95 Misdiagnosed Bells Palsy vs Ramsay Hunt Syndrome

NOT Medical advice. What's the difference between Ramsay Hunt Syndrome and Bell’s Palsy? Bell's Palsy typically only affects the 7th cranial nerve. Ramsay Hunt Syndrome can impact several other cranial nerves, such as the 7th (like Bells Palsy) and the 5th, 8th, 9th, and 10th cranial nerves. Ramsay Hunt Syndrome can impact vision, eye closure, ear (along with balance), vertigo, hearing, and taste, for example.Everyone does not get a rash with Ramsay Hunt syndrome and there is an overlap of similar symptoms due to Ramsay Hunt impacting the same nerve that Bell’s Palsy does. 92 My Diagnosis With Bell's Palsy

A couple weeks ago I began to have some issues that I knew had to be more than just the common cold, ear infection, or sickness. My concerns were confirmed with a diagnosis of Bell's Palsy. This condition causes the facial nerves on one side to become paralyzed and lead to a host of other issues if not given the right support. I'm finally (by the Grace of God) not in as much pain as I was. I'm sharing the condition, what I believe led to my particular diagnosis with Bell's Palsy, what I'm doing as a Holistic Nutritionist to support my recovery, and some Faithful encouragement for you if you are in a season of diagnosis, healing, or chronic pain.
