Hello everyone, my name is Camron Gran. A year ago I checked myself into a partial hospitalization program and learned a lot about DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy) Skills. Something I noticed. There isn't a lot of immediate information for help in the mental help field. And just hearing about some of these skills would have helped me. So, each week I'm going to explore different DBT Skills through a form of entertainment (book, movie, tv show), and hopefully my own personal experience can help you with your own mental health journey.
For anyone interested, Show Up with Camron Gran is livebroadcasted every Monday at 5pm on 94.1 FM, WFNU, Frogtown Radio in the twin cities and on the Frogtown Radio App with Music.
The Podcast version will be posted on Wednesdays at 3pm, wherever you find your podcasts, as well as a video version of the show on YouTube on the @Gran_Central Youtube Channel.

Hello everyone, welcome to my first ever podcast. Each episode I'll be exploring a different DBT Skill and highlighting its teachings through a movie. This week's movie was suggested by Anthony Raus. The Seventh Seal, a black and white swedish film about a chess game between death and a knight during the the crusades. This week we're exploring Mindfulness.
A video version with subtitles is also available at YouTube on the @showupwcamgran YouTube Channel.
To continue the pattern of last week, I decided to give an overview of different mental health skills you can use in your own life by breaking down Stranger Than Fiction, starring Will Farrell, Emma Thompson, Queen Latifah, and Dustin Hoffman. It's one of my favorite movies of all time and it became a perfect foil to begin this journey through Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT).
You can listen to the radio version with music every Monday at 5pm on 94.1 FM, WFNU, Frogtown Radio, and the Frogtown App.
If you want to watch the video version it's available on The @Gran_Central Youtube Channel.
I'm so happy to announce this finally. I've been looking forward to advocating for mental health every week. A friend going through his own mental health journey and showcasing the tools and tips that have helped him along the way. My goal is to set up interviews as well. But for this first broadcast, I thought I'd give you all a chance to know me, especially my music taste.
But, that's right everyone I have a Radio show.
This Podcast is going live every Monday at 5pm on 94.1 FM, WFNU, Frogtown Radio, and the Frogtown App with music. You can also listen to the podcast version, wherever you listen, with an accompanied video version on Youtube at @Gran_Central, both without music.
