscape designer and founder of The Living Canvas, Thomas Diehl, to explore an unexpected perspective on creating a living space beyond interiors. Having worked with world renowned interior designers David Dalton and Martyn Lawrence Bullard, Thomas Diehl has created quite a name for himself, and his work, through his celebrity clientele, passion for landscape design, and keen eye (and nose) for internationally sourced plants that elevate outdoor spaces.

One year after hosting his wife, Interior Designer Edel Legaspi, Laurent and Elyse sit down with Christopher Courts of Christopher Courts Architecture to talk trends, historical influence, and the importance of legacy in your craft.
Piqued by his father's draft drawings as a child, Chris found his path into architecture early. LA-born and raised, he found new builds and historical LA architecture to be a seemingly endless source of inspiration, taking pride in his work to such an extent that he created healthy competition within each job, asking himself "how can I do that better?"
In the case of our previous guest Kevin Kolanowski's home, "better" meant creating a second story that blended with the stylistic integrity of the existing Silverlake property, while elevating the space to accommodate the tastes of the designer couple.
Teaming up with his wife to create Legaspi Courts Design, Chris and Edel used their differences in taste and aesthetic to create layered, dimensional spaces, rarely settling in immediate agreement, but challenging their ideas to create the best possible outcome.
With two parents in the home design field, will their daughter follow in her parents' footsteps like Chris did so long ago? Time will tell...

This week, Elyse and Laurent sit down with Sam Dever: Actor, Producer, Community Builder, Keynote Speaker, Host of The Social Media Podcast, Sam Dever Podcast, and Produce Your Passion Podcast, but most importantly a dear friend of the Clutter Bravado team. The Sam Dever Podcast is a long form conversation featuring guests from a variety of backgrounds who live and think "outside the box," with the intention to help inspire, educate and motivate others on their personal and professional journeys. While the landscape of the podcast industry is a bit of the "Wild Wild West" these days, with so many popping up and only a few sticking around for the long-haul, Sam has figured out how to stay curious, stay creative, and continue to share stories for the purpose of building something greater. Specifically, to give other creators proof that it can be done! Sam Dever's recent launch "Produce Your Passion" sharpens that vision even further, highlighting creators who aren't waiting for their big break, but facing their obstacles head-on to bring their dream to life. Whether it's crowdfunding a film, producing music, or starting the business they've always dreamed of creating, Produce Your Passion has a clear message: "At its core, Produce Your Passion exists to ignite action. It’s for those who feel a burning passion deep within but haven’t yet taken the leap—and for those already on the path, who need continued motivation and community to keep going."This episode was filmed on-location at the Kimberly Denman Showroom in Koreatown, Los Angeles, CADirected by Elyse CizekEdited by Elyse CizekTheme Song: The Poker Player by Anthony VegaWhere to Find Us:Instagram.com/clutterbravadoclutterbravado.comFind More about Sam Dever!samdever.comhttps://www.samdever.com/podcasthttps://www.thesamdeverpodcast.com/https://www.instagram.com/thesamdeverpodcast/https://www.produceyourpassion.com/https://www.produceyourpassion.com/podcast
Eric Chang, co-founder of Hellman Chang Furniture, began dreaming of designing furniture at a very young age, so when he hit his big break at 23 and found his early work in-demand by set designers for Sex and the City, Gossip Girl, and by hoteliers and celebrities alike, Chang knew his path toward success was paved. But how could he ensure that path was one of integrity as a furniture designer in an age of rip-offs, corner cutting, and outsourcing?Eric Chang and Laurent Rebuffel discuss the ins and outs of manufacturing in the USA, and how creating hand-crafted furniture in America can change the landscape of both interior design, and expectations for consumers used to low-quality low-price furniture that isn't meant to last. Creating heirloom furnishings to-the-trade is an art, as Chang compares it to fashion, akin to Hermes or Prada, while RH and Crate and Barrel are Banana Republic. Manufacturing true high quality furniture made by hand by craftspeople whose happiness is a major priority is an unfortunately uncommon but highly respected and sought-after business model, and Eric Chang aims to continue to improve upon it week by week, order by order. Hailing from Brooklyn, NY, now settled just outside of Atlanta, GA, Eric Chang and Hellman Chang along with American Manufacturers like Kimberly Denman Inc, are creating a tariff-proof solution to sourcing quality furniture in the USA. This week, Elyse and Laurent sit down with Eric Toms, writer and star of "My Dad's Kid," a play about distant half-siblings who unexpectedly leave an indelible mark on each others' lives currently running at the Beverly Hills Playhouse.
Los Angeles is known as a hub for actors, writers, film makers, and stars, but in the recent film slump, is Hollywood looking to pivot toward something more experiential? Eric Toms is betting on it. Actor, playwright, and community builder Eric Toms has built his career on creating networks for actors and writers to stay sharp and flex their creative muscles without the need for big studios or pricey festivals.
Host of Second Draft and founder of Night of Shorts Night, Toms creates connections between creatives in-person, allowing LA to become the backdrop, not the border wall, for creators to work together and support each others' art by sharing our most valuable asset--our attention.
Toms encourages fellow actors to "write it yourself," urging young creatives to create their own opportunities and support their fellow artists by simply showing up.
"The hardest part of theater is getting butts in seats." Elyse, a fellow performer with her own one-woman-show, could not agree more.
Support your local theater!!

This week, Elyse and Laurent explore the lived experience of the "multi-hypnenate". In a small diversion from their standard design-oriented interviews, your hosts sit down this week with friend and fellow artist Ari Tibi.
Ari Tibi grew up in a family of artists where art and business intertwined, so creativity has always been both her right and left hand. Music in particular is the language and center of it all — Ari plays six instruments (ten if you include bass and drums, poorly), tours as a hired gun on occasion, and dedicated most of her 20s to a female folk project called Luci.
This year, Ari released the first two songs from her solo project, fully self-produced — Visions and Synesthesia are both colorful, soulful, and a little bit weird in the best way. In the last few years Ari saw two original songs placed in TV and commercial spots, and at the top of 2025 went on her first solo tour with friend and mentor, Josh Radnor.
Outside of her own artistry, Ari has found a passion in music journalism — interviewing and writing about artists she admires. Her creative balancing act also includes acting in commercials with brands like Etsy, Skechers, AT&T and more. All in, Ari follows the muse, wherever it calls from.
In this episode, Ari discusses the creative process, her personal exploration of expression and all its' outlets, how to create a creative space and flow through her home, and how she finds inspiration through synethesia, her colorful view of the world around her.

This week, Elyse and Laurent get serious about their love for Los Angeles and all California has to offer as they sit down with LA Manufacturer, Founder of Fuse Lighting Kevin Kolanowski. Long-time friend of Laurent Rebuffel and Kimberly Denman, Kevin began his career in design as a design student in Chicago who relocated to Los Angeles to pursue his career as an interior designer. What he didn't expect, was that a need for a piece of lighting that did not yet exist would create a path toward becoming one of the most notable LA-based makers of fine and luxury lighting fixtures over the course of 25 years.
In a time of economic instability and an unpredictable future for importing and outsourcing within the interior design industry, Kevin and Laurent share something of a saving grace in common: local manufacturing and custom production. Kevin, through Fuse Lighting, is known to work closely with designers, creating custom pieces that the greater market lacks, in a Los Angeles-based workroom. This was no accident, either: Kevin shares his story of knocking on doors at workrooms and warehouses in DTLA, curious of what they were creating, and whether he might be able to work along with them.
Finding vendors and custom workrooms is a challenge for any designer, but Kevin and Laurent share their experiences building their networks and creating a tightly-knit team of designers, creators, artisans, and vendors to support their vision for great interior design in Los Angeles.

This week, Elyse and Laurent sit down with their dear friend and client Interior Designer Kourosh Babaeian (kbstudio.la), a young designer that has found the secret to staying busy and managing several projects at a time, while maintaining his inner child's desire to create beautiful spaces.
In this episode, we discuss the importance of hiring a designer rather than going it alone in designing one's own home. While some homeowners might want to DIY their home renovation, or decorate their home using the latest trends in home decor, Kourosh shares why this could be a huge mistake.
Stemming from his early childhood, Kourosh knew he was destined to be a successful designer. Through the power of raw talent, education at UCLA, and a willingness to ask questions, plus a hint of manifestation and a little luck, Kourosh remains in-demand as a hot young designer with an impressive portfolio.

*Blending Psychology, Fashion, and Interiors*
This week, Elyse and Laurent are joined by renowned fashion stylist-turned-designer William Graper. William Graper [williamgraper.com] created a name for himself in the New York fashion scene early into his career, getting his foot in the door at Interview Magazine, followed by an impressive tenure at Conde Nast. Williams keen eye for details and styling brought him into the world of interiors almost reluctantly, where he is now able to blend his own impeccable taste with his education in psychology to create a unique "outside, in" approach to working with clients.
This interview was a fascinating departure from the usual conversation around the business of design, into the inner world of a designer who blends vulnerability, transparency, and a delicate touch to create homes that aren't just beautiful to photograph, but are meant to be lived in.
